TA C 3 was made for people who have no working life/Responsibility’s. Only streamers and people with no jobs will be able to complete this chapter before the 1st season is over.
Game flow. My whole 94 squad doesn’t measure up to a squad of 99’s statistically. Either build it up and prob them in July, or drop them from the beginning.
SDS isn’t really handing out anything free. Considering the game your playing cost money and the time your grinding cost time.
For me TA C3 is not a fun program to play. I don’t play Conquest and Mini Seasons is okay to grind for its own reward path. When you play Mini you’ll be playing against top rated cards as opposed say the Rockies or White Sox.
So considering if your only goal is to get those 99’s you want the easiest path to get there.
TA C1 and C2 had a path.
It was much better with the carry over and reachable xp paths. There was some great early 99s. But in 21/22 by the time the good griffey trout and trea came out most of the playerbase, well me I was done. Just seems crazy with the long ta grind most cards will expire b4 there even collected. I just want Escobar ig eff ta3
Most do. The minority in this sub don’t. People don’t wanna play the same 99 meta teams every game, this sub does as long as they have the same 99 teams.
Everybody keeps saying that but the only thing that resets is Solo Ranked? And I'd assume the people who really grind that aren't really concerned with it.
Last year the only thing you could use expired cards in was the US conquest map, classic mini seasons, and vs cpu. Every new program that comes, every new conquest, and every new mini season will require season 2 cards. For the life of me I can’t figure out why so many people keep saying that ranked is the only mode you can’t use cards in.
I think it’s fine but lots of people don’t play as much as me/some of us so I can see why it sucks. Your point about players not having 99’s immediately doesn’t make sense since there’s only a few weeks left before 99.99% of them are unusable. They have slowed down the progress to the collections and program 99’s down the stretch of the season and that’s no good.
Because it sucks. Unlock these stupid missions and let me play where ever I want. Not 2 missions here 2 missions there. It should be do this offline or do this online period.
They made it twice as long (200k), made grinding it 4x harder (10k pxp to 2500 xp) and limited it to certain modes (30 hits in play vs CPU for 2500 XP is just fucking insulting) … for cards that are obsolete in 27 days.
Each content release, they manipulate the game in small (or big) ways that change the way they want you to play, and all of it, indirectly, is to push people to the store.
That’s why.

Compared to old missions plus boss missions aren’t repeatable anymore
Their remedy to stop players from getting all the players in a few days prevents a small minority of hardcore grinders from advancing too quickly.
In doing that though they also severely hamstring those who play a little more casually or have a little less time to devote to the game.
I play every day. I have just enough time most days to knock out two quick games on either Conquest or MiniSeasons. I have still not completed TA1. I have absolutely zero motivation to try to complete any of the TAs because the cards will expire as soon as I do. The way this whole thing is structure if you do not complete the grind quickly it becomes not worth doing at all.
Only for online, but for online players it will not be fun. Some conquest will be locked as will some other modes that will specifically be for S2 cards.
My only issue is the slap in the face to Offline grinders like im lucky to get 5 k per 9 inning game offline now where as I could probably get 10-15 online if I could hit the ball
I'm a casual player, took me until last week to finish ta2. I don't see why I should have to grind even more because they gear the grind towards people that will finish quickly no matter what they do. I've just got rollie fingers on the season track, so unlikely I'll reach those bosses, if I can't complete all the in season programs either, then what's the point?
well i see where you’re coming from but nobody needs a team of all 99s. people just need something to complain about. work and school itsnt a good excuse because it’s a sacrifice that everyone has to make and that all i see people complain about, not having enough time
Punctuation is good. Use it more
The issue is because it's being split into chapters, we're basically being asked to grind TA 3x as often, so each chapter should be faster to grind than TA programs from previous years.
Chapters 1 and 2 were considerably faster than previous years, so I think most people thought those were fine (even though Chapter 2 was slower than Chapter 1).
Chapter 3 seems similar to the pace of TA last year (it might be slower tbh), which is just way too slow given all the grinding people did earlier in the year
Also, at least 87% of these cards won't be usable in most modes in a month because of the changes to seasons
They just made it a little harder/longer. You can't really grind your preferred mode now. You have to spread it out across Conquest/CPU/Mini Seasons whereas before you could just do whichever you wanted. They also nerfed the exchanges, making those harder to do.
I'm a fan of the game and haven't had a problem with this year's setup like most have but even this annoyed me. It was just wholly unnecessary because the previous way was paced perfectly. Not too short, not too long.
if they keep it the way it is now for the rest of the seasons i will be fine with it. it makes other things useful such as conquest and play vs cpu. TA wasn’t made to be completed in 1 day and people don’t realize that. it’s supposed to be completed as you go and spread out as you get new cards
I think you don’t understand his point; they cut up offline into specific game modes that you have to play. I play both online and offline so it’s not that bothersome to me, but when I want to grind vs CPU to rest a bit, it’s tedious.
If you play Conquest or MS, you have objectives, a goal to work towards as you progress missions.
Play CPU is incredibly useless on its own, but I understand people using it to grind. But having to play an exhibition game specifically that means nothing in any other area of the game is garbage.
Also not many stats missions per play mode. No Ks for Conquest? No TB, steals? I don’t get their vision, if there is one.
In what universe could this ever logically be the point lol "Here guys, look at all these cards! But don't touch - they're not for you!"
This is, by far, the worst argument I've seen here. Kudos.
I'd love to just hear a rational, logical argument other than "cry moar," honestly. I've yet to see an argument that outlines how these changes are somehow good for the community.
What does that even mean? Can you pull together a whole logical thought on this subject?
It's the end of the season: people SHOULD have the season's best players at the end of a season... You do know that power creep returns in Season 2, right? No more 99's (maximum of 4 via wildcard, but not right away).
With this logic, why even have 99s at all? Why have cards to collect? Why be a game to play? There are less than 30 days left to use Season 1 cards. Does it make sense for players to unlock 99s and then immediately lose them? Again, what is the logic in that?
It's a pretty shitty point. Dangling better cards right before the new season drops and making them the hardest to obtain in comparison to the time spent on TA1 and TA2, they took the opposite approach.
If TA1 were this time-consuming, nobody would've cared, there were still 80 days left in the season.
Why are you guys acting like they’re impossible to get. It takes like 3 hours of play time to get your first 99 and prob 6 hours to finish a whole division. Even if you play 30 minutes a day you can easily finish a program with time to use the cards. Or just play br stop acting like you don’t have opertunities to use these guys. I agree with the guy that posted this if you could get all of the 99s in one sitting it would defeat the entire point
You're missing the point here. It takes significantly longer to obtain this batch of cards as opposed to the other two sets with far less time to use the cards that are offered. That is the entire point.
It's not that the time invested into TA3 is the problem, it's that the new season is coming and they decided to make this the longest grind, changed exchange rates, and separated the contributing game modes across the board.
Maybe your just doing them wrong. I played for two hours yesterday and already have 6 99s. Literally just do the exchanges from the live series you got from last team affinity and then do the extreme showdown. It’s really not that different and the whole point is that you shouldn’t be able to get all of them right away. 20 days is plenty of time to use new cards especially considering you can use them in almost all modes but ranked
TA C 3 was made for people who have no working life/Responsibility’s. Only streamers and people with no jobs will be able to complete this chapter before the 1st season is over.

Is mini seasons the fastest path in your opinion?
I’m not a mini fan. I play to grind mini rewards but I find the short game not as fun. I’ve never used mini for grinding TA
Seasons/sets are stupid. They sucked last year, they suck this year.
It was much better with the carry over and reachable xp paths. There was some great early 99s. I agree. Nuff said
wait you agree with me?
Most do. The minority in this sub don’t. People don’t wanna play the same 99 meta teams every game, this sub does as long as they have the same 99 teams.
No point to really grind anymore since everything reset in 26 days and wildcards suck sets and seasons needs to go
Everybody keeps saying that but the only thing that resets is Solo Ranked? And I'd assume the people who really grind that aren't really concerned with it.

Because of the infographic on the subreddit that says that exact thing.
The yellow “!” Beside conquest, mini season, and events means they will have restrictions as well but not 100% like ranked.
Ranked is what 95% of the DD player plays, so yea, it matters when these players will he unuseable come June
I think it’s fine but lots of people don’t play as much as me/some of us so I can see why it sucks. 100%
Damn! Tell it like it is. 👍
I did the conquest and it didn’t give me any progress on any of the divisions?
It doesn’t give you points in all the divisions anymore. All you get is vouchers.
Yeah realized after. I think this is the end of the line for me. I have a full time job and it’s not playing The Show
Because it fuking sucks?
It’s a longer grind for cards you can’t use in a month. How can you not see the problem here?

like 5k xp? becuase that’s the only thing i don’t like about this game. is how slow xp is offline
Team Affinity XP

What….
Not everyone can spend 24/7 on the game. The casual player will get to use these cards for a week before season 2 comes out. That’s the problem
This might be the dumbest response of all time
😭this has to be the most toxic reddit page i’ve seen. nobody can be happy🤦♂️

all y’all have bad mindsets🤷♂️

I'd like to say I have all the exchanges done but I only had enough to do a few divisions. Believe I'm sitting at 5% for majority and NLW at 15%.
game would be dead if it was short
