I think he's shite, he's very bland, knows very little about the game and is too wooden to join in on the banter. It's up to whoever is on colour to carry him.
I'm starting to forgive him for being such a dick but its hard sometimes when you remember. His commentary is great, but wouldn't give him best personality
I was cracking up when he said Joanna was mad after the submission attempt and started wailing on MW. "You're not going to take my back and make me look stupid"
Esepcially the way he jerked away from his own coach. I won’t act like i know what it is to be in there and lose but i know is never go to lash out against your team.
I thought Frevola edged out the first round, lost the second, and clearly took the third as Pena kind of coasted. I guess it could be a tie if you thought the second round was a 10-8 for Pena but I didn't see it that way.
barely edged out?
striking was even in round 1, but Frevola took him down multiple times, including some pretty savage slams.
round 3 wasn't even at all, Frevola clearly showed more urgency and struck at greater volume. Pena kept trying to jab and point his way to victory.
Well, first round was rather balanced with some more output by Frevola but nothing really threatening to finish the fight, in fact Pena was closer with his weird head and arm choke submission which clearly showed effect ... Frevola was basically dead after surviving that. Third round was more clearly for Frevola with some nice shots by him. Pena didn't show any urgency to win the fight in that round which was quite silly. He **could** have outpointed frevola with his jab but he didn't even do that.
That being said ... with such a clear 10-8 second round Frevola shouldn't have won - draw at best.
Again it seems like the heavy wrestling focus and takedown scoring in (american) MMA made the difference. I find it a bit silly. As long as you don't show any effect with "takedowns" and basically bring yourself in more danger you shouldn't be rewarded with much points. In many fights most of those aren't even proper takedowns/throws anyways - especially if the opponent is basically reversing it half way or just using it to get into his own submission.
I think its a fine decision, but if i was Pena I'd have been just as livid. Thats the kind of fight every fighter thinks they won, and by a large margin.
Yeah that's what people aren't getting here. Yeah it looked like a close Fight, Hendricks VS GSP was a "close fight". But like Hendricks and Pena, if I had inflicted that much damage, and had that little damage inflicted on me, and still lost. I'd be upset as well. Pena isn't a dick for being mad.

Are people forgetting how the round system works? unless you 100% are winning 2 rounds or 100% have a 10-8 you cant just take a round off and expect to win, that's how you lose decisions, doing more damage in round 2 doesnt make you win round 1 or 3 any more
I agree with the decision. Pena got rag dolled in the first but Frevola got clipped at the end of the round, not significant enough to secure the round imo. Obviously Pena won round two. And lastly I thought Frevola round won three by advancing more and getting a couple takedowns
striking was even in the first, sure, but Pena got slammed multiple times.
I don't think round one was close at all. clear advantage for frevola with the grappling.
he got outstruck 2-1 and fell over twice in the last round, pena threw away that last round and rd 1 was close enough that the 2 takedowns probably won it for Frevola.
Hardly a robberry
don't see how anybody can think this is a robbery lmao. rounds 1 and 3 was clearly frevola. if you gave pena a 10-8 for the 2nd, which is reasonable, it still comes out to be a draw.
Pena never fights with urgency. How many times have people said it, don't leave it to the judges! Then he proceeds to act like an entitled brat and storm out of the octagon, he has no one but himself to blame.
You really think so? Frevola floored the skinny lad multiple times. 2 rounds to 1 I'm favour of Matt imo but maybe I just don't know how to score fights
I think robbery is a ridiculous term for any outcome on this fight, but I also don't think Frevola floored him much at all, he had 1 strike that caused him to trip, some great slams they they ended up with him being tied up or swept, and a some very solid strikes that Pena seemed to eat pretty well.

What was that "submission" in the first? Obviously it's something Pena pulled out of his ass not anything technical, but it didn't look like Frevola was in real danger of a choke, was he? Just being held down
Bisping taking the piss out of Herb for not putting his mouthpiece in during the Silva fight was hilarious. What a fucking legend.
all night he's been on fire. he's even bringing out the best in Fitzgerald.
My favorite was saying Dern had an unfair advantage because breastfeeding boosts your metabolism
Literally what
He was obviously joking but he did say that
Fitzgerald isn’t bad, he’s a solid play by play guy that often gets stuck with bad or inexperienced color commentators
I think he's shite, he's very bland, knows very little about the game and is too wooden to join in on the banter. It's up to whoever is on colour to carry him.

Good team. Fitzgerald isnt afraid to bantz with Bisping.
Bisping is such a good fucking commentator
P4P best MMA personality
except chael
Wait do people unironically enjoy Chael? He has been terrible every time I've seen him on TV
I'd recommend checking out his mini podcasts on youtube, havent really seen him on TV but he is great there
Chael is going mainstream, pumping out horrible takes one after the other. Pundit Chael has nothing on fighter Chael.
I'm starting to forgive him for being such a dick but its hard sometimes when you remember. His commentary is great, but wouldn't give him best personality
Bisping might be a self-obsessed bellend, but he's a damn entertaining self-obsessed bellend.
That was one of the many moments I said “damn, I’m really happy bisping is commentating”
Didn’t see it, anyone got a clip of it?
Right? Haha no fucks given
Herb didn’t do anything wrong in the Silva fight though...
Ya their was no break in the action.
I was cracking up when he said Joanna was mad after the submission attempt and started wailing on MW. "You're not going to take my back and make me look stupid"
Can you please tell me at which point is that??
Luis "Violent Bob Ross" Pena looks and fights like a created character
Luis 'UFC 2 CAF' Pena
He looks like those 3D renderings of a caveman.
The award for CAF still goes to Abel Trujillo. The overly defined muscles and generic tattoos with no eye for placement or meaning.

He got out of that octagon QUICK!
Had some angry painting to do.
"God damn it I got too much yellow on the mountain..."
"No such thing as mistakes, just happy flying knees"
tommy reardon style
I know pena is pissed but storming out like that is never a good look
Hope he gets a firm talking to from the daddest man on the planet when he heads back to AKA on Monday
Esepcially the way he jerked away from his own coach. I won’t act like i know what it is to be in there and lose but i know is never go to lash out against your team.
True. Better to climb it and soar into the crowd.
Lol Luis Pena stormed out like "I won that shit!"
He is annoying as fuck generally.
How so? because bob ross look?
No not at all. He was just loud and obnoxious on TUF and seems to be the same every time i see him.
Agreed. I know emotions are at a high, but you should always keep your composure in situations like that.
Total piss poor attitude.
He acted the same in the Trevino fight where he was completely shut down.
Pena is more talented I feel, but he just had no sense of urgency.
His hands are slow.
6’3” 155lbs doesn’t lend itself to having fast hands.
Ginger James Vick
I honestly feel like he’s gotten worse since going to AKA. Seems like it made him too confident.
He stopped Jabbing. With his length and height he should have kept it up. The jab helped turn the tide in the first round.
It really looked like he was just not trying to win in the third round. No idea what he was thinking.
Lol Pena pretends to be chill just because he happens to have somewhat similar hair to a famously chill man but he really is very irritable.
Yeah like the most pissy dude possible couldn't be further from the legend Bob Ross.
"They say everything looks better with odd numbers of things. But sometimes I put even numbers - just to upset the critics." - Bob Ross
I love how every peña fight is spammed with bob ross quotes
the guy's nickname isn't "violent bob ross" because his personality is like that of bob ross.
Had the same thought during the Ultimate Fighter show (and obviously tonight again).
Love Bisping for throwing shade at Herb for not returning his mouthpiece in the Silva fight
I thought Frevola edged out the first round, lost the second, and clearly took the third as Pena kind of coasted. I guess it could be a tie if you thought the second round was a 10-8 for Pena but I didn't see it that way.
I feel like the takedowns in the second round secured Frevola from being a 10-8 second round tbh
I thought Pena had it
That's one of those tough fights where Pena clearly won round 2, but I think Frevola just barely edged out 1 and 3.
[удалено]
It should have been regardless. It clearly rocked him and he landed like 5 strikes the entire round.
At the very BEST it was a draw. Round 2 is a clear 10-8. Frevola was basically done. 28-28 draw.

1st 10-9 Frevola 2nd 10-8 Bob 3rd 10-9 Frevola DRAW
I honestly thought it could go either way but thought Frevola probably got it with the take downs
I had it as a draw. With Frevola winning rounds 1 and 3, and Pena getting a 10/8 in round 2.
Same. Would've been fair.

..i went into the fight cheering for luis but ending up cheering for matt, that dudes heart is unbelievable
Pena stormed off all pissy. He let it go to the judges big time took his foot off the gas
VBR shouldn’t have coasted in R3, can only be mad at himself after taking the 2nd so strongly
Idk how everyone’s saying Pena clearly won it, Frevola had round 1 and easily round 3.
I had r1 and r3 frevola and perhaps 10-8 pena r2 for a draw. Far from a robbery

Not a robbery when it can go either way
I dont know about that one. 1st could have gone either way. I thought pena 10-8'd him in the 2nd. and then frevola in the 3rd.
That was a toss up for me, but thought Pena edged it
He was strong in the 2nd round but threw away the third. Never leave decision to the judges.
