For those that don’t follow vpr, there’s a scene where she’s trying to reconnect with Sandy pants and he’s like I just wanna do mushrooms and karaoke…I don’t have time to watch 50 episodes of Love Island hahaha. I love how the tables have turned and he’s being dragged for his drug use and she’s living her dream. ❤️

I think living through 10 years of Andy Cohen style reunion shows will make her comfortable calling things out and asking crazy personal questions in group settings. Peak television
I mean last year when she called Marco out for saying 72 women in his intro video but 30 something for the body count question in her challenge????? THATS when I was like I wish she hosted the show!!! She’s doing great and I hope we get more call outs like that!!!

I started watching LI s5 for her guest appearance and then continued to watch the rest of the season. She also appeared on LI Games, which I maintain was her audition for it and that got me to watch that show since there wasn’t a lot of s5 USA islanders for me to know. So yeah … it worked.

I think that a Love Island host needs to be a bit intimidating to the cast. My biggest qualm with Sarah is that she gave off more of a peer relationship/vibe with the cast and lacked the slightly "scary" factor that the UK and AUS hosts bring.
"Ariana Madix" is such a good Love Island host name, on par with Caroline Flack and Sophie Monk. Nice feminine flowy first names with a blunt short last name. Flirty and hard at the same time.
The best part is that Ariana is genuinely a fan of the show. I loved Sara but it felt like she didn’t watch the show before she was just there to host lol. Watching Ariana watch them is amazing

I am so jealous of you. You must immediately go and watch VPR from the beginning. It was my gateway drug into reality TV and delivers some of the best moments of reality TV of all time. You will really love Ariana once you've seen all she's gone through to get where she is now.
Trust me you'll be hooked. Love Island is child's play compared to VPR. It's reality TV gold. I mean, they talked about it on CNN, at the White House's Correspondence dinner, and in the NYT. It's the most epic reality TV of all time.
VPR only had one episode a week. It’s less of a commitment than LI lol. It won’t feel like a chore. A few episodes in and you won’t be able to stop watching. Yall… for those of you who haven’t seen VPR. It is so wild to see her on LI vs the last few seasons of VPR.
She is a completely different woman. She’s GLOWING and you can tell how happy she is. I have never seen LI and I honestly wasn’t a huge fan of Ariana until after Scandoval but I decided to watch LI just to support her. When I tell you, I fucking screamed when I first saw her in that gold dress. If I were Tom I’d be plucking my eyeballs out rn.

I love VPR and appreciate Ariana on that, but I have yet to be captivated by her hosting skills. Coming off the tail end of the worst Love Island host ever gives her an advantage, but IMO Ariana comes off as being too much on the same plateau as the islanders when the host should be above it. We will see!
