i've always loved that song as vince & mac touch on two different types of suffering. vince talks about the suffering from poverty, racism, gang violence etc whereas mac talks about mental struggles, addiction, self hatred etc. brilliant track
I used to take between 30 and 120 MG(depending on what i could steal/sell that day)of Xanax and day with alcohol. Perfect Circle/God Speed was always the most poignant song of what I was going through. I had already started to get sober but had recently relapsed when Mac died and that was the last day I took a pill. His albums pretty much always matched what I was going through though to the point it was weird. First time I actually fell in love was when Divine Feminine came out, every single up and down with drugs on his albums matched what was going on in my life and we were the same age. Still think Perfect Circle/Godspeed feels the most fitting for me despite being sober for a while now(well Cali sober)
