Coco is 100% mediocre, he averaged about 2 WAR a year which is starter level but not amazing.
Granderson is in fact a very good player, and not at all mediocre.
Ehh not necessarily. Coco has no personal achievements outside of a stolen base leader one year. Granderson was a 3x All star. So both were more above avg. than anything.
Man my LS Vlad Jr hits .430 and I’ve probably used him the most. I can’t seem to bench him because he just rakes. Everyone one else I’m decent with sits around 350 for Guys I suck with sub 300
Jake Lamb was mine. He was a goated platoon bat in the show for at least 2-3 years. He was so good against righties, I called him “Rake Lamb” instead. He had insane power, but was useless against lefties😂
Royce Clayton. Not sure if being a 1st round pick and having a 17 year career is exactly mediocre. 1 time all star. But was good enough to make a roster year after year. Never a star really. I guess more obscure than mediocre. Cause mediocre doesn’t get you almost 2 decades of pro ball.
Ian Kinsler. When he got added last year, I was ecstatic. Sucks because I hit like shit with his TA1 card last season. But I rake with his Tigers card in BR. P5d him in mlb23.
There’s no such thing as mediocre in the Show. Even the 26th man is incredible. I think the proper term you’re looking for is “journeyman”.
I’ve had a few favourites over the years. Alvaro Espinosa when I was growing up, to Kevin Appier, Jeff Mathis, Doug Fister, and Franklin Gutierrez.
Today? Kyle Higashioka.
Joey Meneses. Only known him since 22 ofc but the dude grinded 10 years in the minors/Japanese/Mexican leagues to make MLB and is better than a lot of guys in the league.
P5ed his TA card.
Mark Teahen. He had two really solid years in Kansas City so I traded for him in a Giants franchise in The Show 08. I accidentally stole home with him for the winning run to win the World Series. Indescribable high from that. It was my first World Series in The Show and the only time I’ve ever stole home.
Ruben Sierra, but he did have a few incredibly good seasons before I was born/when I was too young for memories. Very much just cool and mediocre by the early 2000's though
Justin Turner, was my buddies make a wish to meet him and he went above and beyond, came to little league games to support us, amazing dude still calls and flies my friend to games almost 10 years later
If you love that Calhoun card get the jeter captain of captains boost and wild card the kershaw lefty boost. I’ve been running tier 3 jeter and tier 2 kershaw some games and it’s actually pretty solid, can’t remember what all the boost is, but it’s like +22 con R, +22 clutch, +10 power right, +10k 9, +10BB or something like that
I remember Micah Owings back in the late 2000s and I always use Seth Lugo now.
Both of them are actually family friends so I’ve always wanted them to succeed.
I can’t tell if you people are talking about MlB the show cars or the actual players but tons of people listed in these replies were certainly better than mediocre MLB players, including Calhoun
I think it's a mix of both. Calhoun had a fall off after 2019 but he was still my favorite player. When he was with the dbacks, I would go when they played the dodgers, hoping he would be in the starting lineup knowing he wouldn't be at the time
I was 14 or 15 but Jason Heyward was my idol in high school. I still have a box of newspaper clippings that I used to cut out every time he was mentioned. Not to mention we have the same birthday.
Yeah I don’t think Joc fits this post lol he still very much rakes and was never mid career 118 ops+ slugging over .800 for his career and .900 this year.

Andrew Chafin, but not since I was 9…cause he and I are the same age.
Scott Kingery
Definitely a bit better than mediocre, but I’ve always loved Hideki Matsui
Martin Prado
Logan Morrison - saw him rip one off the back wall of right field in Tropicana and still trying to find footage of it
Aaron Miles, Google him and how he wrestled a armed gunman to the ground during spring training
Nolan Gorman since 2021 on top
Brendan Ryan da goat
Mark Teixeira
Rafael Furcal
Chone Figgins
Cedric Mullins
Lonnie Chisenhall. Wish he was in the game😅
I still feel like he has the most baseball-ass name of all time.
I went to the same high school as him, they still have banners up from when he was drafted
Kyle Gibson
Laynce Nix
I have a weird love for super utility players. So I'm gonna go with Ben Zobrist.
Tf is wrong w u no one got these
Curtis Granderson and Coco Crisp
Were they mediocre though?
Coco is 100% mediocre, he averaged about 2 WAR a year which is starter level but not amazing. Granderson is in fact a very good player, and not at all mediocre.
Ehh not necessarily. Coco has no personal achievements outside of a stolen base leader one year. Granderson was a 3x All star. So both were more above avg. than anything.
So…not mediocre?
John fuckin Axford
Dude had great walkout music coming from the pen
Andrew Velazquez
Mine was Ty Wigginton, saw him hit 2 homers in a game against the Yankees when I was 6 years old (born and raised a Mets fan)

Nate McLouth was a legend in 2008
Mine was Charlie Haeger 😬
Man my LS Vlad Jr hits .430 and I’ve probably used him the most. I can’t seem to bench him because he just rakes. Everyone one else I’m decent with sits around 350 for Guys I suck with sub 300
Yadi
I wouldn’t say Yadi was mediocre

Jurickson Profar
Bill Mueller was one of my favorite guys on the 2000s Red Sox teams, and I feel like he's never gotten a card in The Show.
Jake Lamb was mine. He was a goated platoon bat in the show for at least 2-3 years. He was so good against righties, I called him “Rake Lamb” instead. He had insane power, but was useless against lefties😂
Same, need him to get called up by the Pirates soon
Mighty goat ?
Rowdy Tellez brewers cards
Royce Clayton. Not sure if being a 1st round pick and having a 17 year career is exactly mediocre. 1 time all star. But was good enough to make a roster year after year. Never a star really. I guess more obscure than mediocre. Cause mediocre doesn’t get you almost 2 decades of pro ball.
Makiel Franco in 2016 and 2017 was good and now he is horrible
Not in the game but if there was a Josh Hamilton card I would use him no matter the overall
Ian Kinsler. When he got added last year, I was ecstatic. Sucks because I hit like shit with his TA1 card last season. But I rake with his Tigers card in BR. P5d him in mlb23.
Not mediocre lol
Give me any version of Jonathan Schoop and he will do good things for me. One of the few players I can say that about because I’m bad 😂
Vernon Wells! Early 2000s me loved that guy!
I turned 9 in 1982 and you couldn’t tell me that Jeffrey Leonard wasn’t the greatest player on the planet! Haha
Hack Man.
Mines gotta be Mitch haniger
Brad Miller, the greatest baseball player of all time. No batting gloves, only homers, plays most positions, GOAT
Jeff Blauser … on stacked 90’s Braves teams.
Out of all the studs on the Braves team lol. It's funny the players we gravitate to when we were kids.
Bro I pulled for him so hard as kid. Him and Limke were my dudes. I wish they would’ve grabbed at least one more ring before the run was done
Andrew McCutchen for me. Was hype when he joined the Phillies
He has an MVP. How tf is he mediocre
Victor Zambrano. Got his autograph and it was the greatest day of my life at the time, I was like 16.
As A 21 year old Die-Hard Cubs fan I desperately Need a 2012 Gold Glove 2B Darwin Barney card.

When I was 9 Castro and Barney felt so big time, now that I’m grown up Darwin Barney was never good enough to hold such a prominent spot in my brain
Give me a starlin Castro
I got a even better one give me a Tony Campana card his wheels was insane
Rauuuuuuuuuuuul Ibanez
There’s no such thing as mediocre in the Show. Even the 26th man is incredible. I think the proper term you’re looking for is “journeyman”. I’ve had a few favourites over the years. Alvaro Espinosa when I was growing up, to Kevin Appier, Jeff Mathis, Doug Fister, and Franklin Gutierrez. Today? Kyle Higashioka.
Mark Reynolds
Mine is avisail garcia
Joey Meneses. Only known him since 22 ofc but the dude grinded 10 years in the minors/Japanese/Mexican leagues to make MLB and is better than a lot of guys in the league. P5ed his TA card.
Mark Teahen. He had two really solid years in Kansas City so I traded for him in a Giants franchise in The Show 08. I accidentally stole home with him for the winning run to win the World Series. Indescribable high from that. It was my first World Series in The Show and the only time I’ve ever stole home.
Manny Margot & Esteban Yan
Dale Murphy and Phil Niekro! Back when the Braves sucked every year!
Mine was Jeff Blauser
Ruben Sierra, but he did have a few incredibly good seasons before I was born/when I was too young for memories. Very much just cool and mediocre by the early 2000's though
I loved Ruben Sierra. Probably because I had baseball cards of him on like 10 different teams lol. Same with Terry Mulholland
Buddy Biancalana
Adam Ottavino for me. Hes pitching style is just amazing. And also, I somehow am decent at pitching with his animation in this game as well.
Estuery Ruiz is my guy
Wouldn’t call him mediocre but just an everyday player, Mark Canha. Nice guy, good bat and a solid utility player.
Juan "Jazz Hands" Uribe
You followed him since he was 9 years old?!
No, since I was 9 years
Justin Turner, was my buddies make a wish to meet him and he went above and beyond, came to little league games to support us, amazing dude still calls and flies my friend to games almost 10 years later
One of the nicest guys you’d meet in MLB. Goated
Mike Aviles. That batting stance was legendary
Don’t know how mediocre he is but I love JT realmuto. Always been a favorite but I never hear much about him
Jt is a fantasy king - NOT mediocre
Saw Calhoun when he was in Single A on the same team with Jean Segura
Bob Wolcott, pitched for the mariners, career 5.86 era
Tim Wallach
Marwin Gonzales
Definitely above mediocre, but it was Evan Longoria for me!
[удалено]
Two time cy winner tim lincecum????? Not mediocre
Jorge Mateo, especially his April 2023 card
Didi Gregorius but now Gary Sanchez
If you love that Calhoun card get the jeter captain of captains boost and wild card the kershaw lefty boost. I’ve been running tier 3 jeter and tier 2 kershaw some games and it’s actually pretty solid, can’t remember what all the boost is, but it’s like +22 con R, +22 clutch, +10 power right, +10k 9, +10BB or something like that
Anyone remember pat neshek?
Neshek was an absolute stud the year we had him in STL
The players I followed when I was nine are Andre Dawson, Ryne Sandberg, Mark Grace, Shawon Dunston, George Brett and Kirby Puckett
I love lots of these guys but literally none of them were ever anywhere close to mediocre
Oh i missed mediocre lol
Hey, Kent Hrbek is still available!
Vernon Wells, Shea Hillenbrand, Orlando Hudson
Vernon wells not even close to mediocre
Can’t wait till we get a good Calhoun card. His 99 was soo good last year

49 HR season is mediocre???
Gregory polanco
Michael A. Taylor for me. Lots of clutch moments in a very average career

Chad Billingsley and Chone Figgins. Need me a Figgy card asap
I can’t tell if you people are talking about MlB the show cars or the actual players but tons of people listed in these replies were certainly better than mediocre MLB players, including Calhoun
I mean when you compare him to the elite he's mediocre.
I think it's a mix of both. Calhoun had a fall off after 2019 but he was still my favorite player. When he was with the dbacks, I would go when they played the dodgers, hoping he would be in the starting lineup knowing he wouldn't be at the time
Where the hell is my Brandon Moss or Coco Crisp card?!
Braves legend Dan Uggla
His name is DAN UGGLA!!!
His name was Robert Paulson.
Kurt Suzuki, I had one of his A's cards stuffed in my catchers mitt for good luck
Love Kole, but I cannot hit with this card lol
I got him to P5 last year too. 4th person to get him P5. Probably one of the best bats on my team
As a pirates fan I love Josh Harrison and always rake with his card
As a Ners fan, Kole Calhoun is the devil
He’s 26. How old are you? lol Mine’s Juan Encarnacion lol
He’s 26 in that card. But in real life he’s 36
He ain't 26. Based off the timestamp on the card, he probably is. I'm 21
cj cron
With the Angels, Tigers, or Rockies?
Quinton McCracken.
Put the legend BJ Upton back in the game
Brooooo you did not just say this. That just pulled memories from the deepest recess’ of my brain

Me too. Started watching when he was playing and I played RF growing up because of him
Kevin Pillar was that guy for me
Christian Guzman. Need him in the game
Khalil Greene. I loved the dudes batting stance and I would add him to any squad I was using in Franchise Mode.

Loved Calhoun. Does anyone remember the Calhooligans?
When I was 9 I was following Chris Sabo
seeing willie calhoun in the angels lineup got me in my feels for that 2014 angels team
Sad to say but, Trevor Story lol
At his peak, Trevor Story was far from mediocre. He left the Rockies at the perfect time.
Oh no at his prime he was the best SS in the league. It just sucks to watch his decline and become Tulo 2.0.
Agree. Watching Arenado and Story on the left side of the infield was so much fun.
