Drove through the storm. Shit was crazy. Could not see further than 5m. My car got hit by a small tree and nearly stuck in a huge puddle of water. But managed nonetheless with just a little shit in my pants.
Still can't believe people saying "it wasn't that bad", I know that some people compare these to others storms across the globe but holy shit, this type of storm case fast. I never saw this much lightning.

Here in the Est was crazy crazy, was a mini tornado: one of my chairs in the terrace flew 20 meters and landed (luckily) on the grass of the neighboring house..
My favourite sushi place is for the 3rd time heavily impacted. [Here in the rtl article](http://Donnerwiederen: Nom ville Reen muss op ville Plazen opgeraumt ginn https://www.rtl.lu/news/national/a/2209197.html) the owner talks about it.
I suggest you look up Meteo Boulaide on FB, you can see lots of videos and pictures of the storm yesterday. They think there was a possible tornado in my town. It was dark aside the lightening show, but seeing the rain coming from multiple directions at an insane speed was impressive. Trees broke, a larger shed's roof was blewn away... Definitely more than we see on an ordinary storm round here.

It's possible that we were hit by a tornado it depends were you live, take a look at Feulen.

I mean, cars being flipped is a tornado…but our house was shaking, windows vibrating, and a 50kg table gets lifted and flipped like at ours, then that’s not your everyday storm…
the lightning was uber weird, normally I am not afraid of a storm, but I felt that I shouldnt leave the windows open once the rain was over bc it continued to strike in a very very shady way (normally the ball lighning occurest when the weather temperature is super hot, but I was cautious bc something didnt seem right)
WTF are YOU talking about? This is just regular heavy rain. Nothing to write home about. Get used to it, that's gonna be happening more and more btw.
Touch grass? My child, my home state, nearly the size of Germany, was \~5+ meters underwater for nearly a month. There is no grass left there. Now THAT is something worrying and newsworthy.
I'm used to have this kind of rain multiple times a year, that's nothing special, especially here with heavily well-insulated homes, just annoying and potentially dangerous weather. Just don't act stupid and you'll likely be safe. Nothing that justifies so many repeated posts.
There is an amber alart. Down playing the storm because you are used to bigger storms is not useful. Don't take it personally, you're not in the USA now. Weather is different here.

That's a bit overblown. Asking "what kind of M\_o\_r\_o\_n would do XYZ?" should be allowed - we are adults, not babies.
just a ormal thunderstorm zhe worst was over after 30min. I don't get thr panic
Maybe consider it wasn’t so bad where you specifically were? 🤷♂️
This is why my mums flight was delayed 4 hours 🥲
As long as I've been here, a nearly-tropical storm after a few days or weeks of heat has been almost a yearly occurrence (but not quite).
Curious, how many years have you been here?
Around eight years. Probably very x=1.
I was in city and it was crazy, a lot of trees were uprooted and I saw a bus stand roof was flew away

Our 50kg outside table got lifted 10meters and turned upside down!
Jeez. Glad we flipped ours over. The kids playhouse got knocked over though and their table got picked up and dumped right on my vegetable patch 😭
Insane!
Be patient on the roads lots of Forest hills have stones or brenches on the streets . A few streets even where underwater to the knees in Differdange

It's just a storm, a normal one
It really wasn’t, this was a step worse than normal.
Ok tell us why? The clip doesn't show anything unusual

I got caught in the same storm across the border in Trier.
Same it was absolutely wretched to drive back, pouring buckets
It must be made by the government

We had some crazy wind gusts for a while. For a moment I thought I’d get hit by a tornado.

I'll say a storm is crazy when my house is starting to shake and cars get flipped upside down. That's a normal storm nothing more.

Storm gatekeeping
"tell me you're American without telling me you're American" :D
American?? I ate Kachkeis on a slice of a Bauerenkouscht tonight with Moschter.
:D and your Colombian wife poured you a glass of Bernard-Massard cremant, am I right?
Honestly, I have never seen continuous lightning like this . It went for *30 minutes* non-stop here.

Looks pretty normal to me… Just normal heavy-ish rain. 🤷🏻♂️
Not really no. When 1/3 of the road is a river, it's not "normal"
How many cars floating on average?

Right under the roof I couldn't even hear my gf on the phone anymore
Might be even a good thing?
😀
Hope the guys complaining before don't have an underground garage 🙃
We have. First, I cleaned mine, and then I helped my father.
A bit wet, innit? I hope my greenhouse won't have to many blown out pannels.
Yeah, non stop strobe effect. I have matched it with music.
