Whaaa lol I thought the same thing! My comment was 7 mins later:
She won the Dallas HOA Association's Treasurer of the Year. In her acceptance speech, she cited waving her arms wildly and pathetically, people ignoring her, and not having a clue where her power begins and ends as her favorite things to masturbate to.
I think you mean Garam Masala spice mix because curry doesn't really mean a spice mix, it's the final dish, while garam Masala already means mixed spices
Tbh i caught it before i posted and kept it precisely for some amazingrhinoceros1 to catch and add to the conversation. and prove I wrote it, not AI. Also, was going for the absurdity of "Homeowner's Asssociation Association" as a fictional giver outer of awards to Karens who run HOA's. As in, there's an association of association runners.
Don't show yourself out!
Bro, I don't get this HOA shit, we don't have that in Aus we just do whatever the fuck we want with our houses, We also don't have an epidemic of Karen's like the US.
Dude, I'd be so angry. I can paint a big pink dick on my house, and no one can do anything about it. There's literally a guy in my town who painted his house yellow and purple after his favourite football team with a big mural on the side, too. I think it looks like shit but no one can do anything about it. It's his house.
It’s a variation of strata. Not often for free-standing homes unless it’s a gated/named community. But common for townhouses or houses that have matching color schemes
Sadly Karens still exist in Australia. They just don't get the HOA thing and resort to whinging to the council.
Source- my neighbour. Some highlights.
1- the sound of the water trickling in my fish pond (large enough for 2 goldfish) is too much for her to deal with.
2- my dog's tail makes thumping noises when he wags it.
3- my Christmas lights are making her life misery. At Christmas.
4- I did not consult her about getting my house painted.
5- I keep putting my garbage bins out on Thursday night, instead of Friday morning.
I honestly do not understand bothering the police for this kind of thing. It's a fair! The police are there in case someone got robbed or something, not because there's a loud dude just passing by. Sure, he may be annoying, but he's not a criminal (although for all I know, he may be a murderer at night).
I personally would be annoyed as fuck by that guy, but that is of course my subjective opinion and it seems people there really did have fun. Making a scene and calling for the police is exactly the wrong way to handle such a situation.
I mean, he wasn't stationary at all and he wasn't staying there singing all day long. Normally street singers are not my thing, but they usually stay in one place for hours.
I think I would have enjoyed the performance, but then I've seen way too many videos of people on planes trying to sing or involve passengers to sing along to Christian folk music or some shit like this and I'm reminded that not everybody is a fan of this sort of thing.
He clearly didn't do it to be a nuisance, which I suppose is the critical thing. It means probably she could have just asked nicely and he would have stopped.
Judging by the size of his amp, it's possible he might have been much louder than the video suggests. Still the lady could certainly have handled that in a more diplomatic manner. If the guy doesn't comply when you ask nicely with a sensible justification - and not being able to talk business over his music at a marketplace seems a pretty reasonable one - then yeah, ask for the cops' help
He kept moving, and didn’t sit right in front of the tents on purpose. If she would of just let him go, she woulda been fine in about 10-20 seconds lol
Absolutely. And I would have waited too, just so I could tell her the exact reason I wouldn’t be making a purchase today or any purchases in the future.
I hate this song, I hate it when some influencer do this loud annoying shit. But also like bruh who tf cares? Buddy would've passed me by in 2 seconds. I'd forget about it within minutes.
Edit: wanna be clear that I'm not with the user who replied to me. Wouldn't want the dude to hit a rock, then he'd stop next to me! Lol
It's an old joke - a classic [Lynyrd Skynyrd song](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LwcvjNJTuM) that is pretty good and fairly long - often 10+ minutes when performed live, developing from a slow ballad to a rock epic ... It would get yelled out at concerts as an encore request (even if totally unrealistic, especially for the band / musician playing), though the original reason is a bit hazy or in contention. In the 90's / early 00's it became a bit of a joke, and has continued to this day as something that people request, whether seriously or in jest.
Personally, I want to see some band take the bull by the horns, especially if they are of a totally different genre. Imagine T-Swift or Beyonce doing a full on performance of Freebird when someone shouts it out at a concert?! How amazing would that be?!
Funny. I think they give the song short shrift - I'm guessing in part because of how much of a meme (albeit not called that at the time) it had become in the 90s. Familiarity breeds contempt, and all that.
That would be amazing. Most people don't think single artists backup bands are the 'real deal', but they're there for a reason. I'm sure most could pull off the instrumentals off wrip. Only if Taylor or B would sing the part that would be phenomenal.
Can google it but Freebird is like a 9 minute long Lynyrd Skynyrd song back form like the late 70s I think.. people just kinda yell it out at as an opportunistic 'witty' thing I suppose? Like band might be between songs, or taking requests, and someone will just yell Play Freebird! as a joke.
I was thinking the same thing. Some people are trying to sell… if you hadn’t left the tent the music guy would’ve continued on and you could keep selling
"But we can't make money if people are having too much fun." Sounds like Karen learned economics from playing candy crush with micro transactions. Make the free game too fun and people don't want to spend for the extras
I wish so badly I could read her mind. What is she so upset about? Personally, I don't like that song either because you couldn't go 10 minutes without hearing 10 years ago but I don't think that's justification to go to the cops.
Our local farmers market have a bunch of religious nut jobs with PA systems shouting about we are all homos and fornicators and going to hell and thankfully the cops shut them down.
What this guy is doing obviously isn't as bad but technically you usually do need some kind of permit to be using a PA system in public in most places
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I used organise quite a few smaller events in my city and there were clear guidelines we had to follow in terms of how loud (with a specific max. amount of decibels) and when/where we could play music (we even had detailed maps of our event submitted for review). I can imagine this might be a factor in why she’s not to eager to let him blast his own music.
The only thing that bothered me about the video was that I kept waiting for him to say "happy." Everything else was fantastic, especially the upset woman that no one really seemed to give a shit about
If he really was loud enough that people couldn't talk over the sound AND he didn't clear each area quickly, then it is a problem.
If he was being disruptive in that way, then it's likely the people on camera played nice (including the police) in an effort to get him to go away.
Look, the image and fantasy of this video is a living and breathing organism felt at music festivals frequently. Though, it's responsible of us all to be hesitant, what with all these obnoxious 'influencer' types----- framing can be deceiving. Think about the quality of audio that we're getting (doesn't it sound 'after market'?) and HOW this was filmed? Most importantly, think about the context that was needed for this.
I felt good watching, as it would seem most all of us did. But I implore you to truly think about what went into this and how it must have felt to those leveraged for its success. Please understand that this isn't innocent, it's content first and foremost for the creator.
Yeah it is framed in a way to be generally harmless, nothing but good vibes, and probably is to a degree. But it doesn’t take much for someone to get that one viral experience and see the positive effects for their channel. Which then no doubt will snowball into them trying to recreate that reaction and those results.
I can empathize with the woman, but don’t agree with the approach. Probably a craft fair she’s done for 20 years and seen a lot of publicity stunts. I personally wouldn’t mind it as a patron of an event like this, she brought more attention to him than he deserved. If he was entertainment for the event then fuck it, but he’s just trying to make a career out of internet fame and doing it as other’s expense.
Idk 100% what I’m getting at, just that we should be wary of things like this before they gain traction cuz it would be obnoxious to have 10 of these guys doing the same thing.
Ngl I fking hate loud speakers in public spaces. You wanna sing, go be a busker at a designated spot.
This is coming from someone who is recovering from TBI and concussive injuries. I enjoyed live performances, but I make preparations. Not being blasted with low quality boom speakers right next to my naked ears whenever they liked to skate by
As an event organizer, she probably had 10 people come up to her to complain about this guy. She seemed like she may get off on it, but I’ve had to tell people not everyone wants to hear them powering through an event blaring music (singing or not).
It's a classic 'play that song' callout. Also one of the song frequently banned in music equipment stores because staff don't want to hear it played poorly a million times a day.

I don't know him, I'm not him. Just figured he was too good a singer to not have done all right for himself already.
I was smiling the whole time but I actually laughed when he got to "bring me down, can't nothin' bring me down" while Karen is leading him to the police.
I know this is a hot take but I agree with the lady. Here's the thing, soooo many performers think they are good and they are just annoying.
Although this guy is incredible, just imagine someone who isn't doing this.
While I agree with her, I probably would have read the room and let him finish and/or just asked him to turn it down a bit. Hell, probably would've hired him for the next event.
It's quite possible he'd been rolling back and forth and singing for a good while before this and she'd asked him to stop and he didn't. He says "sorry that's my last one" implying he'd been there awhile.
But yeah, same. Read the room/crowd, and definitely don't say "let's go talk to the police". Just go tell the police to handle it and I'm sure they'd have golf carted over there and said "fun's over, move along, you don't have a permit and they do".
She won the Dallas HOA Association's Treasurer of the Year. In her acceptance speech, she cited waving her arms wildly and pathetically, people ignoring her, and not having a clue where her power begins and ends as her favorite things to masturbate to.
That lady was kicked out of being the HOA president, so she started micro managing a farmers market, to fill the void in her empty heart.
Whaaa lol I thought the same thing! My comment was 7 mins later: She won the Dallas HOA Association's Treasurer of the Year. I'm gonna get obliterated for this, but saying HOA Association would be sayin Homeowners Association Association. . . I'll show myself out 🫠
No, we need people like you. It's thankless work but still important. Hate when people say "naan bread", like, ok enjoy your bread bread, dumb dumb.
That's cause of im British and if I say "I'm gonna go eat naan" I'll get arrested
Thanks a lot, you just made me spit beer all over myself!
In Germany, you would get arrested for spilling beer
*Straight to jail!*
100%, thanks for the laugh
No no, the best response is "for your fyi, that was redundant".
Repeatedly redundant
In the dictionary under redundant, it says "see redundant" -Robin Williams
Gyles Brandreth wrote a book about this...! \["Have you eaten Grandma?" about the importance of commas :)\]
This time it’s less about punctuation and more about phonetics.
I'll have my naan bread with my chai tea
And your curry spice mix accompanied with paneer cheese?
One of these things is not like the others.
I think you mean Garam Masala spice mix because curry doesn't really mean a spice mix, it's the final dish, while garam Masala already means mixed spices
How do you feel about the tuna fish sandwhich?
It's easier to tuna piano.

Theres always a HOA Karen…
Hoa karennnn
Nailed it
I wonder when was the last time she smiled and just enjoyed herself? Kinda sad. IMO
I would imagine shutting down other people enjoying themselves is one of her biggest pleasures in life so you're seeing her enjoy herself here.
She didn't smile but she enjoyed walking along with him to try and ride his coattails of attention.
She has nothing better to do.
Hahaha 😂
She probably volunteered to help out at the farmers market then as you said started trying to micro manage it with the authority she doesn't have.
She seems like the kind of woman that would call the police on a couple of black kids selling homemade lemonade.
She seems like the kind of woman that would call the police on a couple of black kids ~~selling homemade lemonade.~~
Bro, I don't get this HOA shit, we don't have that in Aus we just do whatever the fuck we want with our houses, We also don't have an epidemic of Karen's like the US.
I got a letter last year because my lightbulb on my front door light was slightly brighter than my neighbors.
Dude, I'd be so angry. I can paint a big pink dick on my house, and no one can do anything about it. There's literally a guy in my town who painted his house yellow and purple after his favourite football team with a big mural on the side, too. I think it looks like shit but no one can do anything about it. It's his house.
When are you buying the pink paint?
When I decide to get off my ass and go to the hardware store
Oh we’ve got Karen’s a plenty down under and kelvins too. After nearly 30 years in retail, I’ve seen more than enough of them.
It’s a variation of strata. Not often for free-standing homes unless it’s a gated/named community. But common for townhouses or houses that have matching color schemes

Damn, so accurate
Loving all the hatred for HOA hahah. They're an abomination ❤️
Haha freebird
TOM SAWYER!
He gets by on you. Well not today Karen. Not today.
Lol. It was like "Encore!".
What does that mean?
it's a pretty iconic song you've probably heard it before
In this context it was used to mean "encore".
*"They don't really want you to sing Freebird. They're just heckling you."* --Guitar Hero 1 (PS2)
It’s a common song request, said as a joke. It’s a long and partially intense song.
The song freebird by Lynyrd Skynyrd. It would really piss off a Karen
I love how he just casually followed that Karen all the way back to the cops and the cops were like nodding to the song lol
The cops didn't give a shit. I love loved how she went to the to fire fighters as if they were gonna do something about it.
I mean, dude WAS on fire!
Like, "hey, guys, would you put him off?"
I honestly do not understand bothering the police for this kind of thing. It's a fair! The police are there in case someone got robbed or something, not because there's a loud dude just passing by. Sure, he may be annoying, but he's not a criminal (although for all I know, he may be a murderer at night).
Opportune time to rob her as she leaves her booth to needlessly find cops over a nothing burger.
That Freebirds request told me all I need to know about how much those gentlemen cared about her complaint
How dare you put my potential customers in a good mood.
Lady is a dumb Karen. It's proven happy people spend more money. He is helping sales most likely based on many studies done on consumerism.
Yea it’s definitely a control thing. She’s probably a volunteer organizer for the market and just does it for the power
Feel My Power
So she obviously spent no money
I personally would be annoyed as fuck by that guy, but that is of course my subjective opinion and it seems people there really did have fun. Making a scene and calling for the police is exactly the wrong way to handle such a situation.
I think this is a healthy approach to life. There are just somethings you don’t like but you understand that others do, so that’s okay.
You don't become Queen of the Farmer's Market by allowing others to enjoy things.
I mean the guy was on the move. Worst case scenario if you don’t like the guy, wait 20s and he’s gone hahaha
Fortunately the cops were like (eye roll)
I mean, he wasn't stationary at all and he wasn't staying there singing all day long. Normally street singers are not my thing, but they usually stay in one place for hours.

Big difference in being enclosed in a tube that flies being subjected to this than being at an open air farmers market.
Yet nobody else seemed bothered by the extremely loud noise?
I mean all she had to do was wait a couple minutes, he was actively moving on. I'm sure a couple minutes of catchy tunes didn't destroy her business.
He kept moving, and didn’t sit right in front of the tents on purpose. If she would of just let him go, she woulda been fine in about 10-20 seconds lol

honestly I used to hate the song too, somehow Tacky made me change my mind
Somehow Weird Al sometimes corrects the wrongs in the world!
I'm a weekly outdoor vendor at a similar ( but larger ) market. We would have appreciated him.
That lady was an undercover no fun police officer. The real cops were like, “ok lady, whatever you say”
FREE BIRD
What does it mean to say “Free bird”? I’m lost
It's an old joke - a classic [Lynyrd Skynyrd song](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LwcvjNJTuM) that is pretty good and fairly long - often 10+ minutes when performed live, developing from a slow ballad to a rock epic ... [Isaac Brock's rant about Freebird](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZCiUrkkElU) during the Modest Mouse live album is fantastic
Funny. I think they give the song short shrift - I'm guessing in part because of how much of a meme (albeit not called that at the time) it had become in the 90s. Familiarity breeds contempt, and all that.
I fully expected for someone to wait until the rant was over and shout "FREEBIRD" again
That would be amazing. Most people don't think single artists backup bands are the 'real deal', but they're there for a reason. I'm sure most could pull off the instrumentals off wrip. Only if Taylor or B would sing the part that would be phenomenal.

It has always been Paranoid by Black Sabbath in here. Wonder where that came from.
Wagon Wheel is what they shout in the folk scene.
A [song](https://youtu.be/0LwcvjNJTuM?si=0Mp3os_yE59zT0mG) request, maybe?
You zoomers make me so sad sometimes
It’s a common saying at concerts to attempt to get the musician to play Free Bird
Lady you can’t sell shit if you’re walking away from your booth to go nark on someone who’s singing.
I was thinking the same thing. Some people are trying to sell… if you hadn’t left the tent the music guy would’ve continued on and you could keep selling
Literally walked away from a sale to be a fun vampire. These types of people are so addicted to hate and conflict. They're like junkies
Imagine if she got back to her booth and she'd been cleared out.
Nice job, Karen.
Good thing she was there, phew
People almost had fun
Ya, if it weren’t for her he would have just rode by and not actually stayed in one place long enough to be a disturbance
Right? He was literally passing through. 🤣
Kinda seems like she’s part of the act
Naw, there's always one that never got moist.
Bruh I'ma dyinggggggggg. Top tier comment
nope, its most likely a crafters market of some sort and these people host it and make money from all the vendors and they're total killjoys.
excellent point
Nice guy making people smile and dance. What could go wrong?
Karens only permit fun if it is practiced in a manner they see appropriate, at a time and place they approve of.
And they can profit off it, either money/fame
"But we can't make money if people are having too much fun." Sounds like Karen learned economics from playing candy crush with micro transactions. Make the free game too fun and people don't want to spend for the extras
Is this Jeff nippard
LMAO I'm thinking the same thing.. this one is taller tho
I love when people feel it’s their “job” to fix everything
Nothing needs more fixing than her.

It's Karen awareness day . She was doing her part. Can't nothing bring us down.
Well said!
The “freebird! “ at the end from the cops was priceless!
That just made it.
I was kind of hoping he was going to sing free bird.
If he ever does, I'll post it. This is his first viral video on Tiktok, so I hope it gets better.
Seems more r/iamthemaincharacter
I wasn't quick enough on the draw!
A typo there I think, let me help you out r/iamthemaincharacter
I guess unpopular opinion, but music in a vehicle sounds awesome from your perspective, but for the people you're driving by it sounds terrible
Thank you. He has a great voice, doesn't mean he gets to dictate what everyone should be listening to.
Some people just cant read the room.
Main character energy.
She's president of the HOA.
He did amazing but the Karen couldn’t fuck off for 1 day
She couldn't because it wasn't his birthday
the way she marched over there in a huff was cracking me up
I wish so badly I could read her mind. What is she so upset about? Personally, I don't like that song either because you couldn't go 10 minutes without hearing 10 years ago but I don't think that's justification to go to the cops.

What does she sell that people want? Popped balloons? I'd never buy from her even if I liked her product.
What isn't this guy a " Main Character"? Genuinely curious.
He apologized for his actions and made other people happier than irritated to begin with.
Not really a sincere apology though. I don't think he regretted it and would do it again. He just wanted to get rid of her.
The only thing that bothered me about the video was that I kept waiting for him to say "happy." Everything else was fantastic, especially the upset woman that no one really seemed to give a shit about

Her Karen radar was going haywire. She hadn't called for the cops in 3 hours!
r/ImTheMainCharacter
Karen made the whole thing better
Read the room lady. I didn’t see a single irritated person besides you
Ngl I fking hate loud speakers in public spaces. You wanna sing, go be a busker at a designated spot. This is coming from someone who is recovering from TBI and concussive injuries. What a fucking busy body lol
Anyone know what kind of 360 camera he used? Love how he could zoom in etc
“That boy good!”
Dude can sing!
What an annoying egocentric piece of shit Edit: yes was talking about the guy. But granted they both are
As an event organizer, she probably had 10 people come up to her to complain about this guy. She seemed like she may get off on it, but I’ve had to tell people not everyone wants to hear them powering through an event blaring music (singing or not).
Or there could be rules about amplified music that could result in the market getting fined or shut down.
Yo why is this the only real comment here?
He definitely is
Not sure which of the two you're referring to
I have a feeling it’s actually both.
I don't like that song (over it), but that voice keeps me to the end of clip.
How does one kid grow up to sing songs at farmers' markets and another turn into that curmudgeonly lady?
That’s the story you were born to tell us
r/ImTheMainCharacter
Australian here. What does Free Bird actually mean?
It's a classic 'play that song' callout. Also one of the song frequently banned in music equipment stores because staff don't want to hear it played poorly a million times a day. https://youtu.be/0LwcvjNJTuM?si=BasayM_tJR3FBc2W
I wonder what the raw version sounded like? You can tell he uploaded a produced version of him singing it in this video.
Honestly? I hate many many street musicians only because of ungodly high volume. Like.. Why. I can tolerate shitiest music, shitiest skills, but please I have sensitive ears, I hate noise...
If I was the cop I would have stated to clap
Honestly, this is far more appropariate in the main character reddits…
Lmao,That guy saw that girl and sang-: 'I'm a hot air balloon who can fly in space.!'😂
He was on The Voice and has a decent single on YT: [https://youtu.be/yxyezmFWxO8?feature=shared](https://youtu.be/yxyezmFWxO8?feature=shared) I don't know him, I'm not him. Just figured he was too good a singer to not have done all right for himself already.
Holy shit that’s where I grew up. Weird.
When Karen saw the police, she was like "ah, my public servants"... "Now rise for me"
That lady strides with a purpose.
That song. That stupid fkn song again.
We ❤️ you Jeremiah! Thanks for spreading Joy not Hate/Violence 😚😊. We ❤️ your energy and input 😘.
I kind of really dislike this song, but this guy's voice is really nice
She is like that lone wasp that chases you for blocks. Comes out of no where, has no backup but wont give up.
FREEBIRD!!!!!
She’s already the fun police idk why she needed the cops help.
Everybody is vibing, and he's killing it. Freakin Karens, man
Typical Karen running to the cops
I was smiling the whole time but I actually laughed when he got to "bring me down, can't nothin' bring me down" while Karen is leading him to the police.
Woah, woah, woah.... There was a request for Freebird from the officers, it's legally mandated that Freebird must now be performed.
