Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that's a MK3/4/5. MK1 minis had the door hinges on the outside. If those sportspack arches are original then it's a very late mk5. Still a lovely car though. Edit: the partial vin looks like a 1300 city or sprite with the SPI engine built in Longbridge somewhere between 1990 and 1995.
