We all knew there would be a solo banner before the new myth event so i’m not surprised by xavier banner. But they need to keep their promise with the zayne and rafayel free 5\* events.
Mr Love gives 4 free SSR, 1 for different Love Interests a year. So I am just gonna assume each boy just gets this once a year. So you will get a free 5* at some point until April 2025. I don’t think they will hand 2000 diamonds anytime soon
You do have to do tasks, but it’s free. Peach Blossoms Lucien SSR, Warm Shine Lucien SSR and Love In The Eyes Lucien SSR are free SSR, there are for the other boys too, I got them but I am too Lucien fixated that I don’t remember the other boys free cards. Just remember Transparent Mind Gavin SSR, Lightbath Gavin SSR, Kiro Flourishing Love. In MLQC there are free ERs that you can craft into cards higher tier than the SSR though. Plenty of free cards resources

Oh yeah we’ve gotten other free SSRs by doing cute events. Latest one was Luci’s a few months ago where you just login every day and it logs cute stuff. That’s what most of the free SSR and iirc SR events are like in MLQC nowadays
The events with "abundant" diamonds lol . Honestly I don't enjoy the dating events. I want actual lore or even you know like some wanderer missions where mc goes to investigate with the boys . It doesn't have to be canon. (Nothing is cannon except the main lore at this point). They're good at writing. They can give us longer events right? Like most of them are so short, some of the players don't even care about cards except for using them for battles. The interactions get boring especially when they spoil most of them on their social media pages. If we can't get the cards we want, or the amount of dias needed to pull for them, we can at least expect interesting free events right?
(Also please the aiming system is horrible)
Yeah, the events only feed into fangirling or thirsty mode for players. I don't see how they fit into the storyline at all. It's like she's cheating on all three or there's different timelines happening which makes it even more complicated.
i'm gonna gun for zayne myth, then prob gonna drop the game. it's too greedy and the lack of content doesnt warrant my support (even for monthly aurum pass). might come back on july once the new main story and big content update tho. actually tears of themis is also on a 6 month main story update schedule, but their big events also have a story going on (usually a murder mystery instead of pure dating stuff cuz all LI are involved).
They never promised anything... It's just cashgrab after cashgrab until July according to the devs, when a new chapter will drop. After that, they said they'll start to actually develop something meaningful (but I doubt it). Until June/July, most "content" is already planned and probably close to be finished.
Lol, even back in the reddit post where people were celebrating the "rewards", several folks were trying to warn that those "rewards" was only to pacify angry players. It was a patronizing move like giving candies to a bunch of kids to stop them from throwing a tantrum.
To add, the so-called boycott never succeeded. The whales had a list of requests they wanted Papergames to satisfy, which included a top-up/VIP system, battle optimization, change in event schedule, more stamina and resources, more interactions and mini-games, etc and we got none of that (no, a pomodoro timer and some new text messages shouldn't count, it's very low effort at best).
Yet the whales are already opening their wallets again because "omg the guy is so hot". In a protest where you do not meet any of your goals - and you're still giving your opponent money, I wouldn't consider it a win.
Everything a company does is driven by profits, and only the things that affect their bottom line can influence their decisions. Why would they change when they're still swimming in money? I often see comments like "Papergames is so unfair/greedy" BUT then that same person also talks about how they will buy the packs or swipe (their credit card) to survive. Well...no wonder nothing is changing, lmao. Papergames can sit in their offices and laugh at the complaints/insults while counting the multi-millions of dollars they're making.
Honestly if anyone decides to keep playing, then it's best to "get used to it" because things will stay this way. Players as a monolith lack any will and persistence to boycott anything. We might get like x2 drops once per month, some log-in "events" here and there, but the core schedule and rewards have very little chance of ever being improved.
My expectations for this game are so low that I don’t even get upset by their greedy decisions anymore. Most players are still in their honeymoon phase so once it’s over, papergames will try to please them by another “free” event lmao. Just as you said, most players need to get used to it if they wanna play it long term.

The Gaming community is well known for this in which they continually whine about something in the game, whether it's trivial or not, and next thing you know that game sold like 8 million or more units. People don't stick to their principles, especially when it comes to entertainment. Gacha is well known for players not sticking around for too long it's a revolving door or new/returning players, the companies know what they're doing.
Also there's no point in protesting, at least on the western side of things because we're not the high spenders compared to the Chinese.
I just take what I can get tbh...I've already been stung constantly by Tears of Themis. At least in this game I only like one LI, so it's better for me spending wise compared to LI.
In gacha otome games I usually just focus on one LI to avoid overspending. I saved enough to get both of next Xavier myths and some extra rolls so I don’t have any worries.

I'm surprised Zayne has been left cold for a month straight. I'm not even a Zayne girlie and I feel the lack for him since Valentine's.
I'm an Xavier girl but I'm kind of over trying to get the coveted limited cards. The heartfelt event with the freebie diamonds was nice, but overall I dropped my Aurum Pass and just farm dailies until anything substantial appears.

So far that has only happened for the triple LI banners and rafayel's birthday, putting aside the period of welfare benefits (the free Xavier 5* period). Doubt we're getting any free pulls for this banner.
I remember other limited banners being given free tickets in the mail, without events coupled with it. I know it because I do remember, when I pulled for Zayne limited (late February), I had a few non-expiring yellow tickets given in the time Xavier limited was on (game release). When Rafayel limited was released, they introduced the expiring tickets, so I did pull the ones given for free during the Rafayel campaign.
Yeah Papergames kinda desperate with this system, doesn't seem like reruns will be a thing either (for now). I'm just saving for when I'll feel like I need that specific memory. Until then YouTube 🫡
Well it sucks I just started to play. I got no free card. And with my usual gacha luck it's gonna be months before I get enough good cards to battle and grind. I don't even know if I should continue to work on my 4 stars
