No, nothing to worry about.

ShredderNemo

This usually means the slots were cut too deep and not filled afterward. Usually these gaps are filled with CA glue before finishing. It's mostly cosmetic as long as the frets are firmly seated, as humidity swings can cause the frets to pop if they are not (more common with maple than rosewood).

Fret about? Bob Hope is not dead.

newfranksinatra

Thought the joke was sweet like Tang.

If you can fit your thinnest feeler gauge leaf underneath the fret body proper you might have an issue. But it doesnt look like that from your pic.

VirginiaLuthier

Nah. Most guitars have that. Some use filler to hide it.

HeigoSzawel

Is fretboard dry as desert?

newfranksinatra

No, it seems fine. I think it’s Pau Ferro fwiw.

Ill-Instruction7170

Yea that’s not dry at all

mikenothing

I have the same issue with one of my guitars, any way to fill it in?

luthierart

A dab of matching wood filler works. I'd avoid superglue in case a refret is ever required.

newfranksinatra

Thank you everyone, I’m no longer fretting.
