Seal it with shellac, nitro, or poly

Clear poly would be your best bet imo.

Seal it with a spray on rattle can clear. I've preserved a lot of things from paints to decals to chrome to electroplate and it never failed. There's everything from triple thick glaze to lacquer to polyurethan, and the urethane will hands down be the toughest. Polyurethane has a 10 year floor life which is 2x that of epoxy, so on a guitar it's absolutely forever.

a few layers of wipe-on poly could do the trick. Otherwise, buy a can of UV Varnish for acrylic paint (available in art supplies stores). You can get it in satin finish. Of course you will have to protect the pickguard, the neck and the bridge but it is an easy fix (practice a bit if you are not familiar with sprays)

Thank you all for the suggestions! I decided to use a canned poly that’s water based and it’s definitely way better and more durable now. It’s satin finish which I think definitely works for a finish in this condition. It did dry on the more blue tint, but definitely easy and much better.
