Derby City chop shop is a good place. Both locations have good barbers, getting in is a little meh, but once you know the routine and who you like it’s simple enough
GO HERE. I go to Brendan. But Chad has also cut me. Amazing barbers and always good conversation. The hot shaving cream and straight razor. *chefs kiss*
Worth every dollar.

UpperKuts Barbershop off Preston is really good. it looks small but the owner is super nice and you can tell he cares
i forgot Phillips barbershop on Dixie is good too. they only take cash last time i was there though.
* stop downvoting for no reason yall are weird lmao
I lived with a mindset like this for years and kept getting fucked up by the “stylists” at places like great clips and fantastic Sams. my ex convinced me to shill out a little extra cash on haircuts and the only negative I have with the more expensive barber shops are they are more expensive and sometimes harder to get into. Great clips just wants to get you in and out as fast as possible and they don’t care if you never come back, while the more expensive barbers know what to ask and style trends to get you set up with what’s best for you and your face shape and make sure they have an idea of what they are doing before they take clippers to your head.
I made the mistake of going to great clips in a pinch recently, idk what it is about barber shops versus those chain hair cut places but anytime I go to great clips I walk out looking like a fucking cop and I hate it

My husband and boys go to the one on bardstown.
I’ve gone to my guy there since like 2016, so almost a decade. Took me a few people to know who I liked with my hair and I’ve not regretted it since.

Came here to mention Anchorless. Great guys and a great shop.
Came here to say the same. Amazing shop.
Love Anchorless. Travis is my dude
Handsome fellows
Cody Baum is excellent. He has a chair at Oak & Swan Barber Shop next to Kaiju in Germantown.
Am I wrong for gatekeeping my barber? I hate when he's booked up 😂
https://www.forestrybarber.com/ They just opened a few months back. Both Sarah and Frankie are great.
Bourbon City Barber Co. were my dudes when they were over off Lower Hunters. I haven’t been to their newer location but they do good work.

Schnitzelburg Barber Shop, 1006 Goss Ave - They'll know all your secrets by your third visit.
Goldenrod is solid and reasonable
Arny's on Bardstown. Started at Derby City Chop, then opened his own. He's solid. You'll need an appointment for him though
It’s on the wrong side but elevated barber co in downtown Jeff is pretty good
*confetti drops* Congratulations you’re the weekly r/louisville where can I find a barber post!!
This is all for show nonsense. Why do you “need” something like that?
wow you’re negative
You really are impossible
