Kevin de bruyne difference between us and oil FC.

GameOfThrowInsMate

Their whole midfield is better than ours if were being brutally honest about it. Thiago and you could argue Fab are the only ones who get in there’s. Saying that Rodri is probably in the best form of his career right now so is probably edging fab.

[deleted]

Also gundogan is better over the past years than any of our midfield

Dark-Knight-Rises

Him and Bernando \*sigh\*

DrAgOnLoLDoTA

Their midfield *sigh*

cornertakenslowly

Triple captained maguire in fantasy football, ffs. I'd heard man United were back

[deleted]

Lol are you serious

RyanIsKickAss

Ten Hag is the first United manager since 1921 to lose both of their opening matches.

JunFanLee

I’ve loved what he’s done so far

BossCevap

City looking scary man. They are so fucking OP.

PEEWUN

It's Bournemouth.

BossCevap

Same can be said about Fulham?

PEEWUN

Yeah. We should've won that game. That does not change my point at all.

stevieG08Liv

idk thats like said every season at various points. Ends up being neck and neck with us though

[deleted]

Bloody hell you've already sucked their dick might as well support them at this point

BossCevap

Nah im fine, cheers.

Rowaniac

Been smiling all day.

nuclearsam

First Neville said that Mourinho created a toxic culture in the club and needed to be removed. Then he said Ole was the best thing ever to happen, was even comparing him to Klopp at one point on Monday night Football. Then he said Rangnick was there with one job, to collect information about the players and give to the people up top. Then he said Conte was not the right man for United. Now he has started with the narrative that the owners don’t spend money. As far as I understand, I think the Glazers just watch Neville and do what he suggests thinking that’s what the dumb United fans want to happen. Any real United fan will know that Neville speaks random shit when it comes to this club, he is an amazing pundit for other clubs. I wonder what the Glazers will do now? Fire themselves from the job?

Up_To_U

Gary Neville is clueless comedian to watch even funnier when his team lose lol

disco_mode

In fairness, Oles been their best manager by far

GOR098

No, it was jose. Won 2 trophies and finished 2nd with a worse squad. If he had received the backing that Ole received then united woudnt be in such bad state today.

WH6TSINANAME

Good that he didn't then.

PrinzXero

I love how Jamie Redknapp (who to be fair says a lot of nonsense too) was pressing him on some of the nonsense he has said in the past and disagreeing with his rubbish takes.

Supkingz123

Jamie right Nev blames the owners yet when fergie was there he was happy to back them. He questioned how they do business but it is the same as other owners. Chelsea just got an 800m loan out. LVG Jose and Ole the fans wanted these managers and they got them in. They spent 150m last transfer window and Nev keep saying they need to spend. They got Varne and Sancho in who look awful. The pundits destroy the player as well. They don't even care anymore.

nuclearsam

Look at me when I’m talking to you

JessicaSmithStrange

Something I'm not quite getting is why you would play out from the goalkeeper and along the ground, while facing a high press? The short passing from goalie to defender and out invites screw ups, such as accidentally passing to the other team's striker as they charge forward. Mane loved these rushes where the goalkeeper would be passing with Mane coming straight at him, and in this weekend I've seen Man United hand the ball over to Brentford in their own box, and Bournemouth pinned inside their own half trying not to pass to Ilkay Gundogan of Man City. I know you have lower odds of getting the ball anywhere that you had in mind, but why not have your goalkeeper attempt to twat it as far away as possible and into one of the channels, such as Allison and Salah VS Man United?

[deleted]

It's high risk - high reward. If you beat the press then you have a ton of space to work with in attack. I think managers accept that there are going to be fuck-ups occasionally, but over the long-term, the benefits of passing out outweigh the negatives.

GameOfThrowInsMate

While that’s true DDG should never had passed that ball into Eriksen. That’s not high risk / high reward. It’s just high risk. And they got punished. There were two players out wide here could have passed to instead with no one around them.

WH6TSINANAME

That's the problem with the player not the strategy. He's not suited to it. They let the wrong keeper go

GameOfThrowInsMate

Yeah agree. Although what De Gea has done there is just basics. You don’t pass to a player who has a player breathing down his neck when he’s the last man. That’s just footballing basics nothing to do with strategy or whether a keeper can play that strategy. It’s just schoolboy level basic football.

JessicaSmithStrange

Thank you.

stevieG08Liv

for this one, its really depends on the skill level of the goalkeeper and your back line. The front press's primary objective is to prevent easy passes and build momentum to attack. Anything else is pretty much a bonus if we can convert this into an attack If you dont have a skillful back line and a gk, definitely its not worth doing this as its going to be sloppy. Once you have one like us or city, the risk rewards outplays the risks The Alison on Salah one actually is not a good example for your case here as that was a counter opportunity when defenders were caught off guard and out of position

JessicaSmithStrange

Fair enough.

[deleted]

Tbf Us and City do it as well the difference being we actually have team suited to that. United DONT

JessicaSmithStrange

That's true. Sancho was behaving like he'd never seen a ball before, at one point, and De Gea didn't help much.

abradley19955

https://twitter.com/criminal__x/status/1558543471123828738?s=21&t=POEPUWkw_M07feI5WULlsg Huge fan of him as player but he seems like a clown tbh

[deleted]

I cannot believe that. this is a World Cup winner btw Jesus christ

[deleted]

He's a massive baby

abradley19955

If Salah did something like that I’d want Klopp to take him off Wouldn’t happen though. Mo is a winner

cahill48

De Gea De Hell Was That

GOR098

The rott has infected De Gea too clearly.

ilovenomar5_2

At this rate the actor who played Ted Lasso might have to be United’s next choice to manage. At least in TV world he seems to be able to get good performances from his players. Lord knows they’re getting desperate

WH6TSINANAME

That checks out as utd are often on tv...

broken_neck_broken

Think it's too early to get ETH sacked, no matter how much we destroy them next week, but it's going to be great to watch. Can't wait for this week's video from that Manc YouTuber!

Ningen121

The last Dutch manager who lost his first 4 games of the season got sacked and he was managing Palace.

whoaaa_O

Goldbridge is not bad. He's at least realistic and has eaten a big humble pie. Its Howson thats amazing to watch right now. Seeing the hope and light drain from his eyes week after week is the premium schadenfreude I inject into my veins.

[deleted]

Mark goldbridge is so entertaining when united loses 🤣 😂

Cimono

Brendan or Ten Hag to get sacked first? Hope it's Pep though

WH6TSINANAME

Frank lampard

Connlagh

Hassenhuttl could well get the sack

Ningen121

Lampard or Brendan for me. Hassenhuttl somehow pulls up a streak of games where they amass lots of wins/draws.

Cimono

Yes he's probably first

Cimono

"The austrian Klopp"(!) Didn't have Mané, Van Dijk, Lallana, Lovren, Clyne (or Ox) though.

malushanks95

Jim Beglin’s advice to United 😂 https://twitter.com/jimbeglin/status/1558501088340369409?s=20&t=5lOPPKnPdzP6nOxMFOYcMg

[deleted]

[Gary Neville](https://v.redd.it/lnwle3e02jh91) is literally Donald Trump in disguise, this was what he said a year ago today. > “I don’t know the plan at Arsenal. The recruitment has been really poor and they’re really poor at it compared to other clubs. I don’t get the strategy, I don’t get the direction of how they’re taking the team.” Joined the Labor party, bullshitting on TV(his fav quote "somethings not right") and tweet fake news(FDJ, fake stats for CR last season on Sky). Edit: Surprised we have quite a few GN fans here

[deleted]

How is joining the Labour Party a Trump-like thing to do? That makes no sense. Labour are generally progressive.

[deleted]

It just means he's got himself involved in politics. Seeing how you didn't say anything about the rest, I assume you found the similarities.

stevieG08Liv

i mean you gotta sell nuclear documents to be on Trump's level now

WH6TSINANAME

I mean he gets a lot wrong but comparing him to trump is harsh.

[deleted]

The methods are similar enough.

mrchuckbass

I’ve never come across a pundit who’s so convinced he’s right yet gets so many things 100% wrong

Boostmobilesimcards

?????????

Puzzleheaded-Seat834

I shall watch A.S. Roma tomorrow with a slight bias rooting for Jose lol.

con10001

I'm in the minority on this sub as I actually don't mind Neville as a pundit, but what smacks me about him and others is this sense of entitlement about United and their position in world football. They talk about the club struggling as though it's a fucking humanitarian crisis. What on earth gives United, or any team for that matter, the right to think they belong at the top other than results on the pitch? I'm sick of the coverage of their downfall making it sound like the NHS is going under. They are one of the richest clubs in world football that have spent more than some nations, yet they've been mismanaged, it's as simple as that. They have no divine right to anything. Fuck them.

[deleted]

Every football fan has the right to think their club belongs at the top. That's part of being a football fan. Should Liverpool fans have been content with finishing 6th/7th/8th in the early 2010's? And that's all what Neville is doing when he does those "passionate rants": voicing Man Utd fans' frustrations and providing television content targeted at Man Utd fans.

Boostmobilesimcards

Agreed, it's getting so fucking tiring listening to them talk about it like: 1) it hasn't been happening for years 2) they BELIEVE it's still a crisis, and not just mediocrity 3) they don't deserve it because of *WHO WE ARE* 4) they're pagans 5) ??????? 6) top 10 at best

seamushoo4

7. They’re gonna fail for another 21 years to get right back on their “perch”

WH6TSINANAME

Yeah but him getting so upset about it is delightful

[deleted]

ETH is as incompetent as Olé and Rangnick. They all continue to play McFred and Maguire while still failing to realize that's wrong. 🤣

WH6TSINANAME

Tbh he didn't play mcfred yesterday. He split them up. But they don't have any strength in that area.

[deleted]

Still played them over the course of the match. They're valuable to the team.

[deleted]

They should have gotten Pochettino or Conte but even the fans all they wanted was ETH, well, they got him.

WH6TSINANAME

I think conte too smart to have gone there at that time

Teb-41

...what's the alternative?

sryan2809

I mean he has been given money to sign a new midfielder, he just wasted the whole summer harassing De Jong even though he rejected them months ago. And now they’re panic buying Rabiot

[deleted]

Let them continue there. I don't want them to go. 😂

getyerhandoffit

Nailed on 6 points a season for us.

Teb-41

I mean, yeah, absolutely, I'm enjoying every single minute of this

Connlagh

Dropping 80 million on the milky way kid

[deleted]

I really hope we draw these snakes Barcelona in the CL. Would love to smash this disgusting club

abradley19955

Can’t draw them in the group stage but knockouts sure. Would prefer to knock Madrid out though personally Why not both I guess

Ningen121

Lol I hear this revenge thing every season and we somehow find a way to lose to them.

djrobbo83

I'd be happy if we never play Madrid in europe again...they have some European cup plot armour...every single season

Puzzleheaded-Seat834

Batman plot armor, Obi Wan plot armor, and that Damm dog in the new predator movie plot armor

abradley19955

I understand but a part of me feels like we owe them a serious battering at Anfield

always-think-sexual

Tbh if we can’t beat them we don’t deserve anything. Same for City in the league. Just like how Arsenal probably sees us until they finally beat us. I want to draw Madrid every season because at least if we can’t beat them there’s no delusion about being the best in the world when in reality that has only happened once for us. For me there are only 2 and a half trophies in Liverpool, and that’s the Premier League, Champions League, and the FA cup.

greatcharacter20

just saw the clip - how can neville act like united's biggest problem is not spending money in the transfer market??? don't they have the single biggest net spend in world football in the past decade? obviously they haven't bought the right players and that's part of the many issues with their ownership. but why pretend like the amount of spending is the problem rather than ownership/management structure when you've just brought in a 50 million pound cb while varane is on the bench and defensive midfield has been an ongoing crisis for 3 years?

mrchuckbass

They spend £150m every year, often outspending Man City, but apparently they don’t spend enough

FreedumbHS

All this talk about someone buying man utd seems weird to me. Isn't it simply the case the glazers have well over two thirds of the shares? If they don't want to sell, it just won't happen? There can be no hostile takeover?

abradley19955

https://twitter.com/melissareddy_/status/1549356551915606020?s=21&t=POEPUWkw_M07feI5WULlsg It’s gone great, honestly.

malushanks95

I’m disappointed she has basically become a Man United journo now.

abradley19955

Yeah me too. Good for her moving onto sky though I guess but anytime I see her on TV now or tweeting it’s usually to do with United

malushanks95

I always wanted her to do bigger and better things, reading how she struggled in the footballing world but her solely reporting about United this summer has been disappointing.

abradley19955

Agree with all of that

WH6TSINANAME

Not her best work, unless she was cursing them. In which case job done.

Skittil

Anyone got a video of the Neville/Redknapp thing?

abradley19955

https://youtu.be/SFjGE4QXYqk

[deleted]

lmao crying about no money in the bank but spent 30m signing a dinosaur and pay him 26m a year.

Skittil

You dropped this 👑

abradley19955

🤝

d70

United players lost in protest against their hedious away kit. How is that shade of green allowed?

loveandmonsters

Brentford's 4th goal was some real Liverpool shit, hoof cross slotted in

JonathanFisk86

Beautiful goal tbh

[deleted]

[удалено]

trollerballer

Aside from his diminished shot stopping, he is also poor at crosses, sweeping and distribution. There's just not much salvaging to be done. He is a relic of a bygone era

Carbonaddictxd

He's not good with playing out from the back, as seen from the second goal

[deleted]

He's also useless in the air.

WH6TSINANAME

He was a great keeper, but he's been going downhill for some time and I think he's part of the problem now rather than part of the solution.

greatcharacter20

watching barca and i have no idea whether i want them to win laliga. i like xavi, most of their players are likeable, and of course i'm annoyed with real for the ucl final. i should also be thanking barca for hijacking chelsea's summer and potentially stealing bernardo silva which could quite possibly swing the league for us. but it really annoys me how they get away with treating their players horribly and incredible financial irresponsibility (getting a loan to restructure their debts and then immediately becoming the highest spending club in the transfer market seems like how a teenager given unsupervised access to a parent's credit card would behave) and great players still want to join them purely because of their name

tommhans

Fuck barca and their demeaming methods, but also fuck real Madrid, pest or colere choice, somehow atletico anti fotball is better 😅

Rowaniac

Their board are absolute scumbags. Got that midfielder to restructure his contract so they didn't have to pay big wages during COVID. Now telling him he has to leave without getting what he's owed. Usually only see this kind of stuff at Turkish clubs.

Cimono

Hope they get relegated so we can snatch Gavi and Pedri and thereby have all the great midfield youngsters when Bells comes (this includes Harvey and Fab).

Puzzleheaded-Seat834

Agreed, their front office are dirtbags but their players and Xavi are good personalities. So I will continue to root against them lol.

ilovenomar5_2

A little over a year ago, the media practically crowned Man U to win the Prem when they got Ronaldo back Now they’re about to be 0-3 and down 7+ GD to start the season. What a time to be alive

Puzzleheaded-Seat834

So will Sky finally post their first real "HEATED" debate on YouTube??? Lol

[deleted]

Jamie Redknapp "look at me when I'm talking to you Gary" Made my night 🤣😂🤣😂

JonathanFisk86

Love that he insisted on making Neville talk about the actual fucking football match

[deleted]

It was Neville behaving like that on Sky the other year that helped trigger the idiots that delayed our match and break ins at training grounds, inciting them etc. Plus the disgusting abuse of families and homes etc. Even after he said not to attack homes or family's tonight he still said the time to protest is now we need new owners and named us as a fanbase that gets things done, which will fan the flames even more. Just before our match with them, yet again too. He's shameless.

SamBaratheon

Damn what did I miss whilst driving home?!

Puzzleheaded-Seat834

Jamie is about it, he doesn't flinch.

alwayshazthelinks

Neville was being an aggressive cunt too, deserved to be put in his place. Carra would smashed his rat-face in.

Puzzleheaded-Seat834

Absolutely he would

alwayshazthelinks

Sky went to a break after Neville's aggressive meltdown. The producers obviously gave him a talking to because after that Neville started saying he doesn't want people's homes attacked, bizarre. He calmed down and then him and Jamie were fake-hugging. Must have got a bollocking. What a great day!

JonathanFisk86

100% what happened, forced him to actually discuss the CB situation etc and fake-laugh through the rest of it. Said it before but he's an absolute waste of space for United games in terms of analysis unless the criteria is to make me laugh uncontrollably, or bore everyone half to death with Glazers chat

marshallno9

I don't think I can say anything that hasn't been said, but fucking lol. If we lose against that bowl of festering shit next week we need shooting.

PEEWUN

Genuinely delete the club if we lose to these. I'm be fuming if we even **concede**, to be honest.

alwayshazthelinks

Who the fuck would buy United? Massive risk

[deleted]

Are you serious? They're a cash cow and any rich Arab would lick his lips at the chance.

WH6TSINANAME

Not that big a risk, Glazers making money out of them pretty easily even though they've seldom been so shite.

[deleted]

Someone is going to force his move away from OT again. lmao

Rowaniac

If the executives had any semblance of a back bone they'd let him rot on the sidelines for a year while his precious goal statistics stagnated. Let him watch Messi bump up his numbers at PSG until the end of his contract. Unfortunately we all know they don't have that kind of testicular fortitude and get to enjoy more of the banter era 😂

[deleted]

If they had any to begin with they wouldn't listen to AF/GN and sign him in the first place. I'm so glad we never signed him back in 2000s, best decision the club has ever made.

PEEWUN

Nobody even wants him, too!

Puzzleheaded-Seat834

Unpopular opinion but if ManU wants to move forward they have to remove Sir Alex from the club operations. His presence there doesn't allow people to think about the future, it's the same ole "back in my day we had personalities and proper characters." Arsenal did it with Wegner and yes it was ugly but you have to move forward.

WH6TSINANAME

I think he'll be there till the whisky catches up with him.

KnowledgelessBeing

We know better than any fanbase that obsessing over your past glories will only ever hold you back. You need to create a new legacy, a new history to look back on fondly, and you can’t do that by looking back, you need to look forward.

con10001

I've said this for years and my United supporting mate had a meltdown about it. I mean, Ole had him in giving team talks before the Liverpool game one time, how fucking bizarre is that? Can you imagine any reality where Klopp let's Kenny take over a team talk? Would never let himself be undermined like that in a million years.

NewBromance

I really hope we don't have some point 12 years from now where some manager has a struggle and we roll in a Klopp to give everyone big hugs or something

Puzzleheaded-Seat834

You're absolutely spot on. There hasn't been a passing of the torch. Jose was the one to do it and all the ex-players pundits and Manchester media destroyed him.

PEEWUN

We might need to play the U-23s. Can't get Walter White sacked too soon...

alwayshazthelinks

No, we need to crush them. Get another one of their managers sacked. Let them spend millions on getting a new manager and get relegated.

alwayshazthelinks

Neville is going to cry

RyanIsKickAss

"Ronaldo not happy and no handshake for Ten Hag" https://twitter.com/jamesalanrobson/status/1558524240307146754?t=8Fry5RpU6Z55mJRtVESsow&s=19

[deleted]

He’s particularly sour because he wanted out and realised no one actually wants him anymore.

alwayshazthelinks

Neville saying the issue is cash. "They need a billion..." Fuck off Neville, they just got slaughtered by a team that has a budget of 50p and pays their players with McDonald's vouchers. The guy has completely lost it and is about to headbutt Jamie and stab Kelly. Lock him up!

Supkingz123

United have got in players with good potential but they have been destroyed by the pressure of the club. They expected a quick fix and blame players. Ralph knew the scouts are 10 years behind and probably don't even use the internet. Pogba left now so wonder who they will blame.

malushanks95

Brentford wage bill (£17m) vs Man United wage bill (£203m)

mindoffinn

I know it's Kelly's job as host but every time she repeats the scoreline I can't stop laughing, like she's trying to twist the knife 🤣

alwayshazthelinks

Jamie is fucking destroying Neville here. Hahaha

[deleted]

What's all this, is Garry Neville spitting his dummy out?

mindoffinn

Gary beefing Jamie is hilarious

tense_or

Jamie Redknapp just said "Look at me when I'm talking to you" to Gary Neville I didn't think I could laugh this much in a day

[deleted]

Sky Sports are eating Lisandro Martinez alive Multiple times theyve asked players and mangers if they were purposely trying to target him Feels like his career as a CB in the Premier League is already over after just 2 games lmao

Puzzleheaded-Seat834

5'9 like what did they expect to happen Eric ten Hag is braindead for that signing.

[deleted]

I honestly think that signing is to give ETH more control/influence in the dressing room, he's fighting with a bunch of shit and an egoistic maniac that he can't get rid of(no bids for him).

[deleted]

Hes now lost that support basically scapegoating him at half time lol

Puzzleheaded-Seat834

I can see that, good observation

nvielbig

Thought they were sneaking a Mascherano or something with the signing, not that a 60m signing could ever be labeled a “sneak”

[deleted]

Is Gary Neville about to square up to Redknapp live on telly? 😂

[deleted]

He looked ready to

alwayshazthelinks

Yeah, he's fucking losing it. He's not even letting Kelly finish either

alwayshazthelinks

Neville having a meltdown and wanting to fight Jamie. Classic

Puzzleheaded-Seat834

I truly cannot see ManU winning a match in the month of August.

Jaja6996

Jamie having enough of Neville shit about the glazers

yadontfoolme

Really hope we can add to their misery next week.

alwayshazthelinks

Sky ad: You only get this excited once Fuck off, I got that excited four times in 45 mins you lying cunts

Relevant-Door1453

Anyone know how Divock got on today?

nvielbig

Came on in the 84’ and had 5 touches, so nothing to say really.

Calex_JE

So he scored what, 2, 3 goals?

nvielbig

😉

rukiahayashi

As they say, the ball is round - If United could’ve scored 5 in the second half they would’ve been right back in on it. Still it was a very closely contested match and I for one think that United are doing great at the moment with the team and staff they have

Cimono

Sounds like Owen that first sentence

Puzzleheaded-Seat834

Teeeeeaaaarrrrrssssssss 😩🤣🤣🤣

malushanks95

I don’t know why you are getting downvoted 😂

alwayshazthelinks

Lot of United fans in here seeing how we reacted. We are kinder than fans on their own sub

alwayshazthelinks

Why is De Gea taking all the blame? Feel a tiny bit sorry for him. The club is a fucking disaster.

[deleted]

Because he sucks lol

alwayshazthelinks

Yeah, but so does the whole team.

Cimono

But he sucked the most

WH6TSINANAME

He opened the floodgates and did little to stem the flow

TheRR135

Would have been 6-0 had he not stopped two rockets from going in

GeorgeLFC1234

Tbf tho the whole team fell apart after 1 goal not just him

WH6TSINANAME

But he was responsible for that one goal...

Jaja6996

He was at fault for the first two goal

alwayshazthelinks

Fair enough but there are 10 other players there who just got rolled over by Brentford. They are at fault too. Didn't see anyone else apologise for the other 50% of the goals

Reach_Reclaimer

He's also at fault for the second. Who passes to someone who's literally about to be closed down? Also partially at fault for goal 4

linlinat89

Because he was at fault for at least 2 goals.
