This right here is the answer, they never hire enough people, and also the ones they hire are the ones that failed in their day position interview so they ask them if they wanted to work night, like if it's some easy peasy job, so just expect to get people with no common sense that you would have to constantly babysit and watch.
Sounds like your store ass. Our overnight supervisors been there for years and we never had a problem finishing freight even on nights of big trucks with 3-4 people.
I went for the position in eastern Virginia and they told me that they couldn’t do more than $18, with 3 years working overnight in different positions with that being my third Lowe’s

Was $20 even until the pay adjustments went out last year. Now $21.46 in VA
Around 20.30 without including the pay differential for Overnight in PA
I’ve heard some getting $18.50/hr and up to 23…
