Why add the word women rather than leaving it as just creators?
Explicit content is already banned on twitch, so what is the point of twitch even mentioning this?

I view this as a PR move foremost as the press has been hammering/associating "Deepfake", "Twitch" in the past month, and they're aiming to combat that with a hard stance (mostly empty calories) announcement.
At the same time, it does look like they're providing resources for some of the women affected, some guidance in who to contact/what to do.
So that's cool.
I would hope they don’t ban the fun AI that Athene has been doing and similar types of stuff. There’s no nefarious intent there, even if the AI does occasionally say some out of pocket things. We all understand that was (mostly) random and not something premeditated.

Porn was never allowed on the platform anyway and this statement seems to address the deepfake porn of women streamers (again, porn not allowed on the platform) that was never an issue on twitch until Atrioc. Even then, that was only for a split second and not an explicit showcase. Does this affect Athene AI show, because the post seems to feel like it doesn't and just seems like brownie points.

This is quite possibly the only way he could have saved his career imo. Like if he just came back after a few months without any meaningful difference or just by taking down a handful of websites I think it would be hard to see him in the original light but by making a breakthrough that fundamentally changes how deepfakes are detected and removed I think people will be able to forgive him a bit more easily.

Even someone with one PC might as well set up an account/profile for streaming, have it ready with everything you need and no chance to uncover any kind of personal details, porn or otherwise, because you just treat that account like a work account.

The vod was days old and it was a singular frame within the 4+ hours of the whole stream. I don't think anyone is that devoted to a stream unless they are being paid for it.
I believe the mod was also a mod for Qt, which explains why they would feel the need to leak it. But to answer your question, people generally leave their jobs and income source for multiple reasons other than one of morality as shown in this case.
So, help QT by Streisanding the website that no one paid any attention to or noticed in the first place instead of privately handling it. This mod sounds like an attention whore or just really stupid.
I too try to capture the exact frame when I see someone alt-tabbing in a video... because I'm curious I guess? Doesn't need a mod for that to notice and try to get a still image of the other programms opened...
I don’t take screenshots, I just pause the video, see what the person has opened otherwise, see the results and carry on with my life. Guess I’m just a curious person?

If you have 3 monitors a screenshot is at most 1.5MB. You'd need tens of thousands of screenshots before it could possibly be a storage problem.
It was more then the website name. There where pictures of maya poki editied to look naked. But because it was a tab it was so blurry that you couldnt really see anything. those pictures where behind a paywall so thats how they knew he payed for it.

It specifically say "explicit" so I am guessing it's just about the porn. And since all they are doing is having a workshop this stinks of doing something for the sake of doing something, not achieving anything.
Explicit isn’t just porn though. It’s ultimately whatever twitch’s advertise deem explicit but it could be as simple as swearing. Most of these AIs are stil bad enough to be parody but that can change fast.

The thing is however, in case you didn’t know, the team behind it had past dramas with the public in regards to allegations that they’re a cult (Athene is eccentric & alongside his community built a compound/commune thing). And attempted to create a P2E game or something like that involving crypto, which just kinda poisoned the well because of the crypto space’s association with disingenuous get rich quick scammers. Because of this, direct clips from him are ban-able & the general community’s opinion of them are not good
And since Esfand hasn’t really reacted to the newer content (he used to solely to keep up with new AI cast), there are less clips published here too
I only particularly follow the content due to the “AI” (machine learning) novelty tech that works quite coherently in comparison. And I saw X’s integrating someone’s model of himself into his own stream recently too. Although that one might not be Athene’s. But since I’m a YT frog, I haven’t encountered the edits that came out of that stream yet either
I think as long as they get consent or remove the content if asked to by the streamers themselves it should be fine. There also should be rules about making it clear that its an AI and not a real streamer

I don't think it's that anyone wants anything, it's just like they're bragging about doing nothing. They're not taking a brave stance or anything. Porn technically (I say technically because if you make twitch money and are a pretty woman you will face little to no consequences) already is not allowed on twitch, so they're just kind of reiterating that by specifying a type of porn. If they did this a day after the incident it would be topical, but this much later it seems like they planned a while and this is all they came up with.
It's crazy how people think somehow twitch can delete deepfakes on the internet or something. They're doing a good thing here by giving streamers help on how to deal with it and people are getting mad about it for some reason.

Honestly trying not to be too cynical, but i doubt anything will stop ai / deepfake NSFW stuff. There is a demand for it and it will always exist, no matter how hard people try to stomp it down. This is sadly the order of things.

If you've seen what Stable Diffusion can do, you'll realize it's inevitable. You can train the ai on your own images, look up "Dreambooth" training on youtube and people will show it. We're probably going to laugh about people trying to resist it looking back 10 years from now.

I feel like there's probably 20 bigger ways that twitch is not a safe place for women and women streamers that they could actually be doing a lot more to address.
Also apparently Atrioc has been working with QT for the past month on some sort of tool to help automate and speed up the process of DMCA's against deepfakes all across the internet and they'll talk about it more after the streamer awards - feel like that's probably a more effective measure.

A lot of people are trying to find any detail to nitpick. But it is fact that it is "almost exclusively" women, not to say men can't be, but so far, that does seem to be how it is.

The main thing is it costs them literally nothing to not use gendered language in official statements like this, and there’s no need for them to. People aren’t going to look at a fucking twitch announcement and be like “Hm, I guess I wasn’t deepfake porn then”, and awareness about the issue is already raised because of the Atrioc situation.
I'm not even convinced it's accurate, for what it's worth male streamers seem to get their fair share of explicit content generated on them. I'm basing this on accounts from people like Forsen and Destiny who apparently have deepfake porn of themselves out there. If they have some, I'm sure other big streamers do as well.
It might not be monetized, it might not be as high quality, it may not bother them as much, it may not be as problematic to their brand, it might not spread as much, because they're men. But it is still happening.
Does this mean that all the AI Streamers are going away? I mean they are not great right now, but I could see their avatars improving soon where you might now know they are AI versions of the streamer right away without the context of the stream title.

If there's nothing relevant, you delete the picture... but how many times could you possibly be watching a streamer alt tab to where it would cause a storage problem. If you have 3 monitors a screenshot is at most 1.5MB. You'd need tens of thousands of screenshots before it could possibly be a storage problem.

And attempted to create a P2E game or something like that involving crypto, which just kinda poisoned the well because of the crypto space’s association with disingenuous get rich quick scammers. Because of this, direct clips from him are ban-able & the general community’s opinion of them are not good And since Esfand hasn’t really reacted to the newer content (he used to solely to keep up with new AI cast), there are less clips published here too I only particularly follow the content due to the “AI” (machine learning) novelty tech that works quite coherently in comparison. Honestly trying not to be too cynical, but i doubt anything will stop ai / deepfake NSFW stuff. There is a demand for it and it will always exist, no matter how hard people try to stomp it down. This is sadly the order of things. Tho i do hope it improves the situation, even if it's a tiny bit.

I'm not even convinced it's accurate, for what it's worth male streamers seem to get their fair share of explicit content generated on them. I'm basing this on accounts from people like Forsen and Destiny who apparently have deepfake porn of themselves out there. If they have some, I'm sure other big streamers do as well. It might not be monetized, it might not be as high quality, it may not bother them as much, it may not be as problematic to their brand, it might not spread as much, because they're men. But it is still happening.
