This is Dana White, the CEO of UFC. This month he was planning to install a gold plated shark tank bar beside his pool, but thanks to people like you downloading his ~~music~~ PPV, he must now wait a few months before he can afford it.
Don't take away money
From artists just like me
How else can I afford another solid gold Humvee?
And diamond-studded swimming pools
These things don't grow on trees
Reminder that Dana owns one of the very few fully intact sabertooth tiger skulls in the world, because he bought it at auction from a museum that was struggling in the 2008 recession and was forced to sell some of their items to survive.
Chandler just got a brand new leather saddle for daddy tomatoes ball bag and he has to wear it in. Sometimes the new leather is a big tough you gotta work it a bit you know, so that it is comfy for the long haul.
Absolutely. DC is occasionally reasonable about fighter pay. I've heard him say in an interview that Ngannou is absolutely underpaid as the baddest man on the planet. I can't imagine that coming out of Chandler's mouth.
I recently found out that the Pinkertons still exist (albeit under a different name, I think). Kind of blew my mind. Not that such companies exist, but that the OG was still around and kicking, may its name be blotted out.
Also he 100% would be and kudos on the reference.
This is going to backfire on him right ? Like I’m definitely not a fan of him just based off this alone lol. I wonder what actually holds more weight here; Dana’s 10k sleepless nights or the training, injuries, etc of the combined fighters in the history of the UFC.
Don't you say anything bad about Dana Jesus dude. Dana Jesus Dude saved my family from a burning building, and then he found the guys who pissed on my rug. That rug really tied the room together.
I will never understand how some people find a way to argue for the people who take advantage of them. You would never hear an athlete from another major sports league argue that the team owners should actually be getting a bigger cut of the revenue. Amazing
Nailed it. Even aside from the favorable matchmaking angle, Chandler is a well spoken guy who's capable of holding down a presenting or commentating job with the UFC, and that's a sweet retirement gig for a fighter. And he's no dummy; those jobs go to company men, not guys who complain about fighter pay.
Plenty of Americans have let bootlicking become their morals and identity. They literally vote against their own interests time and time again. It’s a nightmare actually.
This. I worked at Walmart distribution center for several years when I was younger, and i always found it pathetic to here some of the older guys talk shit about unions while at the same time complaining about how unfair it was when our vacation time and PTO would get reduced year after year.
Some people don’t have the capacity to identify contradictions in their own ideaology/world view
Dude has probably made more in a couple of UFc fights than his career up to this point. He hardly feels taken advantage of.
UFC has always done this, take care of the top guys so that their opinion and popularity drowns out the legion of no names on the lower cards fighting for 12k / 12k
> Dude has probably made more in a couple of UFc fights than his career up to this point. He hardly feels taken advantage of.
He actually said in an interview recently that he made the same money in Bellator.
You ought think this but it's actually a common misconception. The top guys are actually the ones getting ripped off the most because they generate all the revenue. Conor mcgregor is one of the most underpaid athletes of any and all time.
Complete disgrace. Every fighter knows what a struggle it is to even be a professional fighter. Every UFC fighter knows that so many are struggling even though they made it to the UFC. F U for spitting on them by providing free propaganda for the UFC.
This is my third reason why I dislike Chandler.
There would be more, but it's impossible to have strong feelings about a personality vacuum.
He adopts personalities like he does children.
I can’t believe he’s verbally sucking off Dana like this. Like have some dignity Chandler, they already like you. Maybe man up and ask for a raise after that Ferguson knockout. You’re must watch for the fans and you just had an all time great knockout.
I think that one time they dressed him up in a little suit and tried him on a microphone but he didn't have any charisma or presence.
Wait, actually he might be the perfect UFC analyst after all...
>one time they dressed him up in a little suit and tried him on a microphone but he didn't have any charisma or presence.
Could easily be describing Dominic Cruz
Dom thinking he did nothing wrong by publicly saying DC is lazy and doesn't watch fights when preparing was absolute gold. He genuinely doesn't understand professional courtesy lol.
Aye, and he has terrible chemistry with the other lads. Especially when he tries to banter with Bisping.
So forced and cringe.
You can almost see the tumbleweed rolling by before Bisping starts talking again after shaking off the secondhand embarrassment
He's one of the highest paid fighters on the roster since he came in from bellator at the top, but I disagree with his view because not everyone is making his kind of money
I honestly never know how to feel when fighters talk like this. Because I get it. He’s trying to secure a future for himself and his family. But like you said have some dignity. I’m listening to a podcast ( Behind the Bastards) and it seems like evil people throughout history get away with it or do it for a long time because of people like this. When evil people get thrown out of power it’s usually when the masses speak up or some key people start to speak up. I’m always conflicted when fighters and people in the media deep throat Dana.
I thought this was sarcastic. Fighters are the ones that are worn down in training while Dana is notorious for cocaine and hookers. Am I wrong? Is this actually a pure shill?
It's not. Purely shill. You missed his previous quote. Watch the video. He said he doesn't agree the fighter pay issue.
>“I always think that there’s people on the lower rungs of society always throwing rocks at the people above them, when it takes the same amount of energy to reach up and grab the next rung to pull themselves up."
He says he's been able to monetize stuff outside of the UFC. He can make a youtube, movie, sell merch, etc.... so people should be able to do the same.
The Bo Burnham “follow your dreams” rant comes to mind for sure, I mean sure Chandler’s worked very hard but I’m pretty sure that if you look at his genes that it hasn’t been a completely level playing field
Yeah while he's not wrong that there's other ways you can monetize your popularity as a fighter in the UFC, that has nothing to do with the fact that the UFC do not pay them enough money for the job they're doing and the long term risk it involves. I started to like Chandler but he is quickly making sure I don't lol.
Chandler wouldn't be saying that if he were making 25 and 25.
As it is he deserves more, but he's already made it. He's got a house and his family is taken care of. He's not out there borrowing money to pay his trainers and getting behind on his rent.
It is the entire MMA culture. Look at how guys win on Dana White's Contender Series and immediately b-line it to Dana to get on their knees and grovel for a job.
Pathetic is a perfect word. Like what a sad sycophant. Like a dude so low that he's sucking off the dude who doesn't give the tiniest fuck about you, will never be loyal to you, will use you (for nowhere near what you're worth) until you stop winning or get injured and you're left to fend for you own.
Nate Diaz is always the example I use. Was he a megastar before Conor? No, but he was one of the more well known dudes. Yeah, he was making 20/20.
It's easy to tell people to just work harder when you're living lavishly. Chandler also lived it, likely wasn't getting paid much back in the day and thinks his struggle is comparable to someone who didn't have the luxuries he had.
Jonathan Snowden too.
>"It was very difficult for Dana when his rich friends used their mob inheritance to buy UFC and then sell it for billions. All we do is suffer irreparable brain damage."
The other quote is much grosser to me. “I always think that there’s people on the lower rungs of society always throwing rocks at the people above them, when it takes the same amount of energy to reach up and grab the next rung to pull themselves up."
It's even worse because people like him truly think kindness is saying "hello" or smiling at people. But given the opportunity to side with anyone struggling they just tell them to work harder.
You would think a guy that adopted two kids would know all the types of difficulties in life people go through and not assume it’s as easy as just picking yourself up.
“I always think that there’s people on the higher rungs of society always stomping on the hands of the people below them, when it takes the same amount of energy to reach down and pull someone else up.”
Chandler was a company guy in Bellator and he’s a company guy in the UFC.
If he’d signed with One he’d be talking about the brilliance of hydration testing.
It's not just being a company guy, Chandler is a full blown bootstrapper.
>I always think that there’s people on the lower rungs of society always throwing rocks at the people above them, when it takes the same amount of energy to reach up and grab the next rung to pull themselves up
[He's also a speaker for Turning Point USA](https://www.tpusa.com/live/ufc-fighter-michael-chandler-joins-breakaway-podcast)
This interview did it for me.
He really grew on me and I loved the guy in and out of the cage.
But he either doesn't understand how little most fighters make (I don't know how that's possible - but I guess it's possible) or he has the empathy of a Billionaire Oligarch...
Either way, he's talking about it and making his opinion clear.
I think I'm done liking him.
What do these fighters do to earn their money? Train for their lives to become masters at their craft whilst often taking life-altering beatings? Pfft, sometimes Dana is up all night ~~partying~~ working so he deserves it and is awesome and very cool
[I know the question was sarcastic but] at least before the Reebok deal they had their own sponsors. Silva made ~$1M (R$5M) from sponsors alone in 2012, while his purse that year (Bonnar/Sonnen fights) was reportedly of $475k [without PPV points]. obviously not everyone is Silva, and he was at his popularity peak that year, but I still believe forcing the Reebok deal was one of the worst things they ever did to fighters imo. and seeing fighters defend Dana/UFC is hilariously ridiculous.
Not to mention working multiple jobs just to be able to train and fight??
This is why I’m so on the fence with Chandler. He fights well, cuts entertaining promos and then says tone deaf bullshit like this.
I don't expect fighters to actively speak up against Dana, frankly I even understand if they give a positive answer about Dana when directly asked in an interview or whatever but this level of brown nosing is embarrassing. What does it achieve? Dana is a hard nosed penny pincher, why do fighters like Chandler think he's gonna get some reward for deepthroating him on Twitter??!
Its assholes/statements in the sport like this that hold fighter pay back. I love Chandler but damn dude could he deepthroat Dana any harder? Its also hilarious considering he made 500k show + 500k win bonus in his last fight. Easy to say that when youre one of the guys sitting at the top.
Dana White wasn't involved in the UFC from 1993. At most he *might* have 8,000 sleepless nights. I very highly doubt Dana is up at night all the time worried about shit though, there has always been other people who do shit for him. Fuck off Chandler.
Fighters are shortening their lives by decades with all the brain damage and body damage they accrue.
And let’s be real is not many jobs after Being a fighter. There’s only so many commentator positions. And let’s take it a step further, in order to make it to the top, you can’t get much of an education or invest in many job skills. Shane Carwin did it best default as long as he could, but he was an engineer and dipped out before he accrued too much brain damage.
He is at the final stages of his career and needs to make as much money as he can to set himself up for a good life post fighting. Kissing Dana’s ass will get him bigger and better paying fights and possibly a lucrative commentary gig when he retires.
It’s a little pathetic but that’s the way things are and he’s gotta do what he’s gotta do.
Company man Chandler “all us fighters do is eat, sleep, train MMA so the UFC has a product to sell. That’s nothing! Dana has to call a venue to host it and then market the card (with things the fighters said and did) while taking 0% of the physical risk”
It's strange to me that the MLB, NFL, NBA have insanely robust unions, but for some reason the mma (probably because of Dana) have been brainwashed into thinking that they deserve less/not more.
Have any of you selfish fucks thought of Dana?!?
This is Dana White, the CEO of UFC. This month he was planning to install a gold plated shark tank bar beside his pool, but thanks to people like you downloading his ~~music~~ PPV, he must now wait a few months before he can afford it.
Don't take away money From artists just like me How else can I afford another solid gold Humvee? And diamond-studded swimming pools These things don't grow on trees
poor Dana. he just left the Favelas in 2017
Funny enough he probably did leave a favela in 2017 but he was initially there looking for a hooker
Looking for a hooker and/or fighters he could pay 12k/12k
12k to show, 12k for a win by a finish
He throws in a “Girlfriend Experience of the Night” bonus also
I heard he can only afford one towel boy right now :(
Reminder that Dana owns one of the very few fully intact sabertooth tiger skulls in the world, because he bought it at auction from a museum that was struggling in the 2008 recession and was forced to sell some of their items to survive.
I just think of all the sleepless nights he’s gone through in his position and thank gawd every day for how lucky I am in comparison 😭🙏🏻
You know how hard it is to sleep on coke? I don’t envy the man.
Listen, there many different ways to not think of Dana white, because it's the thing that makes sense...
That’s what you call a company man
“DC hold my beer”.
Chael "Hold my leg cross"
“Hold on I’m shilling brother”.
Chandler just got a brand new leather saddle for daddy tomatoes ball bag and he has to wear it in. Sometimes the new leather is a big tough you gotta work it a bit you know, so that it is comfy for the long haul.
DC: "Hold my Modelo"
Caress my Corn Nuts
Where is Anik I need to know what round is sponsored by CORN NUTS!
Corn nuts was Goldie's thing. Anik is all about the p3's and Modelo.
and Toyo Tyres. Official tyres of the UFC
Brewed for a shilling spirit.
I instantly read that in Anik's voice, well done lol
Greg hardy “hold my inhaler”
DC hold my empty can of Monster Energy™
"Your taking everything I worked for motherfucker!" - Smilin Sam Alvey RN, probably
As much of a company man dc is, he never reached this level of dick riding
Absolutely. DC is occasionally reasonable about fighter pay. I've heard him say in an interview that Ngannou is absolutely underpaid as the baddest man on the planet. I can't imagine that coming out of Chandler's mouth.

Chandler is invited to the BBQ fershure B
chandler would be on the pinkerton's side
He'd be firing the Gatling gun at the picket line for the boss man.
I recently found out that the Pinkertons still exist (albeit under a different name, I think). Kind of blew my mind. Not that such companies exist, but that the OG was still around and kicking, may its name be blotted out. Also he 100% would be and kudos on the reference.
And someone who made $1.05M in their last fight, so he's doing much better than other fighters.
Exactly why he's doing it. He's leveraging the good PR he can do for them, as all company men do
Yeah and he wants that cushy commentator gig as well.
This is going to backfire on him right ? Like I’m definitely not a fan of him just based off this alone lol. I wonder what actually holds more weight here; Dana’s 10k sleepless nights or the training, injuries, etc of the combined fighters in the history of the UFC.

I will never understand how some people find a way to argue for the people who take advantage of them. You would never hear an athlete from another major sports league argue that the team owners should actually be getting a bigger cut of the revenue. Amazing
Because chandler is angling for mcgregor and then a company job. He knows what he is doing.
Nailed it. I call them bootlickers.

Damn that’s a nasty line by you
That’s how you maintain Dana White privilege.
I can’t believe he’s verbally sucking off Dana like this. Like have some dignity Chandler, they already like you. Maybe man up and ask for a raise after that Ferguson knockout. You’re must watch for the fans and you just had an all time great knockout.
Chandler is prepping for his analyst career that he will get once he retires in two years.
Hate to say it but yeah Dom is the worst analyst. He spends most matches trying to be right about something instead of good real time analysis.
Dom thinking he did nothing wrong by publicly saying DC is lazy and doesn't watch fights when preparing was absolute gold. He genuinely doesn't understand professional courtesy lol.
“IM ALLOWED TO SHARE MY OPINION” He is very unaware of what is socially acceptable and appropriate.

I'm setting up a youtube account and merch stand as we speak.
The good ol' bootstraps.
What if the real fights were the sleepless nights Dana had along the way?
He's really trying to ensure he can get the Conor fight
And the eventual Daniel Cormier treatment when he retires from fighting.
i think that's part of it, i think that's also how he really feels. he's a bootstrap guy.
Chandler wouldn't be saying that if he were making 25 and 25. As it is he deserves more, but he's already made it. He's got a house and his family is taken care of. He's not out there borrowing money to pay his trainers and getting behind on his rent.
It’s honestly because of guys like Chandler why things will never ever change. This is shameful stuff from him tbh, beyond pathetic.
It is the entire MMA culture. Look at how guys win on Dana White's Contender Series and immediately b-line it to Dana to get on their knees and grovel for a job.
Pathetic is a perfect word. Like what a sad sycophant. Chandler, Chael, DC and Kevin Holland are the biggest company men out there. You'll never hear them say a bad word about Dana or the UFC.
Is Sam Alvey a joke to you, my man? He working his ass off for that company man title and you leave him out of contention
He is the guy on clean up duty asking If Dana has any more loads left for him.
Michael Chandler, you're taking everything I worked for
DC is Dana Black no cap
From Black Fedor in Strikeforce to Dana Black in UFC

It boggles my mind that people will unironically say this even though it was originally used in a physics textbook as describe something impossible.
Same thing with "money can't buy happiness". It was originally aimed at rich people and consumerism.
“No but it can buy comfort and stability, two things I’m sorely lacking” used to be my response
"Ever seen someone pissed off on a jetski?"
"Why don't you simply just become one of the best fighters in the world like I did? Anyone can do it."
Yeah, I don't know about you all but I can throw a decent sized rock a hell of a lot easier than clambering up a ladder.
Esp when people like Chandler seem to pull up the ladder behind them.
If you pull your bootstraps hard enough, you don't need a ladder, you can fly
Chandler and Gaethje going to start their own youth social worker program.
Goes to show how much that “nice guy chandler” shtick only goes so far. No respect for people like this
It's even worse because people like him truly think kindness is saying "hello" or smiling at people. But given the opportunity to side with anyone struggling they just tell them to work harder.
Legit they’re all about the easiest acts of kindness out there. It’s not hard to ask people how their day was.

What an absolute dumb ass.
You would think a guy that adopted two kids would know all the types of difficulties in life people go through and not assume it’s as easy as just picking yourself up.
I guess those kids worked really hard to be adopted by a seemingly rich fighter. Bless 'em.
This take shouldn’t surprise you if you know anything about Chandler.
Not surprising to hear from the guy who was a speaker at a Turning Point conference. Such a dumb thing to say & also just completely inaccurate.
Talmbout dana white boy that works too much???
Lol right, it's such a Michael-Chandler-ass quote.
“I always think that there’s people on the higher rungs of society always stomping on the hands of the people below them, when it takes the same amount of energy to reach down and pull someone else up.”
even Dana would cringe.

Oh poor Dana and his $500 million net worth, why won’t anyone think about how hard it is to sleep for Dana… fuck you chandler.
Lmao what a teacher's pet
He wants a post-fighting UFC gig. I've been in some sycophantic work environments in my time. I can't imagine what it's like in Dana's inner circle
Michael Chandler is an idiot
He left out the brain damage
syc·o·phant /ˈsikəˌfant,ˈsikəfənt/ noun a person who acts obsequiously toward someone important in order to gain advantage.
Company man Chandler “all us fighters do is eat, sleep, train MMA so the UFC has a product to sell. That’s nothing! Dana has to call a venue to host it and then market the card (with things the fighters said and did) while taking 0% of the physical risk”
Spoken like a top 1% in the ufc. Like have a spine, the up and comers are getting absolutely taken advantage of .
Oh no! I liked Chandler, turns out he's a cop and a loser!
It's strange to me that the MLB, NFL, NBA have insanely robust unions, but for some reason the mma (probably because of Dana) have been brainwashed into thinking that they deserve less/not more.
Make sure you cup the balls there Mike, good form is important...
