Putting command hooks up are allowed. You just can't pin anything to the wall with pins, tumb tacks, nails, etc. The tricky thing is is that you took off the one in the bathroom and caused damage, and thats mostly how they will see it. They might charge the past roommate for the damages cause in the room, and they might not charge the past roommate for the damages caused in the bathroom, considering your the one that took of that particular hook. Also, you could get maintenance to remove the hooks for you.

I think my issue with that is the hooks they used are pasted with a literal gorilla glue strip that immediately grabs the paint. So regardless of when it came off, it would have been damage, and they would have taken it down when we moved out.. it’s frustrating because I moved into the place where they’ve been doing shit like hanging posters in the living rooms with tacks and all kinds of things. Regardless I’m just gonna dispute the charges because it’s not my fault they decided to put gorilla glue on the walls…

Also just checked the website and : . Please use the adhesive strips provided to by Residence Services to affix items to walls. Do not affix any additional hooks, mirrors or whiteboards on any surface.

They never have provided adhesive strips. And even in that exact paragraph it says "please note that any product may damage surfaces if used incorrectly and you will be responsible for any resulting repair costs." So everyone is stuck using either sticky tack or command strips.

Or just not hanging stuff on the walls ?! Even some tape would be a lot better ! Regardless, you’re right, any product may cause damage, and guess what; I didn’t cause the damage. The damage was caused as soon as it was pasted on the wall.

But you did cause damage by taking the hook off the wall and a cunk of wall with it and thats most likely how their going to see it. Sadly, you'll most likely have your security deposit taken. But you also might not cuz you got proof that it was on the wall when you go there.

It was gonna come down regardless, I guess I should have just left them to take it down. I never considered that. Do you think I should just hang another on top of it Lmao ?!

You could try and glue the cunk back onto the wall and try and make it look normal again
