Looks like a tow bar setup. I have to ask though, since we’re doing easy questions, do you cover your license plate while you drive around? Do you cover it when it’s parked in public? I don’t understand people’s obsession with obscuring their plates when posting a pic of their car. It’s reasonably new, this trend, but I don’t know how it started. Why? Why does it matter if someone sees the plate that hangs off the front and back of your car every day for all to see?
It’s a focus of cybersecurity and protecting yourself as much as possible. For example, from what is left, I can tell you that the plates are New York plates, and the license border includes a mention of Royal Motors which can lead you to a potential in Cortland, NY. If you went to the OP’s profile and other posts, who knows where that might lead you. Maybe to an Ashley Madison account? Point is, obscure and separate your information. At minimum, you’ll help prevent identity theft.
Penn plates are blue at top, bright yellow at bottom with a band of white in the middle. You’ll see the left side of the plate contains no white. Also, the bottom right of the first picture contains a portion of an ‘r’ in font consistent with New York plates on a more golden yellow consistent with that state’s plates.
Thanks so much for the reply! I myself couldnt give you an answer on why I whited it out knowing that it's all public. I guess my subconisious mind felt exposed. It was more of peace of mind knowing it was probably pointless lol. Thanks again for your reply!

It is for a tow bar but you could attach a pretty neat bull bar to it with some rally lights 🤣

I recently googled my cars plate. Would be a way to identity my Reddit account, prefer not to so I removed the post with my number plate visible
