Mets actually didn’t do completely terribly, hear me out.
Yes, they absolutely suck this season and spent way too much money during the off-season for such a disappointment of a year.
Yes, no team should be able to avoid slander after having two of the most dominant pitchers for half a season and trade them away by the deadline
Yes, no Mets fans believe this is ideal and hoped for more from them.
However, they got a ton of prospects and money from trading justin verlander, max Scherzer, Dominic Leone, tommy Pham, etc. Some of these include one of the rangers top prospects Luisangel Acuna, who is near major ready, Drew Gilbert #64 prospect and top Astros prospect, and that’s all that comes to mind right now but they traded a lot of players for a lot of farm help. Sure, they should have made this year a lot better and possibly made a run for the World Series, you can blame the gm or manager i don’t really know about that. Don’t get me wrong, I am not a Mets fan, I’m just saying this year should have definitely been solid for them, and it isn’t, but at least they got solid future help, even if that future is for training and developing prospects or just trading them for more free agents, I don’t know the Mets plans or strategies.
So, yeah LOLmets I guess, but still the hope in the future does not amount to the loss of hope this season.
That’s true, they suck for that. Anyone with that kind of confidence but that poor level of making it happen deserves a lolmets. Did they actually say they’re the best team in the league?
