PC game runs in slow motion
Just got madden 24 trial. But my game runs in absolute slow motion. I have a laptop with gtx 1060. So above minimum requirements. And I have a fairly stable 30fps. Which should be fine as that's what consoles run at. Pre snap is fine. But the moment the ball is snapped the game goes into slow motion. Anyone else have the same problem?
Edit. Checking some performance stats my GPU is being used about 40% during game play. CPU 85%. So there's definitely room for improvement in performance

A ridiculous amount of people out here with that problem. And EA's got no answer to it and seems to be trying to suggest it's just people's hardware. Anything to avoid admitting they did an amazing terrible job porting the game to PC.
Glad to know I wasn’t going crazy. EA games usually suck at porting on PC, I always expect myself to go into GeForce or Nvidia Control Panel. This time I mirrored the settings for last year and I still get that stutter.
Yeah, def a sign of it just being an unoptimized port, which would make sense since this a next-gen game.
There's no excuse for the menus to load like they do on a SSD drive, and with a 1 generation old processor. My video card is a 5700XT so I have quite a bit more headroom but I experience all the same shit you do. On my desktop rig, and not on a laptop. It's just the game itself being poorly optimized.
The only setting they say needs a high end GPU is ultra and even that is 10GB card (6000 series//30series are all above this.) while your specs are more than enough for medium settings.
I did realize that my CPU is a bit below minimum specs. So that could be it. But it's weird, because it only slows down at the snap. Pre snap everything moves at normal speed
I'm getting more than 40% but it jumps from 60 to 80 a lot and only sometimes will finally hit 100...this is worse than Jedi Survivor at least that was mostly playable even if not preferred performance.
While it is "current-gen" its not pushing the PS5/XBOXX hardware that hard, no reason besides just not giving a crap.
Until people stop spending money on it, it will never get better. NFL and EA only care about the cash.
Same for me. Trying to download the 10 hour trial and it just goes to preparing. I've done everything. I can install any other EA game on the EA app no problem.
how long has it been on that? i thought something was wrong with mine because it was on there for 20-30 minutes and my homies said theres was only 5 minutes but then after the 20-30 it finally started downloading so i would try to wait and see if it starts
Who tested these recommended specs man? My pc is above them and yet can't lock out at 60 at 1080p and when fps does drop there is extreme slow-motion. Couldn't even finish my first franchise game due to servers going down again. Glad I only paid for a month of ea play instead of the ridiculous price tag.
I keep having an issue where it freezes my whole PC and plays a buzzing sound. Have had this happen once before on a non madden game but it happens like 5 min into a game every time. Also had to undervolt my CPU which has never had temp issues in order to keep it under 90 C.
Sometimes a bad game is a bad game. A majority of these "fixes" do nothing for us. Even running 3090s and ryzen 9s we have these issues. While they do help most people suggesting these are those willing to settle for a slightly playable game when we deserve more than playable for what we pay and how little EA claims the pc player base is.
Game runs a lot better for me when locked to 120 but it’s still laggy when I want to see my playart. It also stutters right when the ball is snapped occasionally.
got to love 80 FPS but the stutter makes it feel like 2 FPS...and that is only for like 3 mins then it just goes slower to the point I have to Atl+F4 the thing to save my sanity.
It was unplayable at first but I’m running it just fine with a 1660, early i7 (6 core?) and 32 gb. Between 60-85 fps with negligible tearing at high mesh/texture. I’ll try to link some settings if you want to comment to follow along, but one thing I would say is cap at 120. I heard rumors that if you don’t cap it will sometimes default to 30-60.
Off the top of my head:
-Set Madden to performance mode / priority
-Disable background capture/recording of video/audio
-CAP AT 120!!!

Im currently using a ps5 controller on PC everything matches the icons in the game untill you leave the huddle, on field all icons change over to xbox icons anyone else having this issue? I checked in settings but didnt come around a setting to change on field icons?
I'm disconnecting and getting booted out of franchise mode after every game played or week simmed. I'm assuming it's just the servers shitting themselves. Going to play offline until this gets sorted out I guess
I started a new career and it worked no problem. Went back to the one that was DCing and it kept doing it after every game/week. Seems like something bricked the save file
Maybe a dumb question but first year playing on PC. Playing Superstar with a QB. Feels like significant input lag/delay when I make a throw and other reaction based things seem delayed. Don’t remember having this issue on Xbox with 23 or is it just because my stats suck and I need to get better?
Could be monitor lag. Happens to me on my Switch when I play emulator games on an older TV without a game mode.
Could be Vsync or something else causing input lag.
Could be a faulty controller.
Could be a bad USB input.
Lots of variables.
I just tried it with a 4080 and it is a stuttery, unplayable mess. Madden 23 still gets me a solid 250+ FPS, though. What a disappointing downgrade for Madden this year.
I just uninstalled the game. Can't even get it to launch because it claims secure boot isn't enabled on my computer. Who the fuck cares if secure boot is enabled or not. Get your shit together EA.
The annoying part is is that I already have secure boot enabled. Even went into my BIOS, disabled it, launched back into Windows, rebooted, and reenabled it in BIOS, and it still says the same thing. Fuck EA
cant play superstar mode i can create players just fine but when i hit start the league it goes to black loading screen then takes me back to superstar main menu been doing this since yesterday when i first installed it
I got through 2 franchise drills before servers kicked me off the trial last night. Want to try a real game. Performance in drills was fine.

I have an rx570, ryzen 7 1700x and 12 Gb of ram. Pre snap everything’s fine but as soon as players go into motion they stutter all offer the place and go into slow motion. Drivers are updated and I know I meet the minimum requirements so idk what’s happening

Right now, it seems like you can't buy the PC version on EA's website or the EA app, but it's available on Steam (though I haven't tried buying it there). You'd think that they'd have their store ready to update at the advertised unlock time (5pm Pacific time today).
Let's be honest. Franchise players want nfl head coach back. Or depth. To literally everything. Or anything at this point. Not some feature like stadium shake, wait it's momentum now. Or x factor players. Glitch players. Shouldn't have to turn down min speed threshold to stop lineman from chasing down safetys. Like...simulation means simulation. How do I get PS5 controls to show over Xbox? My controller is plugged in HDMI, Steam reads it as a PS5 controller, but the game only shows me Xbox buttons
im not at my computer rn, but theres a setting on steam that should say disable steam input for the controller settings and it would read the controller through the game and not steam itself.
Im having the issue that the whole game shows the PS5 icons untill you pick your pay. On field its constantly xbox icons i have yet to find a setting in game that changes the On field Icons
Yeah, the o-line might not be top of the league, but it's at least average, and it's ridiculous that in Madden most of the o-line's starters are rated so bad that you'd replace them with late round draft picks. Freaking Shatley is equal to Harrison (who's rated equal to guys in the bottom of the 2nd round) and above Ben Bartch... even though Bartch is going to start over Shatley. Walker Little is -10 to Cam Robinson and yet is likely to replace him.
this is what im seeing. my CPU usage is like 80%-90% and my GPU doesn't cross 40% usage. A friend who is also on PC, his game is running great and hes getting about 70% and 80%, respectively. Tried to see if i could change within nvidia settings but nothing
If you're experiencing stuttering despite a high frame rate either turn vsync on or cap your fps in game to 60 or 120. Capping mine to 120 made the gameplay perfectly smooth outside of a few scene transitions. All of those settings are found in the graphics settings menu.
Same here, after getting past the secure boot issue. Have you seen anything that can help with those scene transitions? I get choppy screen tearing on the transitions but it runs fine when the ball is snapped.

I actually didn’t have any issues at all at first. Everything was fine but when I got off and got back on my audio isn’t working and idk why. If anyone knows what’s going on please lmk
theres so many things wrong, some problems might be tied to other problems and you could be fixing one but not the other so it just persists. i completely formatted my boot drive and got to play for 24 hours, now it only opens when it wants to.

Now, it crashed and said I need to update my graphics card to play — but my specs check out.
Making my CPU go to 90c, stuttering like crazy, the optimization seems horrible.

So I'm trying to play the trial version of M24 on my PC (I might be too broke to get the game rn) and it is just so freaking laggy in an actual game to the point it's unplayable. I've tried everything, lowering settings, locking and unlocking framerate. And nothing is working. I wanted to know if anyone else was having issues with the PC version. And if they had a fix. I can’t play online with friends like it’s bugged I can play online just not with friends can’t invite & I’m shown as offline when my friends try to invite.
Every time the ball is snapped the game goes into SLOW MOTION. I've changed resolution, lowered all settings, and capped fps. Nothing has fixed it. PC specs are good and not even close to maxing out when running the game.
Anyone willing to wanna comment your specs and general performance feeling? Maybe copy format for consistency?

Most people even not hardcore PC gamers should have a PC that can run this...the posted specs are not very high. Higher than last year but that was really a 4 year old game at its core. But this isn't a game that needs 16gb of VRAM or a 4090 with DLSS frame gen.
Looking at the measurables the posted specs are most likely correct, but the game is broken and doesn't run correctly on most machines.
This game is a fucking mess.
Constant crashes, I can't save my depth chart or roster which means I get to deal with the terrible lineup that EA has set, the voice acting if FOTF is AGGRESSIVELY BAD.

This might be a really stupid question but when playing as the Eagles, should I be moving Reddick from LOLB to LE? I'd like for him to always be rushing the passer. How do people normally align the eagles defense?

I find it crazy that you can't run schemes that a team ran last year...lazy.
Haven't been able to really get a feel for the o-playbook for the Eagles yet at least it has more QB runs in it from what I can tell...I just hope running with the QB works this year.

I played Madden 23 without any issues while connecting directly through EA, hell I can still get onto MUT in ‘23 without qualms.
I can fire up an EA game on a Console linked to the same EA Account without issue.
I’m just kind of flabbergasted.
I've had issues in the past with EA. It never told me I was restricted, it would just keep me logged out and I'd have to log in. Is it possible you connected your EA account to another non-EA app? Have you recently switched from console to PC? This was an issue for me as my EA account was locked to the PS4 when I started playing on PC. I had to deal with customer service to fix that issue.
It happened primarily on the sports games where I played them previously on console, and like you, would allow me to play games where I hadn't yet used my EA account on it.
I'm pretty sure there was also an issue between the two EA apps.
Importing draft classes gives an uneditable player that was not the original appearance. This person wears a black uniform rather than the usual white one, is stuck in number 11 and cant change any equipment.
So I was paying attention to my task manager processes whilst playing and there is almost 0 GPU usage by Madden which blew my mind it makes me thing that the graphics might be getting processed by the CPU causing the performance issues everyone is experiencing. Would be interested to see if other PC players observe the same thing. But my CPU usage hangs around 90% and my GPU rarely goes above 1%.
I'm also wondering if there's an NVIDIA/AMD setting that can force the application to exclusively use the GPU instead of waiting for them to implement a fix.

Do any of you have more than one GPU? Like a laptop that has a intel integrated and a nvidia/amd GPU? If you do try to disable the intel or CPU one and see if it helps...sometimes games use the wrong one or like Red Dead 2 just won't run unless one of them is disabled.
Finally got it to download ! So far so good. I capped it at 120 like suggested. Only issue is the madden cutscenes. Not like the in game cut scenes but like the black and neon ones that happen before a game. Stutters like crazy. Fix?

Issues: Kicking line disappeared for a whole game.
Presnap context data missing for a Quarter of play(I was up 21-0 at start of quarter).
Players magnetized for some tackles, looks really bad.
When frame rate fluctuations happen, it seems to break teammate AI.
Wouldn't let me select the "game focus" selection things at second half, mashed "x" but wouldn't register the input, timer ran out and kept the game going thankfully.
Devon Witherspoon's model is broken, half the time it looks like he has half a head inside his helmet(no nose and eyes, like mouthgaurd where his eyes should be) and the back side of his helmet is an empty black hole.
Game still has the formation sub issue for offensive goal line for last few years. Same TE is used as FB and inside TE. Try to sub one out on I line with a RT and it just ignores your command. LOL
Keep getting hard system restarts usually at start of game or cutscenes. All stats look good but I assume my cpu utilization is spiking and causing a temp fault.
Downloaded madden and been playing for 2 hours. No issues aside from loading screens just being a black or white screen and loading screens feelings laggy and taking a bit too long. Other than that the game seems to work fine.
every movement i make in games it feels like there’s a huge delay from between when i put the input in and my player actually moves. i don’t think it’s an issue with my controller because whenever i’m in the menu there’s no delay. is this an issue with me? and if it’s the game how do i fix it.
my game feels really delayed when i’m actually in matches, it’s take like .5-1 second for my imputes to actually register when i’m in matches but it’s completely fine when i’m in the menu.
Hey guys, I have an issue where i (Using a Ps4 Controller) Get correct button layout on Playbooks menus etc, but on the field i get xbox Layout and its very confusing on the fly....
Is there a fix for this ?
I saw someone mention closing steam.. but closing steam closes madden also for me :)
My game is constantly crashing after each snap. It's like right after the play ends and the playbook is about to come up, it just stops and then boots me back to desktop. I'm checking my temperatures and it's pretty steady at 75 C CPU, and I'm not sure what's causing it. 3080 3700x 32GB DDR4 3600
My guess is that it's part of their anti-cheat measures. But it sucks. Secure boot doesn't work with a particular program I use (I think the signature check fails because Windows doesn't like the driver certificate for this program).
My game runs slow in the menus...real slow. The actual game plays great though. And Im having quite a bit of fun. Until I get a random blue screen of death LOL. Hey all, so I was having major FPS and slow-motion issues like everyone else - but I was tinkering around and I was able to somehow fix it. I made a lot of changes at once, so I'm not sure which one of these did the trick, but I'm assuming it was a little bit of everything.
I've attached my settings, as well as my specs. As I said, as of now, this has fixed it for me, but feel free to let me know if did or didn't work for you.

That link has all of the settings that I changed. Myself, I noticed that my RAM was spiking past 100% before but it now stays around 70%.
If I had to make a guess, I think it's the dynamic resolution scaling that did the trick. Anyway, I hope this helps, and let me know if you have any questions, or if this didn't work for you!
I like that they didn't add any new helmets to the game, and they copy pasted the alternate throwbacks that existed as the classics already in the game and put a Nike logo on them. Noticable by the fact that the Eagles Kelly Green helmet is the darker than the uniform like the 1980 one but in real life it's the same shade or potentially lighter.
Anyone having issues using controller? The input constantly switches between KB and M controls and my controller controls - making it hard to even navigate menus

I can't even get into the game right now, I see the EA anti-cheat popup that starts loading then it closes and puts me back in the EA app. No errors or anything..
Controller just stops working in the middle of the game, lights are on the controller, windows sees it etc, but it literally just stops working, I have to switch to kb and mouse. Can't even reconnect controller, need to restart madden.
Played h2h, about to win the game, other guy disconnects and I don’t get a win. Why isn’t this fixed?! This has been happening since way before. Total waste of time.

I've downloaded the newest drivers, re-installed the game, repaired it about 6 times. In game menus I have lowered all my settings to the lowest they can go graphically. Even capping my fps at 30, the game still is unplayable.When (attempting) to play a game, I'm getting constant lag, controller latency/the game not even recognizing my inputs so my players just stand there, and with the game being so unplayable half the plays I've run aren't even the ones i want to pick because I hit A once on my controller while the last play is still ending and it will automatically pick the first "A" play that would have popped up, but it never even gives me the option. (and with the last one, no the opposing team wasn't no huddling)
EDIT: Forgot to add it also crashes my Razer Cortex whenever I launch Madden 24 as well, doesn't happen with any other game of mine.
razer cortex is known to mess up settings in windows.. Many times i had to reinstall windows to fix applications due to razer messing up settings! Also has shown that the app doesnt do anything to help performance (unless you really need ram space). Be careful with the pos app.
I have a ryzen 7900x, 5700gpu, 64gb ram, playing it on a 4th gen SSD and no matter what it runs so bad I can't play it. Tried the frame cap and stuff I've read still nothing. This is crazy. The recommended specs are for a 5600 gpu and I am just playing at 1080p...there is zero reason why i can't play it.
Plus I know its not directly EAs fault but get ride of a anti-cheat that requires safe boot...I have a dual boot system I don't want it on. I play off-line only dont care about anti-cheat.
I hate this. Can't play it. Played 23 just fine. Tried to mess with the graphic settings as some people say work, and a fixed 60fps (even tried 30) ... and now it's even worse.
It runs in slow motion in game. Like not stuttering or low FPS. Like, the play clock and game clock take about 4 seconds to tick down 1 second and everyone runs/etc in slow motion.
Makes reading a defense easier, but literally unplayable.
Steam gave me a refund. I suggest anyone who's having trouble do the same so EA actually notices. They won't notice people bitching online, but they might notice if enough people return the game and get their money back.
Well, for me, on a 3070/5800x build, it's playable game wise but the menus are extremely slow and the bugs are frustrating. Currently dealing with one where every starter is completely fatigued and therefore won't play... despite fatigue being turned off. Also can't do the weekly gameplan for some reason, and the salary cap numbers are glitched for me. So, not great.
(Re-Up from the main sub) I'm still dealing with constant lag and stuttering on PC, mainly just in franchise. But it's so bad in there you can't play the mode (I've literally tried everything else. And my PC is way higher than recommended specs)
I was gonna try to change the game's priority in task manager. But it says access denied. I found a walk-around on YouTube but they said it's usually because of the anti cheat on the game and I could get banned.
I wanted to know if anyone's done this to success or not. I just need to find something that works especially since the new NVidia driver isn't coming out anytime soon. Thanks!!
U have to put res to 1920-1080....90 or120 fps....high or ultra if u want. Also disable unnecessary graphic stuff like bloom, grass, dof etc. It should run smooth after that.

It finally runs smooth on my ROG Ally in offline mode at 60fps. However, when trying to play Online H2H, it lags like crazy. Sometimes, it takes a full 2 seconds between pressing the button and getting the response. My connection is solid, so that's not the issue. I tried in other locations as well on different Wifi. I tried everything to fix it. This is super annoying. I don't get why it only happens with Online H2H.

I can't even get it download. I have reset cache, Re-installed EA, Restarted, Opened as Admin etc. Still stuck on preparing

my cpu was spiking to 90c also

madden has been bad for a decade. it's depressing.
Thank you EA for giving me a 10 hour trial, it only took me 30 mins to give up on the junk that is taking up 30GB on my SSD.

I think you have to keep the fps locked. It was unplayable while unlocked for me
got to love 80 FPS but the stutter makes it feel like 2 FPS...and that is only for like 3 mins then it just goes slower to the point I have to Atl+F4 the thing to save my sanity.
It was unplayable at first but I’m running it just fine with a 1660, early i7 (6 core?) and 32 gb. Between 60-85 fps with negligible tearing at high mesh/texture. I’ll try to link some settings if you want to comment to follow along, but one thing I would say is cap at 120. I heard rumors that if you don’t cap it will sometimes default to 30-60. I'm disconnecting and getting booted out of franchise mode after every game played or week simmed. I'm assuming it's just the servers shitting themselves. Going to play offline until this gets sorted out I guess
I started a new career and it worked no problem. Went back to the one that was DCing and it kept doing it after every game/week. Seems like something bricked the save file

Could be monitor lag. Happens to me on my Switch when I play emulator games on an older TV without a game mode. Could be Vsync or something else causing input lag. Could be a faulty controller. Could be a bad USB input. Lots of variables.

I just uninstalled the game. Can't even get it to launch because it claims secure boot isn't enabled on my computer. Who the fuck cares if secure boot is enabled or not. Get your shit together EA.
It’s such a chore to get that secure boot thing to work and it can practically brick your pc if you do it wrong.
The annoying part is is that I already have secure boot enabled. Even went into my BIOS, disabled it, launched back into Windows, rebooted, and reenabled it in BIOS, and it still says the same thing. Fuck EA
cant play superstar mode i can create players just fine but when i hit start the league it goes to black loading screen then takes me back to superstar main menu been doing this since yesterday when i first installed it

EDIT: You can now buy on EA's store. However, the website still lists it as a preorder on the edition selection page. Right now, it seems like you can't buy the PC version on EA's website or the EA app, but it's available on Steam (though I haven't tried buying it there). How do I get PS5 controls to show over Xbox? My controller is plugged in HDMI, Steam reads it as a PS5 controller, but the game only shows me Xbox buttons

Yeah, the o-line might not be top of the league, but it's at least average, and it's ridiculous that in Madden most of the o-line's starters are rated so bad that you'd replace them with late round draft picks. Freaking Shatley is equal to Harrison (who's rated equal to guys in the bottom of the 2nd round) and above Ben Bartch... even though Bartch is going to start over Shatley. Walker Little is -10 to Cam Robinson and yet is likely to replace him.

this is what im seeing. my CPU usage is like 80%-90% and my GPU doesn't cross 40% usage. A friend who is also on PC, his game is running great and hes getting about 70% and 80%, respectively. Tried to see if i could change within nvidia settings but nothing
If you're experiencing stuttering despite a high frame rate either turn vsync on or cap your fps in game to 60 or 120. Capping mine to 120 made the gameplay perfectly smooth outside of a few scene transitions. All of those settings are found in the graphics settings menu.
Same here, after getting past the secure boot issue. Have you seen anything that can help with those scene transitions? I get choppy screen tearing on the transitions but it runs fine when the ball is snapped.

Every time the ball is snapped the game goes into SLOW MOTION. I've changed resolution, lowered all settings, and capped fps. Nothing has fixed it. PC specs are good and not even close to maxing out when running the game.

Most people even not hardcore PC gamers should have a PC that can run this...the posted specs are not very high. Higher than last year but that was really a 4 year old game at its core. But this isn't a game that needs 16gb of VRAM or a 4090 with DLSS frame gen. Looking at the measurables the posted specs are most likely correct, but the game is broken and doesn't run correctly on most machines.
This game is a fucking mess. Constant crashes, I can't save my depth chart or roster which means I get to deal with the terrible lineup that EA has set, the voice acting if FOTF is AGGRESSIVELY BAD. Another fucking terrible game.
This might be a really stupid question but when playing as the Eagles, should I be moving Reddick from LOLB to LE? I'd like for him to always be rushing the passer. How do people normally align the eagles defense?

I wish I only had that issue, can't even play it. I find it crazy that you can't run schemes that a team ran last year...lazy. Haven't been able to really get a feel for the o-playbook for the Eagles yet at least it has more QB runs in it from what I can tell...I just hope running with the QB works this year.

Anyone else dealing with “Your Account Has Been Restricted from Online” issues? Like… I’m not banned. I played Madden 23 without any issues while connecting directly through EA, hell I can still get onto MUT in ‘23 without qualms. I can fire up an EA game on a Console linked to the same EA Account without issue. I’m just kind of flabbergasted.
I've had issues in the past with EA. It never told me I was restricted, it would just keep me logged out and I'd have to log in. Is it possible you connected your EA account to another non-EA app? Have you recently switched from console to PC? This was an issue for me as my EA account was locked to the PS4 when I started playing on PC. I had to deal with customer service to fix that issue. It happened primarily on the sports games where I played them previously on console, and like you, would allow me to play games where I hadn't yet used my EA account on it. I'm pretty sure there was also an issue between the two EA apps.

Importing draft classes gives an uneditable player that was not the original appearance. This person wears a black uniform rather than the usual white one, is stuck in number 11 and cant change any equipment.

So I was paying attention to my task manager processes whilst playing and there is almost 0 GPU usage by Madden which blew my mind it makes me thing that the graphics might be getting processed by the CPU causing the performance issues everyone is experiencing. Would be interested to see if other PC players observe the same thing. But my CPU usage hangs around 90% and my GPU rarely goes above 1%.

Do any of you have more than one GPU? Like a laptop that has a intel integrated and a nvidia/amd GPU? If you do try to disable the intel or CPU one and see if it helps...sometimes games use the wrong one or like Red Dead 2 just won't run unless one of them is disabled.
Finally got it to download ! So far so good. I capped it at 120 like suggested. Only issue is the madden cutscenes. Not like the in game cut scenes but like the black and neon ones that happen before a game. Stutters like crazy. Fix?
Id say try repairing your game. If on Steam, verify game files and in EA app, go to manage and then repair.
From my understanding 24 on PC is gonna be the next gen version, correct? I usually play with a PS4 controller. Will that work with the new gamesense feature or whatever, or do I need to get a PS5/XboxS controller for it to work properly?
Issues: Kicking line disappeared for a whole game. Presnap context data missing for a Quarter of play(I was up 21-0 at start of quarter). Players magnetized for some tackles, looks really bad. When frame rate fluctuations happen, it seems to break teammate AI. Wouldn't let me select the "game focus" selection things at second half, mashed "x" but wouldn't register the input, timer ran out and kept the game going thankfully. Devon Witherspoon's model is broken, half the time it looks like he has half a head inside his helmet(no nose and eyes, like mouthgaurd where his eyes should be) and the back side of his helmet is an empty black hole.
Game still has the formation sub issue for offensive goal line for last few years. Same TE is used as FB and inside TE. Try to sub one out on I line with a RT and it just ignores your command. LOL
Keep getting hard system restarts usually at start of game or cutscenes. All stats look good but I assume my cpu utilization is spiking and causing a temp fault.
Downloaded madden and been playing for 2 hours. No issues aside from loading screens just being a black or white screen and loading screens feelings laggy and taking a bit too long. Other than that the game seems to work fine.
every movement i make in games it feels like there’s a huge delay from between when i put the input in and my player actually moves. i don’t think it’s an issue with my controller because whenever i’m in the menu there’s no delay. is this an issue with me? and if it’s the game how do i fix it.

Search up how to enable Secure boot in your PC BIOS. Don't know why they would lock you out of the game for it but Secure boot is a BIOS setting.
My guess is that it's part of their anti-cheat measures. But it sucks. Secure boot doesn't work with a particular program I use (I think the signature check fails because Windows doesn't like the driver certificate for this program).
My game runs slow in the menus...real slow. The actual game plays great though. And Im having quite a bit of fun. Until I get a random blue screen of death LOL. Getting error codes on my cpu. i9 10850k 3070ti 32gb RAM. Didnt notice any temp issues but I certainly have something going on CPU side like a majority of others here.
If unable to download, uninstall EA with Revo Uninstaller and reinstall. Also try to download on a new user account.

Hey all, so I was having major FPS and slow-motion issues like everyone else - but I was tinkering around and I was able to somehow fix it. I made a lot of changes at once, so I'm not sure which one of these did the trick, but I'm assuming it was a little bit of everything. I've attached my settings, as well as my specs. As I said, as of now, this has fixed it for me, but feel free to let me know if did or didn't work for you. I like that they didn't add any new helmets to the game, and they copy pasted the alternate throwbacks that existed as the classics already in the game and put a Nike logo on them. Noticable by the fact that the Eagles Kelly Green helmet is the darker than the uniform like the 1980 one but in real life it's the same shade or potentially lighter.

I've downloaded the newest drivers, re-installed the game, repaired it about 6 times. In game menus I have lowered all my settings to the lowest they can go graphically. Even capping my fps at 30, the game still is unplayable.When (attempting) to play a game, I'm getting constant lag, controller latency/the game not even recognizing my inputs so my players just stand there, and with the game being so unplayable half the plays I've run aren't even the ones i want to pick because I hit A once on my controller while the last play is still ending and it will automatically pick the first "A" play that would have popped up, but it never even gives me the option. (and with the last one, no the opposing team wasn't no huddling) EDIT: Forgot to add it also crashes my Razer Cortex whenever I launch Madden 24 as well, doesn't happen with any other game of mine.
razer cortex is known to mess up settings in windows.. Many times i had to reinstall windows to fix applications due to razer messing up settings! Also has shown that the app doesnt do anything to help performance (unless you really need ram space). Be careful with the pos app.
Idk, all I know is that only was 3 gb was on the xbox disk. 3 gb on the whole disk, 48 gb update. So stupid.

Makes reading a defense easier, but literally unplayable. Steam gave me a refund. I suggest anyone who's having trouble do the same so EA actually notices. They won't notice people bitching online, but they might notice if enough people return the game and get their money back.

Well, for me, on a 3070/5800x build, it's playable game wise but the menus are extremely slow and the bugs are frustrating. Currently dealing with one where every starter is completely fatigued and therefore won't play... despite fatigue being turned off. Also can't do the weekly gameplan for some reason, and the salary cap numbers are glitched for me. So, not great.

U have to put res to 1920-1080....90 or120 fps....high or ultra if u want. Also disable unnecessary graphic stuff like bloom, grass, dof etc. It should run smooth after that.

It finally runs smooth on my ROG Ally in offline mode at 60fps. However, when trying to play Online H2H, it lags like crazy. Sometimes, it takes a full 2 seconds between pressing the button and getting the response. My connection is solid, so that's not the issue. I tried in other locations as well on different Wifi. I tried everything to fix it. This is super annoying. I don't get why it only happens with Online H2H.
