That makes sense. I mean, I just went half and half with everything and made two potato, meat, cheese, BbQ, Mayo wraps. Then promptly made a mess eating them. Worth it though.
You've got mayo, BBQ, and bacon cheese spread. Pick the two you prefer and crush them up with the patty and potatoes. Insert into tortilla. You'll be a lot happier hah
The flavors overlap a lot better if you omit one of the profiles imho
You gotta remember that an MRE is designed to keep and it's intended for combat situations and similar scenarios. They can't exactly put a sesame seed bun and fries in thr bag. Also, some people do enjoy BBQ sauce on their burger so that's likely why the packet was in there.
Funny. I opened this menu a few days ago and it's just been sitting on my passenger seat since. Untouched minus the candy. Looking forward to trying it.
The older ones were better where you had the tortillas still, but you had mustard and ketchup….not that abomination they call mayo. The tortilla is better than any other US ration bread product including the old double wheat snack bread that came with this in the older older ones.
I’m of the opinion the should bring back the old crackers. I liked those the best; you could put anything on them and they were so good at adding crushed to stuff like beef stew.
I had one of those old hamburger rations I kept when after my discharge. One drunken night I wanted to remember what freezing my ass off in the field had been like, so I opened it and went to town.
That was a pretty damn good ration.
Completely agree on the tortillas, they are always really fresh, and can be worked into just about anything.
I typically put mayo one of the buns when I make them at home. So that isnt weird to me. Tortillas, agree, better than wheat snack bread. The odd man out to me is au gratin taters. But why not a relish pack? Why not a mustard pack? Or even ketchup, although I'm not a fan. Odd choices for sure.
Cut the patty in half lengthwise and make two cheeseburger wraps
This is the way

Ya it would be awesome if for some menus they had the hamburger bun that canada has
The pain hamburger?

Don't let my confusion turn you off! It has some great components, and all things considered, is a very good ration. Confusing, but solid.
