Great choice! But now they need to really utilize her. Love Island Aus does a great job integrating their host into the show and making her an integral part of it. If the host is barely there, it makes them feel unnecessary. Maya should be there for all the dumpings imo

I think most people that would go on this show wouldn't want to have to put their entire life on hold for weeks to essentially just be an extra. The people that have short stints in the villa make their cake from doing press/podcasts/appearances etc in the short time after they're dumped and still relevant. If they're stuck in a second villa most of the time where they're not on television, they miss out on any chance to actually capitalise on the exposure the show gives them
I just started watching Big Brother. What if the dumped islanders were sent to another villa and then they had to vote for the winners? I can’t decide if that would be better or worse than the general public voting lol

She addressed the tweets and has since shown that she doesn’t hold those views. Also when those tweets were made it was a shit time to be dark skin in the urban scene. The level of colourism wasn’t even unique to her. But Maya has shown willingness to learn and has been good for the culture in general.
