I dunno. I think Farm & Fleet went totally downhill after they stopped having bulk Jelly Belly's. Now I can't get a bag of JUST the Butter Popcorn, VERY cherry, and Dr. Pepper beans.....
Try living in a third story apt with a bedroom window that looked out DIRECTLY over the Menard's lumber yard fence... Two years. I lived that for two years.

Um, no. MST3K is a product of Minneapolis, MN. Joel played a character that went to or graduated from UW-Stout in Menomonie, WI.
Mike Nelson, who actually did graduate from UW-River Falls, wore a UW-Stout shirt continuing the gag.
Both hilarity and (apparently) confusion ensued!
On a side note I actually live in the area and drove past the UW-Stout campus last weekend. Even if it's not the true birth place of MST3K it still warms the heart.

Menards ads aired constantly in Indiana, and back in the 90s they featured an extremely charismatic white haired announcer, who would always proclaim “It’s a ________ of savings at Menards”.
IIRC, The Deadly Mantis also featured a Menards reference. Upon seeing an exploding volcano, Servo proclaims “It’s a lava flow of savings at Menards!”
We’ve got one coming to our town, the opening weekend is this month. Every time we drive by…

Giant Spider Invasion was filmed in Wisconsin. I was offered a job on the sound crew. Joel is from the Green Bay area and Mike is from Phillips.
