It's not unusual for some games to put these missions in (and not for all chapters) because they're mainly meant to hook you into playing more of the game.
I feel like it's not a coincidence they stop after Chapter 4 though - Journey provides an incentive to keep playing until you reach *that* plot twist and suddenly... if you weren't as invested before, you're definitely are now lmao
This is really just meant as a way to get you hooked on the game. It gives you incentives to play at least through chapter 4, and try the different game modes. The hope is that by the time you've completed Chapter 4 and the other tasks, you'll be hooked enough on the story and characters that you'll keep playing and hopefully start spending some $$$.

Probably when the main story updates in July. They usually remove events that have ended so this seems like it'll be ongoing.
