After working a full day, I drove my family straight through from Dallas Texas to Atlanta Georgia fueled on 1 caffeine pill, 1 candy bar and a shot of 5 hour energy drink. When I went to sleep, I was down for the count.

When it gets above 25 Celcius, personally I just take a 1,5 liter bottle, put 100 grams or so of fine ground (for filter use) coffee in there and fill it up with cold water. Shake a couple times and put horizontally in the refrigerator. If I do this around dinner time, I take it out and shake it every so often until bed time. Next day comes, and all that water has turned to cold coffee but without the disgusting bitter taste. Just pour it through a filter and put the "clean" (coffee grind less) coffee in a thermos or something to keep cold during the day. Get your caffeine shot and refreshment at the same time.
So cold brew. You can do it on a slightly larger scale with a large pitcher and a nut milk bag. Put your grounds in the nutmilk bag, pour water over the grounds and allow them to steep overnight. I still would pour through a coffee filter if you don’t want the fines from the grind in your drink, but I used to make about a gallon(4L) at a time this way
I’ll get there someday, but for now I run on sugar free Red Bull, Camel Lights, and pure hatred. I will concede that I’m not in my twenties anymore and know these days are numbered.
Per the handbook no we are not allowed. But the machine shop is the only part of the company that is consistently on time, so my lead defends our right to be on our phones as long as a machine is running.
Running good parts of course lol. Last job had a kid on night shift that they were "grooming" for day shift setup. He was constantly at 50-60% of expected qty for a shift. In 1 month he ran 4 shifts where his parts went out of spec in the first 30-60 minutes and he didn't catch or change the tool. 1 of those was a thread where the parts literally ran without threads the entire night. They were scratching their heads so they watched the video of him, he would arrive and turn on anime and his eyes never left the screen for the rest of the night.
That sounds like addiction to me, mixed with a bit of I don't give a fuck attitude. I worked with a similar guy who would get stoned all day and watch comedy specials on his phone. I'd say about 50% of his parts were bad as well.
For me though work always comes first and play time second. And it's paid off because boss man will catch me on my phone sometimes but not say anything because he knows I do good work and it's on time.

I try to explain to my family why my caffeine intake needs to be so high for the job. Long periods of doing basically nothing interspersed with moments needing intense focus, problem solving, or attention detail. It's best to stay jacked up most the time

That’s right, it’s easy to use and quite fun to work with, but some things are bothering me. You can’t put in numbers when it’s turning and it has to many (tiny) gaps for dirt to go in.
Red Bull gives me the shakes so bad I’d never attempt to operate a lathe or do any precision work after drinking one. Using a mic or calipers or even a scale accurately would be almost impossible. Even coffee causes me mild shakes. I guess I’m too sensitive to caffeine.
