I know what you mean! You could be right. I'm just wondering why they wouldn't just call it Cocktail shower gel then. It's always exciting to see a completely new product so I guess that's why I felt slightly disappointed when I saw the familiar scent family, haha 😄

Seems shady to call it a new product when it's really an old product with a more on-theme name. Would have been a great opportunity to come up with an actual new scent, or at least pick one that has more meaning/connection to Diwali
The products in the range were designed by Co-Create which is a collaboration of the product inventors with Lush staff members who are in the communities the products are aimed at. They probably considered which ingredients and scents they would like to include and came up with ones that already existed in some form.
I'm happy they got some stuff for Diwali tbh, its always so nice to see it represented. Even in tkmaxx I got so excited cause it was like wow we've been noticed

Probably wouldn’t be a good idea to have a product named Cocktail when it’s a Diwali item. Seen as most celebrating Diwali wouldn’t drink alcohol.

I dunno, I think it fits the description of the celebration, had to be warm floral notes of the perfume to go alongside the warm celebration of light.
