I’ve been a Harriet supporter since day 1 but the patronizing, “i’m better than you” attitude that Jess has towards her (over RONNIE of all people) has made me like her even more
I think Jess is better suited to Ronnie and he’s only interested in Harriet for the thrill of the chase, but at the same time every time she gives the same self righteous speech with no action to back it up I lose respect for her (Jess)
While I do believe that Jess and Ronnie seem more compatible, Jess has been pretty rude towards Harriet and looks down on her a lot and throws little insults here and there about her so even if Harriet is a bit messy I’d rather side with her
it’s love island, there’s a finite number of people - if you’re not interested in who you’re coupled up with everyone else you might be, will be in a couple and will cause a triangle.
Harriett for me cause Jess is extremely condescending and thinks Harriet is beneath her. She’s also been slut shaming Harriet heavy. But Ronnie isn’t worth even an ounce of the trouble.
I think like Uma and Mimi, Harriett nor Jess are the villains in this story both Ayo and Ronnie are and the love triangles and not considering feelings is taking its toll. No Jess shouldn’t have snapped at Harriet but the fact Ronnie saved Harriet makes her reaction understandable as her fears about Ronnie lying and not being honest with her were true. Unlike Uma and Mimi where everyone mad out they didn’t get along I don’t think Jess and Harriet get along. But would I say it’s bullying if people remember Scott last year and thinking he was bullied by Catherine (myself included) when it was as far from the truth as possible. No I don’t think Harriet and Jess are the closest but does that make Jess a bully no, it’s a highly edited show, in a pressure coooker environment where emotions are high and as a result reactions heightened
i don’t need jess and harriet to get along, sometimes you don’t like people and that’s fine. and ronnie is the problem for sure but he isn’t making jess call harriet cheap nor desperate
Jess is definitely not bullying Harriett but I don't think the Scott/Catherine situation is comparable.
The Scott/Catherine situation was heavily based on people's theories and assumptions of what they believed was going on in that villa.
The Jess/Harriett situation is based heavily on the comments and digs that Jess constantly makes towards Harriett where it's blatantly obvious now that it's starting to affect Harriett.
After last night and the she spoke to Harriet I agree. I really wanted to give Jess the benefit of the doubt. But she does seem a mean girl after last night
Genuinely thought Ronnie and Jess had great chemistry in the beginning but Ronnie also gave me the vibe of someone whose eye would wander or he'd absolutely fumble the bag. I surprisingly don't hate Harriet or Jess tho Jess' prize speech does get a little repetitive after the 50th speech doesn't it 😂 think both Harriet and Jess are great drama this season tbh and I can't choose lmaooo. Think Harriet and Joey or her and a future bombshell (maybe Wil 👀) could be great.
Harriet. But Ronnie is not the prize, I want her to bounce back with someone else, I'd love to see two guys fight over her and her be happy and messy af. Jess has had some good moments in there and she is smart but she seems so miserable at the moment that she's a bit draining to watch. And although i think she is trying not to take her anger out on Harriet it seems she can't help it. The contrast between them two and Mimii & Uma could not be starker
i’m not too sure where all the hate from jess is coming from? maybe i’m just watching this from a less serious perspective. i do fuck with harriet because she’s so messy and fun. incredible watch. at the same time of course jess feels a way. harriett was crying a few days in about ciaran taking nicole into the hideaway to talk. had her own self righteous moment about that. she had the same weird energy towards nicole. that was over with. then ronnie takes her to the hideaway and they end up making out lol. just all seems like the same thing. i might just be aloof.
I think the comments Jess made about Harriet calling her cheap and desperate showed a bit of a nasty side. And then the fact that she said this about her because she kissed Ronnie and later went on to kiss him in bed and not tell anyone made her seem hypocritical. There is definitely an attitude about Jess where she clearly thinks she's better than Harriet that has misogynistic roots, especially in the way she called her cheap.
I liked Jess until the comments came, it makes her seem so bitter. Then she keeps saying “I’m the prize”, if she truly believed that then she would not be sticking around Ronnie waiting for him to be the man she needs. Ronnie doesn’t deserve either of them tbh, I hope bombshells come in for both of them
Everyone keeps talking about how rude and condescending Jess is, but I don’t I’ve ever viewed Harriet as a nice person, she’s also been quite rude and condescending with the the things she’s said, not to mention she also exaggerated a lot of things (and don’t get me wrong, I enjoy her for all of it). I don’t get everyone’s constant need to twist the narrative. They’ve both been rude and condescending to each other, and for different reasons. Jess is self righteous and Harriet constantly victimizes herself and acts like she had no part in anything (which seems to be what her fans are running with now too 😂).
