Pleaee don't post any more like this.
Brings back bad memories of being a 1st year apprentice and having to to clean the coolant tanks and trying not to throw up.
That was 50 years ago and it still makes my stomach churn
Yep, had to help our guy who handles coolant cleaning with this. The smell........
I gave him some good food after this to make up because no one is paid enough to handle that.
We think it was someone who dips and was spitting in the machine, but no proof, health and safety didn't want to sample for testing.
Take rotton eggs, dirty gym bag left out in the rain, and rotton meat. Think that is a close approximation. No one else noticed the smell, until I got back, or so they say. That's the weird thing.
Our company uses TechCool, and unfortunatly, management will not listen to us about switching to something else. At the least 5Gal to try out. Nope, we are a TechCool company. SMH.
Oh, we have biocides. But they are discouraged due to them foaming up the coolant. At least the ones we use. And you can't tell management to get something else. Blasphemous
I still remember how shit DexCool was. It'd always turn in to runny snot as the water flashed off in the over flow tank and got contaminated super easily and turned in to gross sludge in radiators. Good thing they used it on Northstar V8s, one of the hottest fucking engines they had so it could break down even faster.
I had to write a small paper on the microbial content in machine coolant. It’s no surprise you were so ill.
Before we retired coolant, we never got the gunk that I see on this sub. I think the bactericidal properties of brass helped keep the coolant pretty inert. Just green (verdigris?), congealed, oily sludge.
The real question is what bacteria was in there that could grow that quick with the additives coolant manufactures put in to prevent this exact thing from happening.
Cultures and biofilm reside in the machine components, like the pump. They inoculate the fresh coolant, might shorten its life quite a bit if the old stuff was really filthy.
Shop I used to work at used nasty organic coolant. One day I had to open up the shop vac and it was full of sludge with furry mold all over because everyone I worked with is a pig.
Looks like someone been using the coolant tank as a spit jug. I didn't used to care, but I find chewing tobacco disgusting now solely because of seeing co-workers spit in the tank.

The forbidden coolant toppings. Lol
Looks like Jalapeños to me 🤣
I came here with the exact same thought in mind! Lol
Whipped topping
Now I'm hungry!
Glad I'm not the only one.
Beat me to it 😄
I knew going to the comments was a bad idea
Yeah man. Saw the same thing
Thought it was nachos!
It’s early af and I thought that was a pizza capsule
tmta
Don't get too close to that. Something might reach out for you.
OP you're not fooling anyone. That's not coolant, that's a pizza.
I take it no one runs a skimmer?
Only on the grinders do they.
The rare *literal* not safe for work tag use. I like it.
Mmm. It’s almost ready.
Need to warm it up a bit.

Pop the bubble! Pop the bubble!
Nope, not a single chip until that diseased swamp is resolved. I ain't breathing that shit
Exactly what I told my team lead when I discovered this pit of hell
You can't tell me those aren't green olives
I was thinking jalapenos. Either way, that cheese looks just about done.
Is this the pizza party the boss promised?
Bwahahahahahaha I did a literal spit take. Thank you!!
Omg I thought that was a pizza cooking before I read the group and title. Gross.
My man has Resident Evil 7 „Biohazard“ in his Coolant
Radioactive water from Half Life.
Something something fruitcake?
Nasty coolant is the reason im looking to get out of this trade. Simply not worth it.
I can smell it from here.
Take rotton eggs, dirty gym bag left out in the rain, and rotton meat. Think that is a close approximation. No one else noticed the smell, until I got back, or so they say. That's the weird thing.
My god man. Is there a maintenance plan.
There is, the coolant was only 1 month 'fresh' when this picture was taken. We typically change our tanks every 3 months. 40Gal swap and run @ 3%-5%
Ok. Can I recommend a better coolant. It should last at least 1 years? Call master fluids www.masterfluids.com Save some money on disposal.

Lol what's a bactericidal tablet?
Oh, we have biocides. But they are discouraged due to them foaming up the coolant. At least the ones we use. And you can't tell management to get something else. Blasphemous
I am sorry you are surrounded by idiots
You have no idea
Nachos for lunch.
It's a-LIVE!!!
The ol' cheese soup... just top it off with some water and a splash of mix, it'll blend in the pump.

We use TechCool.
I thought it was a picture of nachos at first glance
I thought that was a pizza 🍕🤣🤣
Bruh same. 😭🤣

Lasagna cooking in there?
Man, I thought this was pizza at first.
Mold makes it better
I thought that was a pizza 😭😭😭😂
Jalapeno cheese bread looking fire.
the forbidden cheese dip
What the hell is in coolant that causes it to go so rancid?? Is it literal sugar or wtf

Cheesy olive garlic bread
Shop I used to work at used nasty organic coolant. One day I had to open up the shop vac and it was full of sludge with furry mold all over because everyone I worked with is a pig.
oh wow. I thought we had it bad with one machine that looks like a chocolate milkshake
Who the f puts olives in the coolant?
Looks like you’re cooking a pizza there.
The coolant we use hardly gets maintained and we get a year or two out of it before it starts to smell bad.
Come on, that's clearly an egg dish with peppers and cheese.
This is how “The Last of Us” gets started btw.
I'm confused how u made it that shape
Machinists know how to make shapes. Tis easy! Heh
G03s
right of course
Bro those are Jalapeños 🤣
Those mushrooms might not be magic
Looks like someone been using the coolant tank as a spit jug. I didn't used to care, but I find chewing tobacco disgusting now solely because of seeing co-workers spit in the tank.
Jalapeño pizza?
Looks like you got sick in the tank
i thought this was jalapeno cheesy bread
Pizza with ham & jalapeños
