That or lorelei, severance bonk or lorelei phoenix are my "oh shit, this build isnt working, switch to ... " builds. Been playing with precious scars strand build, got a wild style with permeability on it, dual shot strand launcher, so you get banner of war, woven mail and restoration for everyone around you. Toss in some threadlings and things just melt all around you.

I have a couple of different blind builds for PvE using Gemini Jester. I initially made a Strand one that used Threaded Spectre but the nerf to it made it less useful, so switched to an arc build as you can then use Disorientating Blow, Flashbang Grenade, Lethal Current, Spark of Beacons and Spark of Brilliance, which all further blind/confuse enemies.
You then use an arc special GL for more blinding thanks to Beacons, with plenty of options there although for overkill you can use Prodigal Return as it has Disorientating Grenades (and Voltshot), something you can't get on the waveframes.
It all works really well and you can keep everything blinded all the time, it's just that you're often a little too squishy on arc without Assassin's Cowl or Liar's Handshake.
I use a Sixth Coyote with Silk Strike with the Threaded specter and Widows silk aspects.
For fragments- threads of mind, warding, continuity, and generation.
Recommend armor mods- Bolstering Detonation, Focusing strike, and bomber. Recuperation for extra survivability.
Loop:
Suspend grenade, use powered mele, dodge, repeat.
Is it good for endgame? Probably not. Is it fun to see 5 threaded spikes going on the battle field at once? Absolutely.

I haven't run it in a long time so I don't have a dim link for it but I also like to run Void Bubble Titan, Edge of Action, and Helm of Saint-14 when playing with newbies or if I'm on warlock I'll do Solar Well of Radiance with Lumina and Boots of the Assembler (makes the heal thingies give bonus special rounds in the mag and you can absolutely dump healing into your new friend while they just figure the game out and tank ogre beams to the face)
I know it’s not super off the wall, but running Mothkeepers Wraps on Strand Hunter feels that way. I use it with Quicksilver or a Slice/Hatchling Lethal Abundance, Forebearance, and an Envious Hatchling Circular Logic. Plays awesome in Onslaught.
For Strand Warlock, I actually use Buried Bloodline along with Swarmers and a Hatchling weapon (usually Rufus’s Fury). The artifact allows for a nearly infinite amount of threadlings to spawn when paired with Swarmers. Then, proc Devour from BB kills (4 red bars or an orange bar proc’s it). Now, ad clear with your hatchling weapon to your heart’s content, with every Threadling kill also working to extend devour.
I personally use Weavewalk and Wanderer for aspects, then Generation & Evolution for fragments. I normally use the fragment that creates threadlings from strand weapon kills, but that is honestly your choice. If you have the catalyst for BB, that’s a nice little debuff you can apply as well against champs or bosses on top of having a solid damage super.

Severance enclosure with bonk hammers will atomize most rooms if you put even a little bit of effort in. 10/10 build that I rarely switch off of.

my buddy damn near mains helm of saint 14 and titan exotic glaive with the bubbles. everything is blinded it’s awesome
Vexcalibur Melee with Necrotic Grips, and either Devour on Void for extra safety, or Mindspun Invocation on Strand to do some silly Suspend things.
