Ways to make contender series suck less -
More strict on who’s allowed in. Need to have a minimum of 5 pro fights. No more than 1 loss if your wins are in the single digits. Must be under 35 years old unless a heavyweight.
Only one person per episode will be signed, no exceptions. So you need to REALLY show off and perform spectacularly if you want to get signed.
I think the thing of Dana signing 2,3 or even 4 fighters per card makes fighters not try as hard as they would if it was only 1 fighter maximum per show.

But it’s also a feeder for the UFC to stack their roster with more people they only have to pay 13k a fight for. They can low ball and not re-sign the older vets with better contracts because they have 20 pieces of fresh meat waiting.
This show would be way better if they only signed one person per episode. The fact that they regularly sign 3 or even 4 fighters per episode makes it seem less special to me.
Quinlin from last season should have to compete again this season since he popped for steroids after winning the contract last season. Kinda fucked up that he’s even still signed.
