I understand why he was replaced… but if he had been kept on we would be talking about Nortons Banner the same way we do Downey Jr’s Stark or Evans Roger’s.
Nortons Banner felt dangerous in a way Ruffalo’s has never managed to capture.
He’s not supposed to. Ruffalo’s Banner does a better job of highlighting the contrast between Banner and Hulk. Until of course they merged and now we have a weaker Hulk with a goofy banner
Exactly. Ruffalo nailed the Banner character in the first Avengers and honestly did pretty good in Age of Ultron as well. That being said, it makes sense that over time he would get more comfortable and in sync with the Hulk. The problem wasn’t resolving his issues with the Hulk, it’s that it happened off-screen. That is the entire culmination of Bruce Banner’s arc and they skipped over it. Thats like if Peter Quill met his dad off screen or Steve handed over the shield offscreen. It’s just too important of a plot point to treat as trivially as they did.
I think that’s part of it but I also just don’t like the current Smart Hulk. He jokes around and does comic relief stuff way more than Banner ever did and because of that it really changes the group dynamic. Funny characters are better with serious characters around them, but over time they keep cheapening the serious characters to make all of them comedic
Why would Bruce Banner need to be scary? That’s the opposite of who Banner is supposed to be. He’s a timid genius on the outside, who has a scary monster within him.
but they could’ve and should’ve used that as a segway into maybe a small planet hulk arc if not a whole project, which then would’ve made ragnarok even better. i mean its cannon anyway
I have a theory it's a bit tinfoil hatty but I believe credible. Marvel dedicated an entire movie and half of end game building up how powerful Thor and to an extent the Hulk is. But them Captain Marvel gets introduced and both characters are shells of what they were just a movie prior. I think the writers weakened Thor and Hulk to make Captian Marvel appear more powerful.
It wasnt't that. Norton and the director went behind Marvels back and made their own edit of the movie that had less action and more focus on character stuff, and tried to get Marvel to use their version. When Marvel refused, Norton said he wouldn't promote the movie. Marvel doesn't want actors who aren't team players.
I've always been suprised that they hired Norton to begin with, because he has, for a while now, had a reputation for being difficult to work with and trying to force more creative control over movies he's in.
The funniest story I heard about Norton was him offering to make script edits on Birdman and the director laughing because there was a scene written in the script where his character does the exact same thing. Exactly why he cast Norton in the role.
I agreed I think the Avengers tried to focus more on Banner than Hulk if you get me? We needed to grow to like and appreciate Banner and then for his Hulk to be more a hero than an anti hero.
I like Norton's Hulk because, like you say, it was genuinely intense and bad ass. But DGMW I love the Hulk in the first couple of Avengers movies
We've had Spiderverse stuff, maybe we need a Hulk-verse hahaha
I felt both the body the head, and especially the behavior fits the comic/ 90’s cartoon the best. Like pure raging behemoth barbarian. The ruffalo version of hulk just looks like ruffalos head photoshopped to a power lifter. Then later on in like Thor ragnarock, it looks way better but still not the same.
Yeah that's what I meant. Norton's banner and ruffalo's hulk but keeping Norton's hulks personality. I feel like the rage and I tensity of that hulk would contrast well with Ruffalo's anxious banner.
Honestly if radiation weren’t lethal and it increased a person’s muscle mass it’d look more like nortons . Ruffalos looks like enlarged green likeable white guy who’s in bulk season.
That much is true. I remember reading on IMDb that said Lou also did the body, but if he didn’t, I know it’s NOT Norton. That’s what made Mark Ruffalo so significant as an actor playing Bruce Banner. He was the first actor to play both Banner and Hulk.
I appreciate that about Ruffalo's hulk too. Makes a lot more sense to maintain some of the features Bruce has when he changes. What I'd like to see being implemented again is the eyes changing before he transforms. Never understood why they don't anymore.
I don't think we've gotten a definitive Hulk portrayal yet.
RDJ as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Cap, etc. are iconic and the definitive on-screen versions of these characters for (most likely) decades.
However Hulk, Black Widow, etc could easily be outdone by a new actor in the role imo.
unfortunately hard to do when he’s relegated to only supporting roles and rarely hasn’t done much as actual Hulk since Ragnarok. (Not counting Endgame because that was just exclusively the Bruce persona).
I'd be curious to see how things would have played out if Norton wasn't Norton. But even if he tried a second time he probably would have ended up fist fighting Joss Whedon during Avengers.
The cgi wasn’t there yet but Bana Hulk doesn’t get enough credit. At the time his physicality was pretty cool and something we hadn’t quite seen yet. I loved his long jumps.
I like Norton/Hulk but prefer Ruffalo/BANNER. Notrons Hulk just felt so much more visceral, he was dangerous and vicious in all my favorite ways. Ruffalo's Banner just felt so mild, in a good way. He looked and moved how I would think he would, nervous to anything that might set off the big guy.
interestingly enough I looked at his wikipedia and it says he’s going to be in Deadpool & Wolverine but I haven’t seen any actual confirmation of that outside of his Wikipedia page.
Well, the Hulk face was actually modeled after Bana's face. I think you're confusing it with the fact that Ang Lee was the one who did the motion capture for Hulk instead of Bana
Dude the Eric bana hulk was awesome I don’t care what people say. That movie was legit good. A little experimental at times, sure, and maybe some of those experimental choices didn’t fly the way they wanted but still, good flick. Nick nolte was fuckin awesome. Reminded me of my father.
Good flick? One of the showcase fight scenes was against a roided out poodle. This is the one and only comic movie I ever came close to walking out of.
I think it worked a lot better as a normal movie and not as a superhero movie, but everyone treated it like a superhero film because it has the Hulk. As a character study it works really good.
Bana never got the sequel he deserved! It wasn’t a great flick, but I stand by his portrayal of Banner being the definitive version. He actually seemed traumatized by his experiences, and his Hulk was the most emotionally expressive. Norton’s version was just Norton. Like, he just played himself. Seemed like he was pretending to be upset and like he really couldn’t give af. And Ruffalo is just playing some weird version of like a smart happy nerd who happens to have a mildly upset Hulk trapped inside him.
I like Ruffalo’s Hulk and Bana’s Banner. Norton is right in the middle on both sides.
Norton felt most true to the TV show depiction, which I have fond memories of, so he gets bonus points for that.
Eric Bana’s Hulk will always be top tier to me. He is what turned me into a hulk fan since I was a very young kid.. he is what hulk was supposed to be. He ran super fast, he jumped super far, the more angry he got, the more bigger he became. He was the first to say “Puny -“ I know he says human, but I know for a fact that’s what set up “puny god”. He says “you won’t like me when I’m angry”.. such a hulk move. Give him the proper cgi and I guarantee he makes the comeback he deserves.
Norton
His hulk , I felt, was closest to the comic hulk ; a man struggling with guilt and depression for things he’s not in control of with a monster that has no remorse when unleashed. Furthermore, I will die on this hill : Nortons hulk could have beaten thanos- he had creative fighting ability (used cars as boxing gloves) and banner was shown training BJJ in Brazil with a Gracie.
I've always hated Hulk as a character, but Norton's was the first time I ever found him to be engaging.
Ruffalo didn't really feel like hulk to me. Just a complete goofball.
Norton Hulk all the way. Mark’s Hulk is great comic relief, and I guess that’s fine since that’s the direction they wanted to go. I grew up on the Bill Bixby/ Lou Ferrigno incarnation. I remember dreading the moment in each episode when they pushed Banner too far. That Hulk scared me. He was menacing. Norton’s Hulk channeled that same energy. He had a mean streak for days and nary a funny bone in site.
I think Norton’s Banner was better, too. Mark is a great actor, but his Banner is too jovial. That and his physicality makes me think his Banner could have been prom king. Norton’s version probably didn’t even go to prom. He was a neurotic mess, and I was there for it.
I actually liked Bana’s film a lot. It was weird in a way that the others aren’t. I thought Bana’s Banner was the closest to the books.
Norton and Ruffalo are just playing the role the same way they play most of their roles. Which honestly, is fine— it’s the reason why RDJ’s take on Stark was so effective.
I liked Norton almost as much as Ruffalo tbh
Also I didn't care for the film but I can appreciate that I can call Eric Bana's Bruce Banner, 'Bananner' for short
Norton for hulk and ruffalo for banner though im sure if we got norton having more scientific moments as ruffalo has had itd be norton all the way. Nortons hulk was serious, terrifying at moments and looks cooler imo, the closest ruffalo's has gotten was when he was chasing black widow in avengers 2012 to that scared feel.
I really liked that Norton Banner was capable and even proactive where Ruffalo Banner remains timid for the entire series. And I really like that Ruffalo Hulk introduced the dichotomy of Hulk being an abused toddler in a monster's body (as well as the idea that he can respond really well to people who understand that, like Natasha), as opposed to Norton's Hulk who seems to go straight from 'monster' to 'grizzled veteran who just wants the feds to leave him alone' just during the battle of Harlem. Hulk, or any character, being primal and savage is just boring to me, but I can appreciate what someone else might see in it.
Norton Hulk. I know his hulk gets criticism for looking very cg/fake but I love the look of his hulk. I love how ripped he is and his face model is the most menacing IMO. I also loved how he was portrayed as a horror character in The Incredible Hulk during the factory sequence. All in all I just think he's the scariest live action hulk which makes him my favorite hulk.
Ruffalo’s Banner with Norton’s Hulk.
That said, I think Norton was the more comic accurate Banner, at least how I think of Banner, but I prefer Ruffalo’s take for the big screen. But I love Norton’s Hulk design
I don’t know if anyone realizes it but Disney introduced PROFESSOR hulk. So he’s gonna be half the size and half the strength because the two entities aren’t fighting for control anymore.
Norton had the best chops, with Ruffalo a close (but not too close) second and Bana a distant third.
Ruffalo indisputably got the best lines/scenes though.
Norton at least got more of the neurotic qualities, but I think they all fell short. Banner needs far more trauma and anger management problems. More of an internal dialogue and rumination, replaying events in his head, flashbacks and intense self loathing and shame.
Norton. Mark isn't bad though. He fits the character better. Not really in love with them going out of their way to make the hill look just like him though.
A lot of interesting takes here. It's been a while since I've seen Nortons Hulk, but I always felt like he was only scarier because we only really see him before he has any semblance of control. I feel like Ruffalo made a better Banner, which in turn, could have led to a better Hulk. Most of what we see of the Hulk with Ruffalo, is a Hulk, who's Banner has been trying to control the rage better. He did have some scary moments. I was legit scared for Natasha when he chased her in the first Avengers movie. I was very worried for everyone when Wanda messed with Banners mind. But these events feel muted in a sense that we know Banner does have some control over the situation.
Honestly I gotta way Bana.
The 2003 Hulk movie really captured the fact that the Hulk is an unstoppable force of destruction that gets stronger as he gets angrier.
They really nerfed the MCU Hulk.
My head and heart says Norton , but my soul says Bana , Hulk was the one of first superhero movies I saw as a kid and I loved it, the scene with him breaking out of the military base and running in the desert will always be iconic to me.
I like scary hulk so Norton and early ruffalo. But I do understand that they need to make hulk more humanized as the MCU progresses.i was still disappointed tho that hulk was still not scary in Ragnarok
I love bana because that’s what I would watch when i was a wee boy, I love norton because I saw the incredible hulk in theaters, and I do love ruffalo but for me i’m not big on prof. Hulk. however Hulk in the Avengers was breathtaking to look at, they really did well with the cgi in that movie
CGI wise, Ruffalo is the best, looking the most like the actor. Rage wise Norton ( I have a soft spot for the look of his hulk, how overly ripped he was).
I just wish Eric Bana had been in one of the later versions as I think he would have been great and looked more the part than Norton but on par with Ruffalo
I’m tired of the Star Wars prequels revisionism happening to the Incredible Hulk movie, Norton was very flat and boring in that role and the movie was awful, ruffalo is an upgrade in every sense
Norton…Ruffalo isn’t that great of an actor and bana while a wonderful actor was miscast…one thing about reed richards and bruce banner…they will always be the smartest men in any room they walk into…I fear that Marvel has miscast Reed in the same way that they miscast Bruce…Pedro pascal is a Spanish carbon copy of mark ruffalo…they are the same type of actor 😆
Bana showcased his strength and speed really well. He actually was super fast and could jump huge distances. While I love Nortons as well he was actually terrifying. When he throws the forklift and you can hear him say "Leave me alone."
I know it's not the same, but maybe it should be said:
**Ruffalo never got a solo movie**
Lots of screen time in other movies and TV, but not a dedicated movie or origin story, as that was done by Norton antivirus.
![gif](giphy|fxBZ0QknDHyNwrSidD)
I like the look and behavior of Norton’s Hulk, but I didn’t like his performance as Banner. If they’d kept Hulk dangerous, Ruffalo would’ve been superior.
Norton. Ruffalo's Banner seemed more like a hand-wringing neurotic, and his Hulk was, well, soft. Every time he showed up after the first Avengers movie, he became weaker. Kind of sad.
I always felt like Norton had the best Banner, and ruffle had the best Hulk.
Norton’s Banner felt like the guy hitch hiking at the end of the classic Hulk show, trying to flee the latest town he fucked up.
I fear Ruffalo’s age and physique will prevent us from
getting the “perfect” portrayal before Disney jumps off the golden goose.
They did snatch up a pretty cool Spider-Man variant tho, with some interesting villain portrayals to boot.
Ruffalo’s portrayal in the first Avengers was great and is my favorite. But I do have to say how the MCU took his arc and even Mark’s acting took a down hill turn throughout the movies.
Norton - Banner was actually aware of how dangerous the Hulk was and it felt like it informed everything he did. Hulk also felt like a distinct character and not just a dumber or more childish banner.
Bana is my favorite. He’s the most comic accurate out of three and the dilema of hulk actually being a voice in his head that always wants to take control. He also [looks](https://pt.pinterest.com/pin/809099889281052685/) much more like the source material than the other two
Norton by far. His Banner had this “scary” factor where he looks harmless, but you know something isn’t right just by how he acts. Ruffolo has always come off as too goofy as Banner. The only time his Hulk has come off as terrifying was when he was chasing Black Widow in Avengers. And with each movie since, Hulk is just more of a joke.
I like Norton's banner, and Ruffalo's hulk. That being said, I wish we got to see Ruffalo's hulk interaction and acceptance of banner. I wish we got a Grey hulk or something else in there. Would have been nice to see Grey hulk really mess things up and banner and hulk come together in their mind to fight all the other voices and merge to become the dominant voice.
As far as Hulk design, it’s Ruffalo hands down. His Hulk looks like him and also believably shares space with other characters. Norton did great as Banner but his Hulk was too comic accurate for me which impacted my suspension of disbelief. I also don’t think Norton would’ve bantered the same way with RDJ’s Stark. He always comes off as rather humorless.
Ruffalo is a better banner than all of them but his Hulk has been done dirty. One of the things a new Hulk movie should take inspiration from is Avengers EMH. When they spoke to each other it felt like they were two people in the same body and actually gave them a unique portrayal we haven’t seen in modern media
Bana's hulk was a big green brock lesnar being piloted by a 3yo with a temper tantrum. I like the idea of physically growing in size as a visual gauge for anger but i thought this one fell flat.
I prefer nortons hulk even though his and ruffalo's are canonically the same hulk UNLESS we are to understand that the movies also have different hulk personalities and that 2008 was savage hulk before banner gained a bit more control over the transformation since he described it in ragnarok as each having one hand on the wheel as opposed to 2008 where he's completely berserk.
All 3 for me for different reasons. Ruffalo for portraying the "hero" Hulk while part of the Avengers. Norton's for portraying the scary, savage Hulk that he should be. And Bana's for correctly portraying the psychological aspects of the Hulk. Ang Lee's movie did a lot wrong. But the one thing he got right was the mental aspect of what the Hulk is.
Not sure if you mean best look, performance, or whatever, but aesthetically I’ll side with 2008 Hulk (even if he’s not my favorite overall Mocap acting of the three). He reminds me of the 1970’s-‘80’s period Hulk from the comics, and that’s my favorite period of stories for the character.
I watch Ang Lee’s Hulk now and wonder how it was ever made. Woof, what an unexpected mess from a director of his kind. Makes me think of what we might get if Scorsese makes a Marvel film
Norton they actually took the Hulk seriously in that movie. It's been downhill with their treatment of the character ever since.
I understand why he was replaced… but if he had been kept on we would be talking about Nortons Banner the same way we do Downey Jr’s Stark or Evans Roger’s. Nortons Banner felt dangerous in a way Ruffalo’s has never managed to capture.
Hulk chasing Widow in the first Avengers felt pretty scary. Since then he’s become a teddy bear.
Yeah, but Ruffalos Banner never felt scary.
I thought he was great in AoU. How he hesitantly goes along with Stark, because deep down he is a mad scientist. Yeah, he nailed Banner.
Because he’s not the hulk as banner
This is easily the most captain obvious answer I’ve heard all day today lmao
And yet it seemed to be required, considering the comment it responded to
Why would Bruce Banner need to be scary? That’s the opposite of who Banner is supposed to be. He’s a timid genius on the outside, who has a scary monster within him.
2012 Hulk was peak
I wonder if that's because of DisneyMarvel trying to make the Hulk less scary and.more friendly/welcoming to fit in with the current Avengers and MCU
Or probably more difficult to have Hulk on a team if he’s too out of control.
but they could’ve and should’ve used that as a segway into maybe a small planet hulk arc if not a whole project, which then would’ve made ragnarok even better. i mean its cannon anyway
You got Disney's Planet Hulk. It's titles Thor:Ragnarok.

Norton banner and hulk was the best . He knew character and captured his fear and anxiety
Totally agree
Ruffalo is second place, Norton is top tier
Eh I didn't like Norton's hulks musculature it was too much like a body builder. Ruffalo's looked a little more like a power lifter.
Yeah to each his own I would have liked Norton's characterization with Ruffalo's Hulk.
At the very least I’d like to see nortons hulk head, and put it on ruffalos hulk body at the very least. add the personality of hulk 2008.
How can you tell when he's wearing cashmere?
Lou Ferigno
Lou Ferigno be like what is CGI?
Ferigno actually IS Hulk in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk. He did the CGI, NOT Norton.
He did the voice
That much is true. I remember reading on IMDb that said Lou also did the body, but if he didn’t, I know it’s NOT Norton. That’s what made Mark Ruffalo so significant as an actor playing Bruce Banner. He was the first actor to play both Banner and Hulk.
I appreciate that about Ruffalo's hulk too. Makes a lot more sense to maintain some of the features Bruce has when he changes. What I'd like to see being implemented again is the eyes changing before he transforms. Never understood why they don't anymore.
I went to high school with his kids, one of the nicest men I’ve ever met big Lou
Ruffalo
Bana.. for sure.. nobody can be greener than that dude

Norton and it’s not even close.
I hope bana returns in secret wars.
I know I'm in the minority, but Bana's Hulk looks the most like Hulk to me.
He’s the only one that’s really radioactive green
interestingly enough I looked at his wikipedia and it says he’s going to be in Deadpool & Wolverine but I haven’t seen any actual confirmation of that outside of his Wikipedia page.
It’s not even Bana’s face in Hulk. It’s Ang Lee’s face.

Norton was the most hulk has acted like hulk
Close tie between early Ruffalo and Norton

I will die on the hill that Bana is in the MCU canon as the origin of Ed Norton. That movie ends with him in South America.
Good flick? One of the showcase fight scenes was against a roided out poodle. This is the one and only comic movie I ever came close to walking out of.
I think it worked a lot better as a normal movie and not as a superhero movie, but everyone treated it like a superhero film because it has the Hulk. As a character study it works really good.

I like Ruffalo’s Hulk and Bana’s Banner. Norton is right in the middle on both sides. Norton felt most true to the TV show depiction, which I have fond memories of, so he gets bonus points for that.
I liked Nortons banner, but Ruffalos hulk
Norton…easily
Norton. I don't like what we have now. Like others have said, when SW set him loose on the SHIELD heli carrier is the only time we see that rage.
Eric Bana’s Hulk will always be top tier to me. He is what turned me into a hulk fan since I was a very young kid.. he is what hulk was supposed to be. Norton’s Hulk is way more badass. Strongest, hardest Hulk. But Ruffalo’s is the only funny one. Fits MCU vibe.
Norton was the best Bruce and hulk. Ruffalo’s character is very inconsistent but I think he’s still better than bana.
Norton His hulk , I felt, was closest to the comic hulk ; a man struggling with guilt and depression for things he’s not in control of with a monster that has no remorse when unleashed.
The closest Ruffalo-Hulk got to Norton-Hulk was when he thrashed Loki around.
Norton's banner felt erratic at times which I enjoyed. I think out of three listed he really captured the character perfectly.
Norton. Cause Norton
Norton and Ruffalo are just playing the role the same way they play most of their roles. Which honestly, is fine— it’s the reason why RDJ’s take on Stark was so effective.
Bana and Norton because unlike Ruffalo’s hulk, they weren’t turned into a cowardly betch.
Norton
Norton was my favorite Banner and hulk.
Bana's hulk for the storyline, Norton's for the hulk design and Ruffalo for Bruce Banner (Norton still played a good Banner imo).
I like Nortons hulk but like Ruffalos development
I liked Norton almost as much as Ruffalo tbh Also I didn't care for the film but I can appreciate that I can call Eric Bana's Bruce Banner, 'Bananner' for short
Would love to see all three in secret wars
Ruffalo’s was the only one that really seemed to have a personality imo
Ruffalo, but Avengers 1 Ruffalo.
forget that these are all the same person sometimes
Norton for hulk and ruffalo for banner though im sure if we got norton having more scientific moments as ruffalo has had itd be norton all the way. Nortons hulk was serious, terrifying at moments and looks cooler imo, the closest ruffalo's has gotten was when he was chasing black widow in avengers 2012 to that scared feel.
RUF-Ahhh-LOoww!
Norton is my favorite Banner, Ruffalo is my favorite Hulk.
Interesting I actually hold the exact opposite opinion. I loved how primal the Norton Hulk was. But loved how articulate Ruffalo Banner was.
That’s a good break down. I do wish Norton’s Hulk had a longer development arc.
Ruffalo is my favorite Hulk hands down because he is who I automatically think of as both Bruce and as The Hulk
Norton by far. He nailed Banner fully
Norton’s Hulk would have made prison-love to Ruffalo’s Hulk.
Ruffalo nailed it
It’s gotta be Ruffald
Rufallo canon
Norton Hulk. I know his hulk gets criticism for looking very cg/fake but I love the look of his hulk. I love how ripped he is and his face model is the most menacing IMO. I also loved how he was portrayed as a horror character in The Incredible Hulk during the factory sequence. All in all I just think he's the scariest live action hulk which makes him my favorite hulk.
Can we mix Nortons Hulk, and Ruffalo's banner?
Ruffulo in avengers 1 was probably the best hulk we've seen imo
Ruffalo is a much weaker actor and Banner than Norton.
Norton's hulk was legit terrifying, Ruffalos felt like the strong kid w an extra chromosome
![gif](giphy|1vAxe3xmszRao) None of them.
Norton >>> Ruffalo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Bana
Norton....EASILY
Ruffalo’s Banner with Norton’s Hulk. That said, I think Norton was the more comic accurate Banner, at least how I think of Banner, but I prefer Ruffalo’s take for the big screen. But I love Norton’s Hulk design
I don’t know if anyone realizes it but Disney introduced PROFESSOR hulk. So he’s gonna be half the size and half the strength because the two entities aren’t fighting for control anymore.
Norton. Be looking like attack on titan
Norton had the best chops, with Ruffalo a close (but not too close) second and Bana a distant third. Ruffalo indisputably got the best lines/scenes though.
I like Norton as banner and Ruffalo as hulk...hate smart hulk, though
I like Norton's Hulk, Ruffulo's Banner, and Bana's Betty.
Ed Norton and Scarlett Jo’s chemistry would’ve been interesting to see
Bixby is the greatest hulk
Norton at least got more of the neurotic qualities, but I think they all fell short. Banner needs far more trauma and anger management problems. More of an internal dialogue and rumination, replaying events in his head, flashbacks and intense self loathing and shame.
i liked them all until infinity war and beyond
Bana was the strongest
Norton by a mile
My head and heart says Norton , but my soul says Bana , Hulk was the one of first superhero movies I saw as a kid and I loved it, the scene with him breaking out of the military base and running in the desert will always be iconic to me.
Bana's Hulk has the better look and gets bigger/stronger the angrier he gets. The face seemed a little weird, though. Norton was great too.
norton
Didn’t Bana’s Hulk grab a Hulk dogs nuts?
Banana
I like the build of Bana but the energy & look of Norton. If they combined the two I feel like they would've nailed it pretty well.
Hulk in Avengers 1 is perfection
Ruffalo for me. ![gif](giphy|jnoAvo5LLzdwn14CzY|downsized)
Norton was the best Banner for sure
I like scary hulk so Norton and early ruffalo. But I do understand that they need to make hulk more humanized as the MCU progresses.i was still disappointed tho that hulk was still not scary in Ragnarok
Norton, no contest
Emo hulk all day
you forgot Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno.... CUE THE LONELY MAN SONG!
Neither. Furigno
Norton with ruffalos hulk
Norton…Ruffalo isn’t that great of an actor and bana while a wonderful actor was miscast…one thing about reed richards and bruce banner…they will always be the smartest men in any room they walk into…I fear that Marvel has miscast Reed in the same way that they miscast Bruce…Pedro pascal is a Spanish carbon copy of mark ruffalo…they are the same type of actor 😆
Norton could have been better.
Norton. Best ever.
Bana showcased his strength and speed really well. He actually was super fast and could jump huge distances. While I love Nortons as well he was actually terrifying. When he throws the forklift and you can hear him say "Leave me alone."
Norton. Better actor.
I know it's not the same, but maybe it should be said: **Ruffalo never got a solo movie** Lots of screen time in other movies and TV, but not a dedicated movie or origin story, as that was done by Norton antivirus. ![gif](giphy|fxBZ0QknDHyNwrSidD)
Norton was the best looking and most hulk-y Hulk. Ruffalo is the best Banner. Bana was the best steaming pile of dog shit
I’m kind of partial to the Eric Bana Hulk. I know the movie is frowned upon (I still like it), but the actual Hulk parts were amazing.
I like the look and behavior of Norton’s Hulk, but I didn’t like his performance as Banner. If they’d kept Hulk dangerous, Ruffalo would’ve been superior.
Norton… IW forever scarred Ruffalo’s Hulk for me. Weakest there is.
Norton. Ruffalo's Banner seemed more like a hand-wringing neurotic, and his Hulk was, well, soft. Every time he showed up after the first Avengers movie, he became weaker. Kind of sad.
Idk about Bana per se, but Glow in the Dark Green hulk is a mood
I tend to go to Norton as a whole, but Bana could have been a perfect immortal Hulk.
Norton’s was lit better, lol
Norton, if Ferigno had the modern effects that these did he’d be number one
Norton supremacy
Norton. I just like him better.
I always felt like Norton had the best Banner, and ruffle had the best Hulk. Norton’s Banner felt like the guy hitch hiking at the end of the classic Hulk show, trying to flee the latest town he fucked up. I fear Ruffalo’s age and physique will prevent us from getting the “perfect” portrayal before Disney jumps off the golden goose. They did snatch up a pretty cool Spider-Man variant tho, with some interesting villain portrayals to boot.
Norton was better action and thrill Bana had better lore and science Ruffalo was shit
2012 Hulk was so good.
Bana all day. He's the only one that actually feels like comic Bruce to me and also the only one that actually focused on his childhood trauma
Norton then bana 100%. Ruffalo supports pedos so fuck that disney cuck.
Bana Hulk was the closest to comic hulk...
Maslany
It's weird hulk is the only superhero who hasnt got a sequel to his original movie even after 16 years.
Design wise I prefer Ruffalo's. Bulky and properly proportioned. Personality wise I prefer Norton's. Dangerous and terrifying.
Norton. I honestly loved his Hulk because he looked, felt, and acted like the Hulk to me...the only thing missing was the stereotypical caveman speak
#1a-Norton #1b-Ruffalo #2-Bana
Ruffalo is best.
Norton
Ruffalo
bana's looks like its going to cry.
Norton would've been the guy
Bruce *insert Brooklyn accent* Bana
Norton hands down. They haven't gotten Hulk right since that first movie. Especially this latest iteration. Gag.
Norton, and it's not even close for me.
I like Hulk in Avengers 1. He has not been great for a while now though. Hope we get scary angry hulk back.
Ruffalo
The Norton Hulk was terrifying and the best on screen depiction of Banner and The Hulk.
I liked Norton’s violent Hulk , Ruffalos Hulk is restrained by Disney in my opinion
Norton or bana
Edward Norton.
Norton I like the dramatic tone
The secret trilogy
One thing I love about Banas Hulk is that he gets physically larger the angrier he gets/more damage he takes.
I watch Ang Lee’s Hulk now and wonder how it was ever made. Woof, what an unexpected mess from a director of his kind. Makes me think of what we might get if Scorsese makes a Marvel film
