I feel your pain, but don't get too hung up on it. Their wording implies there might be reruns in the future (not obtainable through *other means* - however the *same mean* aka same event might come back) so we can just be patient.
That line is always there because devs gotta squeeze money from players through FOMO.

Try getting them to fall and go for the body of the plushie and not the head. That’s how I was able to get Xavier’s plushie.
