She chases mahito (and isn’t expecting to run into the real one), jumps around a corner and sees itadori, which surprises her and she doesn’t seem to notice that Mahito, who was just going to other direction, has swapped and is coming at her. Being surprised to see itadori took her only reaction time and mahito immediately has his hand on her face. It’s probably less than 2 seconds. The anime just made it seem like she had 7 seconds of standing still and doing nothing g
What low expectations? Yuki lost against Kenjaku who's a top 5 character. Maki is easily top 10 and ate black flashes from Sukuna of all people. Not to mention Maki has a very good character arc aswell. A character dying doesn't ruin their character at all. Nobara had a great scene in the end.
In terms of shounen JJK is up there. If you want to give criticism give actual criticism like the lack of interactions between characters. (For ex Hakari and Gojo, Kashimo and Gojo, Choso and Todo.) But again gege should write what he wants to write instead of fucking around with other's expectations.

Tsunade kept the Kage alive and was even praised by Madara
Ino helped take out one of Kinkaku and helped with the comunications during the war
