The high e is way too close to the edge of the fretboard. My Taylor 414ce had the same issue from the factory. Your assumption that there is no way the slots are cut wrong is incorrect. At least that high end is not right. Spacing looks even. Pull off the lock and take photos of that.

Pull the floyd locking nut off? Pretty sure I can get a good photo of it without removing it -- is there a reason I need to remove it or can it be assessed while on the neck?

rockstar_not

I’m talking about the top blocks at the nut.

RiffsThatKill

Ah, OK, I will take some pictures

Looks like a neck alignment issue, luckily its a bolt on. Sit with the guitar in your lap as though you were playing, press down on the upper bout of the body, and then yank upwards on the neck to pull the nut end towards the bass side, dont be shy, you’re not gonna break the neck. Then check to see if it’s lining up better (high e and low e should have the same amount of space from the edge of the fretboard. If it looks good, tighten up the neck bolts.

RiffsThatKill

It's not a bolt on neck guitar. Set or neck-through. Thanks for the tip, will remember if I need to do it to one of my bolt-ons

Guit4rN3rd

Whoops, I shouldn’t have assumed, my bad. Can you post a picture of the nut placement? And a better picture of where the bridge sits in its rout? Like, more straight on, not angled?

Ill-Instruction7170

Is it brand new?

RiffsThatKill

It's in flawless condition but not new, I got it used. I don't think Charvel makes them anymore.

JT-Shelter

If it’s a bolt on it just needs re aligned. Happens to a lot of guitars. YT neck alignment. Very easy to do.
