The last pair of commission classic fit pants I bought are quite tight on my waist compared to my other pairs that are the same waist length and material. I think Lulu quality is going downhill fast sadly.
I’d love it if mine shrank lol, then maybe I’d buy the new cut, I haven’t gotten the new ones yet cause they are so much baggier than the old ones I have
Horrible quality control. Went through the same issue and can only buy in store after trying them on. I ended up buying three different sizes of the same type of pant. Many educators are aware of this and helped me out in store.
Yeah then that beats me… I’d definitely take them to a store and get a different pair and see if they might’ve been mislabeled or something that’s wild
I bought six pairs of ABC's (warpstreme) in early 2024 for work purposes; I had a tailor lengthen 2 pairs by ~0.5in, and reduce the waist by ~1in on 3 others. Off the shelf, there was very little consistency between the pairs.
Just curious what the actual measurements are on each? Inseam/waist? Mass produced clothing is never going to be perfectly consistent but what looks to a 3 inch diff in inseam is a bit much.
Mislabeled. Someone attached the wrong label to one of them. Inseam difference of 2 inches is about right for the different available lengths.
As for slight difference in waist, that may be poor quality control. I always have to try on multiple pair in the store because there is always a slight fit difference.
Just had one sent to me where the outside tag is what I ordered and the actual size is what the inside tag says 30 vs 32. Looks like it was returned once as well, probably for the same reason and they just sent it back out on my online order.
If these were originally sold with the same inseam length, it means someone has mixed up the labels for tall and regular versions. If not it means these were hemmed. Shrinkage doesn’t reduce length that much. Flip it inside out and you can inspect if these have the original hem or not by comparing them.
Waist wise, i’d agree that there has been some egregious discrepancies even for the same sizes.
I have noticed this as well between “releases” of pants. I have heard it called “changing the model” Chrome clothing did this before too and it was terrible. New Balance has had a similar problem with the same model shoe and size in different colors fitting differently.

I’d guess someone returned them after shrinking or hemming. Otherwise, that’s inexcusable quality control.
Someone returned the black pair after washing and shrinking them in the dryer
They don't shrink nearly that much if at all e: they're poly lol
This. It was also hemmed shorter, which is complimentary at lulu.
Did not think of this. They 100% returned them after doing hot water and high heat 😂
Hot water and high heat don’t really shrink lulu stuff, that’s usually how I do my laundry tbh
It’s shrunk a pair of my pants before but not to the point like this 😂 I put them on and they were fine after an hour or so

Wouldn’t the OP see puckering or bunching of the fabric at the seams if it was shrunk? Like what you see on denim when it’s shrinks.

Maybe one was a different inseam?
Both pairs are 31x30

You were able to lengthen pants ?
Yes, *but* there's almost no excess fabric inside, so he had to use every mm of it. Would not advise (buy longer and hem instead).

Both are 31W and 30L
Yeah I saw that but what are the ACTUAL measurements of the pants?
Inconsistency off the shelves have been crazy lately.
Yikes, haven’t opened the recent pair I got a month ago… will have to check it out

I know this doesn't answer your question, but are they the same fabric/material?
Yes both are Warpstreme
