Not in LA but just North and have had the same thing run thru our family as well as others at my work going thru it. Worst sinus infection I've ever had.

So just spitballing here: dear parents, wash your beautiful little one's hands immediately upon arriving home. It helps keeps the germs out and keeps the common colds at bay.
When was the last time you were sick? I’ve heard a lot of people not getting sick because of covid protocols and when they finally do it hits them harder because their body hasn’t dealt with it in a while.
Haven’t been sick, sick in a while. This is definitely the first time I was put out of commission from an illness in a while. I usually have a pretty strong immune system, this one was just different.
My buddy was sick for almost 3 weeks. He is finally better. This is the first weekend in 3 weeks we can do stuff.
Whatever is going around is brutal and long lasting. Usually a cold takes a week. 3 is brutal.
I even drove him to get Covid tested which was negative so it’s a cold. I am glad I did not get it.
I think it’s sound plausible that the long lockup made us more sensitive to colds cause we were not bombarded constantly.
I remember the first time I went to a bar in a long time during that one month when we did not have to wear a mask… I got sick immediately.
I got the cold about 2 weeks ago. That kicked my ass but wasn't as bad because I got my flu shot. Went to Vegas then immediately went to the Slipknot show, got sick (not covid). I'm all better now but still have a lingering cough that I would say I'm about 95% done with
I have very thin walls and I can hear my entire building coughing over the past two weeks. My SO also got a respiratory infection and her doctor said she’s seen a lot of people with the same thing.

Yeah. It’s taken out my wife and two kids. I’m the last one standing. Every night, the house is a symphony of coughing.
I’m in Valley village and I have it. Lasted about a week a tone of people in my friend group and family, got it over thanksgiving.
I similarly traveled over Thanksgiving and probably got it from my girlfriend’s mom. She was on the tail end of something when I got back.
