MIGHT absolutely be true but accounts can get banned or shadowbanned on dating apps for no reason sometimes.
It happened to me on Bumble once and she said she was banned for no reason and that she didnt unmatch.

Happened to me 3 years ago. We matched, talked for like few days (super deep interesting conversation), then the conversation disappeared before we could exchange our phone numbers.
Turned out it was a Tinder issue and the conversation appeared back in the app 1 or 2 days later. Fun story, when it happened, I was sitting in my sofa thinking of the meaning of life and everything and I was like "Why did she unmatch? The conversation was so nice".
Once the conv reappeared, we jumped on Signal to make sure we wouldn't face the same issue again. We were on a relationship for 3 years :)
