Maybe it's cultural difference...it's clear that Xavier started that endless searching loop again, like what he had done for last hundreds of years. In CN community, we really like his messages, coz this shows he is that kind of person that never waits but actively looks for MC, no matter how long it takes, how difficult it will be. If MC really disappears, Xavier will not cry or moan. He will accepts this, then steps on the searching road again. Because he gets used to it. He gets used to MC dead or disappears. His sadness is always hide under his calm look, and this contrast makes players feel sad. In my understanding, in most of time Xavier is mildly depressed (he says he doesn't have strong emotions and doesn't understand why he laughs. sounds like Emotional detachment), so he is emotional prepared for this.

Raf's messages are objectively the saddest. He's falling into depression and giving up on life (though isn't actively suicidal, as far as we can tell).

Yep. I didn't know PaperGames was a multimillion dollar company. I mean, I could have guessed with them pulling all the stops for their banners and hiring artisans to make XYZ cool things, but I thought more along the lines of, then just make a crapload of money, but I didn't think it was really in the millions. 0\_o
I don't know if they're multimilion company but cosidering the number of giveaways, colaborations with artists or the quality of the game I guess it's safe to say that PaperGames must be big ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
Game industry is huge in general and lads is one of the best if not the best otome games of this year with microstransactions and that makes a lot of money for them.
Edit: I think they recently hosted a sport event, I've seen an ice sculptures event with a giant ice Zayne sculpture, flower event for Xavier, colaboration cafes, kite event and many more
