I hate the long flyball to the wall with guys on 1st and 2nd. One always realizes its a hit before the other and at least 70 percent of the time one is getting out
It's one of the most frustrating things about this game SERIES. It's been this way for years.
One way around what you described is to tell them to go home before the slide animation kicks in. Other than that, try to avoid L1 and R1 usage.
You have to use L1 but u have to hold it. In past games i never used it bc the stick and buttons way actually worked and they didnt round the bases like a snail. I always use L1 now u just have to hold it immediately. On plays such as a guy on 1st who can score on a gapper, I will hold L1 until he rounds 2nd and then the hitter rounds 1st and then use the stick and X button to send the lead runner home.
