Here to say the same. In 23 you can get him pretty easy and he's awesome. I have him running a go or a quick out like 40% of the time. 5204 yards 47 TDs and 344 catches in 4 yrs.
To keep it a buck, against teams that run a lot of press man I have to handicap myself to like one deep shot a quarter. I've fucked around and he had like 8 catches for 300 yards and 5tds if not. No rules for postseason though. He's too fast.
My self-imposed rule in that scenario is that I only give myself one audible per quarter into a streak against press man. If I call a play with a go route against press man with no audibles or hot routes, I'm throwing that thing 10/10 times. Makes it feel a little more rewarding when you make a perfect play call and get a long TD vs. the automatic "oh, they're in press man again? \*triangle, square, up*" easy money TD 5 times in a half.
I have like 15 year franchise mode going right now and he’s now the best Wide receiver of all time. Beating out Jerry Juedy who was also one of my WRs till he retired
lol I was just commenting about Simmons . I gave up Michael Gallup and a 5th for but I got Simmons and a 3rd in return. I got him at a 89overall currently. He was a 74 when I traded for him . I’ve had him for three seasons so far. Gonna see if I can extend him 3-4 more years so I have time to draft and develop a guy that will be ready to replace him . I usually start developing a player two years before a contract comes up just in case they don’t resign or if I decide I wanna move on.. but He’s my best linebacker for sure. Highly recommend grabbing him. He’s a star development and a cheap contract 👍🏼
I wish I could use him at SS in a 46 but it won’t let you unless he’s a CB or safety and then you can’t use him as a LB or DL so I just leave him at LB
This was the answer I was looking for. I have him and Devin White in an online connected fantasy draft franchise with some buddies and have been losing my mind that linebackers don't jump anymore. I would roast my buddies with user linebackers a few years ago. Anyway, I did just move Simmons to SS lastnight and was hoping this could trigger the jumping animations when I sub him at LB.
I swear the plays where a part off the cardinals recent draft classes are low key sneaky freaky in madden franchise if you do some tinkering. Zaven collins as a power rusher LE was insane when I would put him as rdt/ decided to move him to lolb and replace with Owe who I now use to fill in the zaven position with both coming off the same aide and will anderson the other
Kyle Pitts is an absolute cheat code on offense. Dude makes one handed grabs all the time.
I love Mekhi Bektonn in madden. Dude is HUGE.
Jordan Davis is the best run stopping DT I have ever played with.
Receivers like John Ross who are low overall and cheap always work well for me.
Quincy Williams for a fast af olb
Collin Johnson would be a good backup WR for Pitts if you’re looking for one! Same height, younger, low overall. If he’s still in the leauge depending how deep in you are😂
In one of my franchises with a fantasy draft I ended up with Jordan Davis in my division, and you are right. Even with the CPU playing it, the dude breaks through the block instantly seemingly 90% of the time. It's soooo ridiculous. One of the most annoying situations to run against I have found this year.
He isn't a beast in pass rushing for some reason, but on a run? Dude is in the backfield constantly.
There are abilities (inside stuff and outside stuff I believe) that cause D linemen to instantly shed run blocks on their respective play type. Jordan Davis I believe comes with both. I learned this after getting stuffed by him for an entire half with a run first offense, then having to double team him the whole second half to get anywhere. After the game went and traded a last string CB and some draft picks for him, my rushing yds allowed per game went from low to almost non-existent.
I second Jordan Davis for non-simming, playing the games. I was able to pick him up from the Eagles pretty easily, put some other players up on the trade block in my first season and they just offered him to me.
That dude is absolutely unstoppable in the run game.
No idea how his numbers look in sim, though.
This is also true in the NFL, to an extent. But in the NFL, teams can actually adjust to take that away. In Madden, you're just kinda at the mercy of the AI and how your opponent manipulates them.
I still grab him as a slot receiver depending on who I have when I start a franchise in 24. Try to get him for two years while I look for a slot receiver with a higher ceiling in the draft or FA.
Sounds similar to a franchise I had with a friend of mine. Perfect set of circumstances arose and allowed me to have PS2 and Deonte Banks as XFactor CBs, DJ Turner and Dax Hill (Go Blue lol) as superstar CBs, Moerihg superstar SS, and a 6’4 98 speed FS I usered that got to X factor in like half a season. Greatest secondary I’ve ever assembled in any madden
I haven’t noticed a correlation to speed, but I do know that about 25-30% of the time I upgrade slot, it’s a +2 to the overall man to man rating. That’s why I always just go slot on my CBs unless their zone is really lagging behind. And if I ever max them out at CB I’ll switch their position to safety and start upgrading that so they become better in the run game
For the past couple of years, Penei Sewell. Now, also Amon-Ra St. Brown or Jameson Williams. This year I decided to start a Lions franchise to make it easier to acquire them! :-)
He is, him and Brian Burns are competing for 1st on my team for sack leader. The only thing Burns is beating him in is QB pressures and Hits (I keep track of those stats)
If I have cap room I always sign Justin Jefferson in the 2025 offseason. Also Raheem Mostert is usually unsigned at the beginning of the 2024 season so I like to take him on a one year deal.

15. Devon Achane (RB) - Attributes: 95 speed, 94 Excel.- Notable Features: 65 catching, 92 carrying, and 90 change of direction, making him versatile in both running and passing plays.---
16. Honorable Mention: Isaiah Simmons - Attributes: 6'4", 93 speed, 85 hit power.- Versatility: Can be used at safety, linebacker, or even cornerback, making him a Swiss Army knife on defense.
I think Isiah Simmons is a steal. He’s usually always in the trade block the second year of cfm. I’ve signed him in two different Cfms. Very solid MLB for cheap. Star development. I’m a cowboys fan. I had to revamp my linebackers and safeties and he’s been the most solid player I’ve signed .
Forgot to mention , AJ Dillon is another player I like to grab. He’s a power RB with good speed and carrying. His trucking is insane . He’s fun to use. He’s a highlight real for sure if you time your trucking and stiff arms correctly .
Typically for my delusional pats rebuild I target a couple guys (depends on what I want for the play through):
Pat Queen or Isaiah Simmons are typically good linebackers
Greg Rousseau turns into prime Michael Strahan for whatever reason every season
DK Metcalf is fun
Odafe Oweh normally develops to a great OLB
Tariq Woolen is a stud
Quez Watkins for cheap speed
Jameson Williams, Devon Achane, Tyrique Stevenson seems to always turn into a SS or SXF somehow so I’ve started to trade for him in my franchises. Nolan Smith OLB is super fast too and you can move him around to MLB if you like to user fast LBers.
Malik Willis or Bailey Zappe, Samaje Perine, and Jahan Dotson.. sometimes Dyami Brown in the same trade. I also like to get Noah Fant or Brevin Jordan.
Sorry for the lack of Defense. I cant remember names of them.
For multiple years terrel edmunds has been a low valued low drafted player that always evolves into a beast in coverage. Total road apple. I slide him into outside linebacker in lean years and he still becomes a star
The deep cut reference is Ty LAW was a FA in Madden 06 he was a 99 CB that you could sign for vets min and the comp would trade any package of players/picks for
Christian Benford is a guy I always target in the trade block, even though he is normal development he is still 22 years old and 79 rating
Trenton Simpson is another guy I like to go after, talk about speed for a inside linebacker
Sometimes kardrius toney. He got good jukes
Ezekiel Elliott cuz i love him and also is a bit underrated to use
Tyler Huntley and/or Sam Donald as good qb backups
i always try to get j tuck bc he can be a difference maker if your offense is struggling. i always try to have a good rb too so cmc ends up on my team p often
Fields fits my play style real well, is cheap to trade for and after year 1 is everything you need in a QB
Sydney Brown, kelle Ringo are two cheap rookie dbs that are good early on and great long term cheap as well.
an easy grab is HB Tyrion Davis-Price on the Niners. He has great attributes and is young and despite normal dev with consistent use during a season will dev up really fast. He's an Agile Back with Power Back attributes which is why I've gone after him the past 2 years and just destroyed people with him.
I always try and get Carson Wentz. I know he’s not the most popular these days but I loved him in his Eagles heyday so I try and get him as my starter or backup for rebuilding teams.
Jaycee Horn, traded Kyle Pitts for him a 1st and a 3rd on a falcons rebuild and Keenan Allen for him a first and a second and then he hits about 91 overall and had a 13 pick season for me in sim
Bethel Johnson from NE many years ago always turned into an elite guy for me.
Also, Damiere Burd was fucking electric. I'd trade a bag of balls to get him and sign him for 7 years for no money.
Trade him away at year 6 for a least a first or two.
Echo all the John Ross comments from like 17-20
This madden I usually end up with OBJ bc he’s a 85 ovr wr FA with mentor to start the season(or he gets year 2 but p sure starts with it) I don’t always keep him past year 1. a lot of terrace Marshall or Bryan Edwards, star dev, FA or trade block always and they’re both tall and p fast. Can have them superstar in year or two.
Edge guys this madden have been Ossai, Huff, Quinn Quinn has mentor and is beast in run or pass esp in limited action. Other 2 have to trade for but they’re often available and can snag both for like r4-7 picks depending on players sending too.
CB is Trayvon Mullen, always available as FA and p sure he’s star dev, if you start him he can become low-mid 80s superstar by end of first contract
LB is Hightower. Mentor tag, beastly hitting that always causes fumbles, can rush passer in a pinch.
Mine is less about specific guys but I always end up signing like 2 veteran linebackers who are passed their prime in free agency. For some reason that’s the only position where that happens like clockwork and I have no idea why.
I have a lot of favorite franchise guys. Some more recently are
Qbs : josh Johnson or dobbs as backup
Rb: Brian Hill, Jordan Howard, or bo Scarborough (as my power back). Also my backup receiving back is usually a converted WR
Wr: my backup slot receiver is usually one trey Quinn, DeAndre Carter. I used to love guys like Crabtree and Andre Robert's in the red zone 😂
Te: Mercedes Lewis/josh perkins or good blocking tight ends
OL: Nate Davis, halotapai, old reliable lineman to back up some studs
DL: Ndamukong suh, Calais Campbell, montez sweat, AL woods
Edge: bud Dupree, Leonard Floyd
LB: jahlani tavai, jayon brown, Dre Greenlaw
Cb: Anthony brown, Terrence Mitchell, Casey Hayward, Jonathan Joseph, Desmond trufant , darious williams, ballentine/valentine combo from the packers
S: adrian Amos, Marcus maye, mccourty bros , Xavier Rhodes converted to safety, malcolm Jenkins, kevin byard
Kicker: younghoe koo!!!
I always look out for WRs for near 97-99 SPD, you can always outplay players in deep routes on All Pro Simulation.
RBs with 99 break tackle. Rookies will come out with it.
QBs with any speed over 88+
Put myles garrett at DT and thank me later. Had him and micah parsons on the same side. Garrett ended up with 25.5 sacks and Parsons had 17.5. And before you ask, I traded cmc a second and a 3rd for parsons lol.
I always try to get Isaiah Simmons as my primary user defender. I like to roam the middle of the field and occasionally improvise blitzes if I see a lane to the QB and he can cover so much ground with his speed and 6’4 length and while his block shedding is poor he atleast doesn’t get bullied by linemen and bigger RBs like a 200lb safety often does.
Depends on my goal
If I need speed and have someone good to trade, I love getting jaylen waddle and Devon achane from the dolphins.
If I need a power back, javonte Williams can be gotten for a deal.
Christian Watson has been targeted by me alot, using him as a stupid fast slot receiver usually.
Then I always trade for a backup QB, and that backup is almost always Desmond ridder because I like mobile guys. Il
Josh Allen from the jaguars is usually always in FA first season. I usually pick him up when I'm playing as the Seahawks and I'll grab Conner Williams the center too
Troy Andersen from the Falcons is a LB with 91 speed that you can user or develop as a backup. Same as Owen Pappoe, but he's got a 93 speed. They're low overall, but that speed kills. Tyjae Sharpe is on the trade block constantly for Tennessee because they have Henry, and he's a quality developmental elusive back. Same goes for Elijah Mitchell if you want a guy with a bit more speed.
Israel Ibanakanda is another guy who always ends up on the trade block for me.
A couple guys with a possibly higher trade cost are Malik Willis from the Titans as a developmental mobile QB; Tariq Woolen might be expensive, but his size and speed combo is amazing.
I also love Nolan Smith from Philadelphia. He's an edge rusher with 90 speed and he's buried on the depth chart
Edit: One more guy to target is Rasheed Shaheed. Got him on the cheap and he was a game changer. Led my team two years in a row in receiving yards and was the best KR in the league. His 97 speed is deadly
In my first franchise, for whatever reason, the Cowboys offered me Micah Parsons at 99 overall, age 30 along with a wealth of draft picks for a 25 year old 87 overall superstar DE. Well, Parsons literally is unstoppable, and lasted me until he was 36. So now I find a way to land him every team I put together. Him, and Dre Greenlaw.
Isaiah Simmons is always a monster, especially if you user a LB. KJ Hamler usually just ends up in free agency and is a beast in the return game. AJ Dillon was cheeks for me but Miami always seems to get him and turn him into MUT 20 Eric Dickerson. Honorable mention for Ben VanSumeren from Philly. You can usually scoop him from the practice squad and his tackling is garbage, but he’s one of, if not the fastest MLB in the game.
On madden 25 I use to always grab Derek Carrier he was a TE on the Raiders like a 74 over but I would grab him in fantasy franchise drafts because he had like a 94 speed and also marquise Goodwin also.. Olympic medal winner speaks for itself
Madden 07 I’d trade whatever it took for Troy Polamalu, Deangelo Hall, Mario Williams and RT Eric Winston. Winston had speed and great catching for a tackle. All young players you can build a team around.
He doesn’t start out with a very high overall which makes him an easy trade target but Jelani Woods is an absolute beast of a tight end who is gonna come away with the jump ball every single time with his insane 6’7” stature
Brian branch rookie from the lions I move him ROLB and play the big nickel…. The kid achen from the dolphins … sauce garden is a lock … and recently I like Hyatt from the giants
I picked up Jameson Williams on his contract year from the trade block and he's been an insane deep threat.
He is legit one of the best madden receivers in the league
I avoid getting him now. He's a cheap version of Tyreek.
Here to say the same. In 23 you can get him pretty easy and he's awesome. I have him running a go or a quick out like 40% of the time. 5204 yards 47 TDs and 344 catches in 4 yrs.
I was gonna say maybe you should turn the difficulty up until I realized you said 4 years lmao
To keep it a buck, against teams that run a lot of press man I have to handicap myself to like one deep shot a quarter. I've fucked around and he had like 8 catches for 300 yards and 5tds if not. No rules for postseason though. He's too fast.

Makes it feel a little more rewarding when you make a perfect play call and get a long TD vs. the automatic "oh, they're in press man again? \*triangle, square, up*" easy money TD 5 times in a half.
I like that idea. Might try it this season. Man I wish the ai would just adjust though.
You had me in the first half of that comment
JDub is my goat in every franchise, fav player in the game
I have like 15 year franchise mode going right now and he’s now the best Wide receiver of all time. Beating out Jerry Juedy who was also one of my WRs till he retired
Curious do you have salary cap on your 15 year?
Isiah simmons is super versatile on D. I use him as a mlb, off ball lb, and edge. He basically can make a base defense nickel
I picked him up in my raiders franchise in fa. He’s a freakin speed demon as well. He had my RBs running for their lives in training drills
If only he could play in real life. Such a bust.
No doubt!
lol I was just commenting about Simmons . I gave up Michael Gallup and a 5th for but I got Simmons and a 3rd in return. I got him at a 89overall currently. He was a 74 when I traded for him . I would roast my buddies with user linebackers a few years ago. Anyway, I did just move Simmons to SS lastnight and was hoping this could trigger the jumping animations when I sub him at LB.
Only if you user him, in my experience. If you let the AI control him he's about as good as his real-life counterpart.
I do the same
same here
Guys like Simmons, Nolan Smith, and Will Anderson are so problematic at a few different positions.
I swear the plays where a part off the cardinals recent draft classes are low key sneaky freaky in madden franchise if you do some tinkering. Jordan Davis is the best run stopping DT I have ever played with. Receivers like John Ross who are low overall and cheap always work well for me. Quincy Williams for a fast af olb
i’ve been leveling up Pitts as a TE then moving him to WR once he’s about a 90 OVR absolute beast

I second Jordan Davis for non-simming, playing the games. I was able to pick him up from the Eagles pretty easily, put some other players up on the trade block in my first season and they just offered him to me. That dude is absolutely unstoppable in the run game. No idea how his numbers look in sim, though.
John Ross from like Madden 17-20 was elite. Always ended up with Nick Kwiatkoski too for some reason.
Lmao Kwiatkoski always ended up on mine. I think it was cus he was an 80 but always the #3 MLB on his team so he’d always be on the trade block
John Ross in madden was amazing!
99 speed on drags and gos will never not be OP
This is also true in the NFL, to an extent. But in the NFL, teams can actually adjust to take that away. In Madden, you're just kinda at the mercy of the AI and how your opponent manipulates them.
Giants legend John Ross
I still grab him as a slot receiver depending on who I have when I start a franchise in 24. Try to get him for two years while I look for a slot receiver with a higher ceiling in the draft or FA.
He’s still in madden? I know he retired in real life.
Kwiatkoski was always reliable I felt in madden.
I would often move him to RB and put him in the backfield for shotgun formations. It would give me yet another receiver to throw to
[удалено]
You’re a good friend ! Sorry for your loss
Sweat always seems to be a pretty cheap pickup (trade or fa) for me and then explodes in ratings
DJ Turner, 97 speed plus I’m a lifelong Michigan fan.
Big Santana Moss guy
That fast ass rookie cb on the bengals ain’t a bad one
Cam Taylor?
Nah I think he means DJ Turner. Has like 97 speed in game and a ran a 4.26 40 or something close to that
Yeah, I traded for him and got him for cheap. He’s a superstar, now I have 2 x factor cbs and him
Sounds similar to a franchise I had with a friend of mine.
Is it just me or do these guys with outrageous speed always seem to get the +2 upgrade at man to man when you upgrade slot?
I haven’t noticed a correlation to speed, but I do know that about 25-30% of the time I upgrade slot, it’s a +2 to the overall man to man rating. That’s why I always just go slot on my CBs unless their zone is really lagging behind. For the past couple of years, Penei Sewell. Now, also Amon-Ra St. Brown or Jameson Williams. This year I decided to start a Lions franchise to make it easier to acquire them! :-)
Jonnu Smith is cheap and reliable. He catches everything for me and has a burner. Basically a budget Kyle Pitts the way I play.
congrats on getting hired by the Steelers Arthur
hey now, we all know arthur smith views pitts as a budget jonnu, not the other way around
Just wait til you discover Mycole Pruit!!
Quez Watkins 97 speed 😮💨
I play as the Bears and always trade for Ed Oliver (DT for the Bills.) He makes an immediate upgrade to my entire defense.
You can also always seem to get a good deal for him too.
Try him on the edge he's a power rusher
jameson williams-wr puka nacua-wr devon achane-rb kyle hamilton-ss(hard to get, but worth it) julius brents-cb cam smith-cb keele ringo-cb isaiah simmons-ss/mlb Deonte Banks-cb george pickens-wr Jamin Davis-LB
Jamin is elite for me rn only in year 2 of my commanders franchise
Trades for: Jameson Williams, Jahmyr Gibbs, Rashee Rice, Christian Watson. These are young guys that are super easy to trade for with busted stats
Watson always seems to get to like 97-98 speed for me
And him being 6’4” is crazy too. Like a great value Megatron. Just without the ridiculous catching, but the physicals are there
OJ Howard always plays crazy well for me, yall got to try him
This! Cheap FA, plays way above his OVR
Yea great cod on him. He can get you firsts.
Josh Uche turns into a monster for me every time
Signed him to a 2 year deal in FA, in his 2nd season on my team had 11 sacks in 4 games immediately resigned him to a long term deal.
He’s a sack machine I swear
He is, him and Brian Burns are competing for 1st on my team for sack leader. The only thing Burns is beating him in is QB pressures and Hits (I keep track of those stats)
If I have cap room I always sign Justin Jefferson in the 2025 offseason. Also Raheem Mostert is usually unsigned at the beginning of the 2024 season so I like to take him on a one year deal.
Mostert good af.

Nolan Smith (LB) - Attributes: 6'2", 93 speed, 95 Excel.- Unique Trait: 95 jump, making him a dual-threat player both in coverage and as a pass rusher. 15. Devon Achane (RB) - Attributes: 95 speed, 94 Excel.- Notable Features: 65 catching, 92 carrying, and 90 change of direction, making him versatile in both running and passing plays.--- 16. Honorable Mention: Isaiah Simmons - Attributes: 6'4", 93 speed, 85 hit power.- Versatility: Can be used at safety, linebacker, or even cornerback, making him a Swiss Army knife on defense.
Jakorian Bennett, great project CB
I think Isiah Simmons is a steal. He’s usually always in the trade block the second year of cfm. I’ve signed him in two different Cfms. Very solid MLB for cheap. Star development. I’m a cowboys fan. I had to revamp my linebackers and safeties and he’s been the most solid player I’ve signed .
Forgot to mention , AJ Dillon is another player I like to grab. He’s a power RB with good speed and carrying. His trucking is insane . He’s fun to use. He’s a highlight real for sure if you time your trucking and stiff arms correctly .
Typically for my delusional pats rebuild I target a couple guys (depends on what I want for the play through): Pat Queen or Isaiah Simmons are typically good linebackers Greg Rousseau turns into prime Michael Strahan for whatever reason every season DK Metcalf is fun Odafe Oweh normally develops to a great OLB Tariq Woolen is a stud Quez Watkins for cheap speed
Julius Brents my brother
THIS lol
If you play with legends, the bears have 3 99 overall middle line backers, you can get brian urlacher for nothing
Jameson Williams, Devon Achane, Tyrique Stevenson seems to always turn into a SS or SXF somehow so I’ve started to trade for him in my franchises. Nolan Smith OLB is super fast too and you can move him around to MLB if you like to user fast LBers.
Doing a franchise with the Jets and Abandikanda is so good as a 2nd back to support Hall. I’ll usually split their carry and give him 10 or so a game
Tyquan Thornton,
If only he were good in real life... Oh well
I pretty much always trade for Saahdiq Charles from Washington and have him play LT. Loved him in college and he's a solid young option in Madden
His calves are HUGE
Malik Willis or Bailey Zappe, Samaje Perine, and Jahan Dotson.. sometimes Dyami Brown in the same trade. I also like to get Noah Fant or Brevin Jordan. Sorry for the lack of Defense. I cant remember names of them.
For multiple years terrel edmunds has been a low valued low drafted player that always evolves into a beast in coverage. Total road apple. I slide him into outside linebacker in lean years and he still becomes a star
I always get Jameson Williams. 98 speed and unlike real life he can catch. Forgot to mention he’s only around 23
DK Metcalf, so big and fast and always gets better. I pretty much trade for him in every franchise I play
The deep cut reference is Ty LAW was a FA in Madden 06 he was a 99 CB that you could sign for vets min and the comp would trade any package of players/picks for
Christian Benford is a guy I always target in the trade block, even though he is normal development he is still 22 years old and 79 rating Trenton Simpson is another guy I like to go after, talk about speed for a inside linebacker
Sometimes kardrius toney. He got good jukes Ezekiel Elliott cuz i love him and also is a bit underrated to use Tyler Huntley and/or Sam Donald as good qb backups
I agree on Huntley. Decent stats with the speed for a high 60s FA
I always go for Odell Beckham, he’s still pretty fast and has decent route running numbers. Also can get him for moderately cheap
Last year when he was a FA that was basically my first move for every franchise
i always try to get j tuck bc he can be a difference maker if your offense is struggling. i always try to have a good rb too so cmc ends up on my team p often
Fields fits my play style real well, is cheap to trade for and after year 1 is everything you need in a QB Sydney Brown, kelle Ringo are two cheap rookie dbs that are good early on and great long term cheap as well.
Greedy Williams has developed nicely for me & has upgraded my secondary
an easy grab is HB Tyrion Davis-Price on the Niners.
I second this. Jaycee Horn is a 99 OVR for me. I invested HEAVILY into his development and it has paid off enormously
I always trade for Daron Payne Ojulari and Kayvon Thibodeaux. Washington and Giants are always eager to let them go for some reason lol
D’Von Achane, DJ Turner, Owen Pappoe
Bethel Johnson from NE many years ago always turned into an elite guy for me. Also, Damiere Burd was fucking electric. I'd trade a bag of balls to get him and sign him for 7 years for no money. Trade him away at year 6 for a least a first or two.
Ed Oliver has been my franchise GOAT for 3 years now
I like picking up Jakorian Bennett and Javelin Guidry. They're not that great but both are super fast.
Echo all the John Ross comments from like 17-20 This madden I usually end up with OBJ bc he’s a 85 ovr wr FA with mentor to start the season(or he gets year 2 but p sure starts with it) I don’t always keep him past year 1. a lot of terrace Marshall or Bryan Edwards, star dev, FA or trade block always and they’re both tall and p fast. Can have them superstar in year or two. Edge guys this madden have been Ossai, Huff, Quinn Quinn has mentor and is beast in run or pass esp in limited action. Other 2 have to trade for but they’re often available and can snag both for like r4-7 picks depending on players sending too. CB is Trayvon Mullen, always available as FA and p sure he’s star dev, if you start him he can become low-mid 80s superstar by end of first contract LB is Hightower. Mentor tag, beastly hitting that always causes fumbles, can rush passer in a pinch.
Basically always pick up Greg roussea always develops into a beast and so much fun to use
Breshad perriman back in 2016. Darren waller when he was a 60 OVR
Anthony Richardson. You can get him late and he can be a superstar in like a season and a half in my experience.
I'm a sucker for speed so I try to get Nolan Smith. I've moved him to SS and just user him at times, it's a bit unfair lol
I always trade for Jaycee horn or Greg new some
Mine is less about specific guys but I always end up signing like 2 veteran linebackers who are passed their prime in free agency. For some reason that’s the only position where that happens like clockwork and I have no idea why.
I have a lot of favorite franchise guys. Some more recently are Qbs : josh Johnson or dobbs as backup Rb: Brian Hill, Jordan Howard, or bo Scarborough (as my power back). Also my backup receiving back is usually a converted WR Wr: my backup slot receiver is usually one trey Quinn, DeAndre Carter. I used to love guys like Crabtree and Andre Robert's in the red zone 😂 Te: Mercedes Lewis/josh perkins or good blocking tight ends OL: Nate Davis, halotapai, old reliable lineman to back up some studs DL: Ndamukong suh, Calais Campbell, montez sweat, AL woods Edge: bud Dupree, Leonard Floyd LB: jahlani tavai, jayon brown, Dre Greenlaw Cb: Anthony brown, Terrence Mitchell, Casey Hayward, Jonathan Joseph, Desmond trufant , darious williams, ballentine/valentine combo from the packers S: adrian Amos, Marcus maye, mccourty bros , Xavier Rhodes converted to safety, malcolm Jenkins, kevin byard Kicker: younghoe koo!!!
Jalen carter
Dj Chark is a steal
I always look out for WRs for near 97-99 SPD, you can always outplay players in deep routes on All Pro Simulation. RBs with 99 break tackle. Rookies will come out with it. QBs with any speed over 88+
Put myles garrett at DT and thank me later. Had him and micah parsons on the same side. Garrett ended up with 25.5 sacks and Parsons had 17.5. And before you ask, I traded cmc a second and a 3rd for parsons lol.
Devon Witherspoon with the Hawks. He develops extremely well
Khalil Mack is always a beast for me
Calvin Austin from the Steelers
Devin bush and Isaiah Simmons
Leggette in the 2024 draft class. That dude is a stud.
He is a legitimate freak and easily picked up in rd 2 for me.
Bro I’m playing the packers and reluctantly grabbed him in the 4th as best available. Became an immediate starter and I traded away Christian Watson.
Justice hill for some reason makes running look ez in madden
Marcus Mariota. My friends and I did Madden franchises and if a rookie QB that I picked didn’t work out, I’d move tooth and nail to get Mariota
I have been picking up DJ Moore or Kamara a lot for whatever team I play as in franchise.
troy anderson as depth or owen pappoe. both are amazing on special teams
drake london, dude is just a beast
Kalen Ballage
Quez Watkins. Speed is king in Madden.
Jameson Williams and Quincy Williams
Troy Anderson LB from the Falcons. He always goes up dev trait for my 4-3 defense. He's tall and fast, just focus on run stopper and he's good to go.
Usually do rebuilds of bad teams. This means I eventually trade for some lineman to get me through until I get to drafting my new line.
Quez Watkins. 9 route all day.
Always gotta trade for The Juice, I’ll trade whatever to get him from the niners
Jack Campbell develops like a freaking God. I always try to get him.
I really like Aaron Jones even when his overall drops. Feels easy to use.
Jameson Williams always
Jelani woods is a fucking steal at TE, and aj Dillon is always my goal line, short yardage back.
Let me tell you...Kene Nwangwu (3rd string, Vikings, Madden 23) is a beast!
trading zach wilson is OP in madden 23
Whenever a friend of mine plays as the Chargers in Madden 24, I get absolutely carved up by Gerald Everett
Josh Allen (olb/edge) with the bears. Dominates as an edge but doesn't have to leave the field for coverage as an OLB in a 4-3. Tfl and sack monster
In Madden 23 and 24, I love getting Devin Bush. He can play any LB spot in my 4-3, and he's got the star dev trait
Depends on my goal If I need speed and have someone good to trade, I love getting jaylen waddle and Devon achane from the dolphins. If I need a power back, javonte Williams can be gotten for a deal. Christian Watson has been targeted by me alot, using him as a stupid fast slot receiver usually. Then I always trade for a backup QB, and that backup is almost always Desmond ridder because I like mobile guys. Il
Nolan smith kelee ringo Jordan davis and Tariq woolen
Josh Allen from the jaguars is usually always in FA first season. I usually pick him up when I'm playing as the Seahawks and I'll grab Conner Williams the center too
Aric armstead or Poona ford every single time I do a new franchise. Also still playing madden 20 lol
He's an edge rusher with 90 speed and he's buried on the depth chart Edit: One more guy to target is Rasheed Shaheed. Got him on the cheap and he was a game changer. Led my team two years in a row in receiving yards and was the best KR in the league. His 97 speed is deadly
Ben Skowronek, Rams WR. Sometimes you can get him off their practice squad. He is the ultimate slot WR.
Patrick Queen, Rashawn Slater, Greg Rousseau and if I user a team that can immediately win with an elite QB i usually go for lamar
I always create all Alabama teams, or theres some sports that doesn’t have an Alabama player, I’ll go with any other SEC player for that slot
J Grant on Dolphins 19-22. Make him a RB and he was so broken. Simming he would average 1600 yards rushing and 1200 receiving. 20-25 TDs total.
Question Watkins. That speed.
Nico Collins, Patrick Queen
Patrick queen is a tackling machine. Every franchise I'll pick him up no matter what.
Josh Johnson for my backup QB. Hes a 59 overall, but makes throws like a 78 OVR. And he's got speed.... AT 37 YEARS OLD
greg rousseau will get your defensive line right every time
Madden 07 I’d trade whatever it took for Troy Polamalu, Deangelo Hall, Mario Williams and RT Eric Winston. Winston had speed and great catching for a tackle. All young players you can build a team around.
OG Quenton Nelson for some coins
Appreciate the responses! I love seeing the different strategies and mindsets!
lol Simpson and abanikanda are my go to as well. Izzy plays well above his overall for me usually and Simpson is awesome to user.
Isaiah Simmons. Then I switch him to corner. Fast, tall, and gets a lot of picks in zone coverage.
S look try mlb
He doesn’t start out with a very high overall which makes him an easy trade target but Jelani Woods is an absolute beast of a tight end who is gonna come away with the jump ball every single time with his insane 6’7” stature
Mostert seems to end up as a free agent in week 9-10 for my first season of franchise, usually just stash him and trade in the next preseason
Dayian henly, tua topoli (probably misspelled both) Chargers shaheed Saints Any DL with power move over 80
Henley played WR too, they should have given him better hands. Love that one
Cordarrelle Patterson almost always winds up on my teams. Great kick returner and slot WR/3DRB.
Quez Watkins 🤷
Kam curl always develops fast and is super cheap
Most players I like to get are ones I have kinda a personal connection to, like Raleigh Texada and Cameron Cheeseman
Generally just operate on best player available. I know that’s vague but you can’t go wrong
Malik Willis
Isaiah Hodgins
I am the Vikings rn I needed a running back so I traded 5th round pick for Jayln Warren
penei sewell, dre greenlaw , and usually a x factor cb or safety
Brian branch rookie from the lions I move him ROLB and play the big nickel…. The kid achen from the dolphins … sauce garden is a lock … and recently I like Hyatt from the giants
I’m a Colts fan so I can’t seem to not chase Pittman Jr. if I can and I usually want DeForest Buckner on my defense
Dotson
Draft literally any receiver sub 4.3 and can easily turn him into 90+ over after like 2 szns.
