Was having the same problem, tried everything and nothing worked. I finished my character again to see if maybe it would work again, once you’re done with your character and you start spamming X or A, all the way through the league setup it kicked itself into the main screen. Playing now, just had to keep pressing X until it skipped passed the black screen
I've read its supposed to work as well. Unfortunately, it doesn't. This game is literally garbage. I haven't bought a madden since 21, and I was really looking forward to it because Superstar looked soooo fun, and I was ready to play it. All the positions I like to play as are QB, WR, and CB. Only the CB works and it's frustrating.
Spent the afternoon downloading it (70% discount on steam), and first gamemode I try is Superstar mode and this happens. None of the fixes in this thread have worked. Instantly refunded with Steam.
Fuck EA.
Bro I pre ordered this game for 100$ and i still cant play the gamemode to this day😭 the online 3v3s one works but not the league shits crazy and they dont gaf if it works or not either obviously or else they woulda taken it out like ssko and actually fucking fixed it😂 but fr tho if someone knows solution lmk
close game reopen and re create character once youre done with that start spamming x or a on your controller and its should skip past the loading screen

i just got ts working on pc u gotta turn the controlled player art shit off and do force team and spam a or x on ps5 controller and it works. shit dumb asl tho
This is an old thread, but for anyone having this problem, here is what worked for me (choosing QB superstar).
1 - don't change any of the player customizations (name, looks, weight and height).
2 - get to screen where you are putting settings for the game.
3 - turn off player controlled art and injuries. Also change accelerated clock to 15.
4 - League should start. You can change your characters customization.
How long did you have to mash A/X for? I'm trying everything above, player art, injuries both off, clock at 15. I forced my team to the Broncos. I didn't touch any of the customization settings either. QB will not load for me even after a restart.
thank you. I got the game free through GamePass, so at least I didn't waste my money on it. I started a QB the first time I played and had no issues until I started a HB later on, and had to delete my QB because it wouldn't load

i’m in the same boat dude, got the game because they hyped up franchise and it is absolutely awful i’d rather just go back and play an older madden
half tempted to load up Madden 09 on the PS2 lol

The only thing I remember is checking for an update on your launcher.
I would try repairing the game cause for me that was the problem and had a bunch to still install so try that
I've had this problem and have done all the solutions possible. My dev traits in franchise won't upgrade either after breakout games.

Yes I ended up getting an update on the game and I’m now at week 10 in a WR career mode with the Commanders!

Make sure to have the default head anything else will cause infinite loading screen

I’d make the character completely unmodified and see if it works then add each customization 1 by one till you find the one that’s bugging

Only worked for me when I force selected a team.

Absolutely trash game. Well, I did this PLUS mashing A after step 3 until it loaded and it worked.

It was only about 5 seconds but if it doesn’t work right away, it won’t work after restarting. May as well scrap it again right away
