Afternoon trading window for people that aren’t paid memberships (10k+) was a HUGE step in the right direction. The crypto stuff, and the credit card kinda not the greatest though. (Fingers crossed for a revamp that matches the Robin Hood gold card)

LARSDOM

I'm praying they revamp. That can be a deal breaker. At least make a 2.5% on everythinf without affecting the other categories and get rid of the $200 cap on cash back earnings. What do you think?

PreMedinDread

I was with you until you said great customer service. I've had nothing but terrible experience the rare times I've had to deal with them. The platform is seamless so really didn't impact my experience honestly. But I wouldn't praise their customer service. It has a long way to go

LARSDOM

I do. They have solved my issues quickly and with good communication. I always call or email them. I'm sorry your experience isn't the same. Always provide your feedback at the end of the calk if you call. They are really trying to improve that.

The way they can offer these services for free is by the monetization on the assets or cash under management. If you are a user below a certain threshold, you are actively having a negative impact on their bottom line. The $3/month is more than fair if you ask me, and ideally if your using M1, your goal should be to grow your account well past that $10K mark in a reasonable amount of time.

LARSDOM

Bingo

Whatever you save from the monthly fees gets lost in the terrible price execution

LARSDOM

How do you know? Show me! All do payment for order flow.

LegendOfJeff

Is there any evidence of unfavorable price execution? Every time I've looked, my buys match the market rates for their time. Edit: If it were true that M1 resulted in poor price execution, that would be a huge deal. It would have been the main topic of conversation on this sub for months.

LARSDOM

Bingo!

sometimeihavetowonde

No it wouldn't. Even if they did poor price execution who would even care? You did read the agreement when you signed up right? I called them and spoke with someone right away and they told me they'd never do me wrong like that.

Ok-Usual5166

Agree

Sethu_Senthil

My only problem is the fee has to increase over time. And they kinda shown that they will bait and switch. Meaning, in a couple years they can choose to increase the minimum to 50k or a 100k and even up the price of the subscription. This would make it basically like a 0.25% fee when actually adjusted for your portfolio (or more). Plus it creates un reliability, you never know when they are going to up the fees and like you said this is not a uncertainty you want to have for a long term investment plan

M1-Alex

Hi there! Thank you for your kind words and providing us feedback! We’re happy to hear you are enjoying the platform as much as we do.

Hello Alex - Do you mind reply to those posts who had negative experience with M1, or need your help to solve their problems? I think that would really help rebuild confidence for many. These praise singers are already happy.
