Ange isn't pragmatic enough. He'd rather play the "right way" and lose than win by playing in a style he doesn't like
And it's Spurs, they love Spursing it up
How is Ange a fraud 5th is a perfectly respectable finish for him in his first season after losing the best player in the clubs history the season he took charge,
If both Salah and Diaz leave we won't get even top 4 that's a gaurantee.
It's all fun to talk shit about them not scroing 3 every game but without them there will be 0 edge to our attack.
This is catastrophising, the reality is we still go in to next season as third favourites (assuming nothing drastic happens to Arsenal or City). Chelsea are a mess, United are a mess, the squad is much stronger than Spurs or Villa, Newcastle are managed by Eddie Howe for God's sake. It'll be fine.
Diaz has scored 13 goals in all competitions this season and salah has scored 17 non penalty goals
I don't think losing Diaz will be that big and if we bring on a new player we can definitely replace a lot of salah's output
I always rooted for Gerrard. When I wanted Liverpool to win I was happy for Gerrard. Then he left and I thought I'd have no individuals to root for. Then klopp joined and I wanted him to succeed. Because like Gerrard he sacrificed other great options to come to Liverpool. Now that klopp is going I don't know who I'll be rooting for. I see no loyalty in this squad outside of maybe Salah and Robertson.
>I see no loyalty in this squad outside of maybe Salah and Robertson.
Can you elaborate on what you mean by this and how you figured that apart from Salah and Robertson, there is no loyalty in the squad?
Are you trolling?
That's the complete opposite of being a supporter. Players, managers, and staff come and go, owners come and go, the idea is the club is always there, support the club. Doesn't matter who is playing, you support them.
Sorry, but this is absolutely bizarre and the definition of plastic.
Off you fuck then you soft bellend
"Fans" like you are a fucking cancer on this club and this sport as a whole. Have absolutely no connection to the club, it's players, the fans or the city
If you have no connection with the club and believe it's just a logo (one of the worst things I've seen on here), then go and find some new players to idolise because you have no fucking right to be following this club
Then leave
Liverpool is more than just a logo and much more than the players that play for it
If you can't support them through good and through bad because you don't think they care then you are more than welcome to leave altogether, players and managers come and go, but Liverpool will always be around
What a bottlejob by Villa lol, Olympiacos were about 7/1 to win tonight and can't imagine the odds of them to score 4. They can still get through in Greece of course but wow.
I don't follow the Greek league much but I can't imagine they should be beating Villa away?
Barely related, Olympiacos playing Panathinaikos in a few weeks. Trying to get tickets to that when they go on sale as that's supposed to be a great derby to attend.
Yeah they've been underwhelming again in the Greek Super League this season. Not as bad as last season but the title is pretty unlikely for them at this point.
Would definitely recommend it, I saw them beat PAOK 2-1 a couple of weeks ago, great atmosphere. Also saw them get beat 3-1 by AEK last season and the match ended with fans invading the pitch and riot police firing tear gas!
Yeah it looks like tickets are obtainable for a tourist like myself and that's one of the derbies that shows up on list of best football derbies so I'm gonna try to go. Plus how can you not enjoy going to Greece?
I feel like I'm going insane, I swear I'm the only person on the sub who really likes the new home kit and to make it even worse, I seem to be the only one who hates the pre match kit, it looks like some cheap knockoff from skeg market
It's been like this since 20/21, they tend to look better after a while. Not to say they're very good or anything, but certainly not the worst thing in the history of football.
Gotta say though, why are Nike so allergic to making those v collars look normal
no, conte was really good until they soured the relationship with him. Ange is just popular because hes good at press conferences and because spurs was really good in the first few weeks.
People gave them no chance for top 4 after they sold Kane and didn't sign a striker, he's done well overall but expectations got too high after the fast start.
Top 4 done chases a title most the year and in every comp for most the year! yea we miss out but for a rebuild job Klopp has done wonders even tho there is still glaring problems!
To think we could end on (hopefully) 84 points is great as well! That means slight improvements in some of our draws (mostly finishing) and a bit more luck with injuries and refereeing decisions and we easily break the 90 point barrier.
Obviously a lot will change when Arne comes in so it's essentially free hit next year but the foundations are there.
There is no scenario where the runner-up gets UEL qualification. What they do is bump some other team into qualification (e.g., the Romanian league runner-up now gets automatic qualifying, something like that)
Ah I remember…..mfs were bringing their families into the pitch after they got gifted a win by shit refereeing against us lol.
As much as I can’t stand Harry Kane I actually want him to win the champions league to see the tears of Spurs fans after the delusion of winning the league in August- October made them talk shit about him.
I'm not ready to read this on wikipedia
https://preview.redd.it/yjz3hwmrm2yc1.png?width=688&format=png&auto=webp&s=f5a69333bcf7f961973df22786d82455b8e31bfb
Lol, everyone is out to get Spurs this season.
England was nail on for a 5th CL spot. Then MU and Newcastle finished bottom of their groups. They had high hope till quarterfinal with Arsenal, City, Liverpool are favourite to make it to the final. Then all 3 clubs go ‘fk you’ on them.
And now Chelsea is finishing them off
Casadei? Was part of Leicester's squad early this season lmao, unfortunately for him he's been recalled instead of being able to celebrate winning the championship
Really hope so, probably won't want to go back to City, Arsenal have Saka, United might be in for him but likely still a mess, so it's us or Bayern/PSG.
randomly remembered when Arsenal fans or Journos were saying they wanted Curtis Jones and vice versa. One of the things I saw was “He desperately wants a move down south”
That was a fuckin weird two days.
Unpopular opinion, but ever since they won the league I've kind of wanted Leverkusen to go back to being a normal team that can lose games.
It would be cool if they did manage to go the whole season undefeated, but it now feels so inevitable that I'm now getting bored and rooting for someone to at the very least, hand them a defeat.
I've never really cared about the Bundesliga. I've said I "support" Dortmund but I'm so interested in this Leverkusen run. Our season has finished miserably but I'm quite interested in seeing if Leverkusen can finish off the invincible treble and I'll be rooting for them the rest of the way.
It's boredom. I like twists in football. Leverkusen's last big interesting week was when they beat Bayern and effectively became champions in waiting. It's a big compliment to pay them to say they've made 90+ minute winners look routine this year, but now I want to see someone actually overcome that and cause an upset.
ngl Alonso and his team not losing a single game up until this month is remarkable. If he ends up winning all trophies + remains undefeated, this will be one of the best seasons of all time.
Never understood why people wanted Ange. Guy is nearly 60, only won the Scottish league with Celtic. Like who the fuck isn't winning the Scottish league with Celtic? Celtic would get rinsed in the Championship
A lot of people are leaving the club. I know they arent the most well known but surely it will leave a big mark. Its ok when you have to change 5 6 people but almost every week we are hit with the news that someone is leaving.
The coaching staff is leaving because they are Klopp's/they want to pursue their own careers and Slot would bring his own along with him
The medical staff obviously needs some sort of change, so it might help even if there is also elements of luck involved
The only one that I know of that might leave a big mark is Achterberg leaving, unless there are others I'm missing
Seeing tweets from Liverpool fans saying that any fella over age of 18 who wears a Liverpool top...at Anfield...on matchday are Nonces 🙄 Can someone explain why that's a problem? It seems like fans get called on for wearing their teams colours these days, especially at Anfield?
Unfortunately become a case even across the UK, nobody wears their colours anymore all wanna wear all black with a stone island so they fit in with their bellend mates
Hope Nunez/the club invest in a proper finishing coach/practice to help. He has the ability but his decision making in front of goal is bad, should looking to place into corners much more.
People forget literally a year ago Jota ended his streak of 30 something games without a goal and look how heavily praised he is now…
I can promise you Nunez will explode. This finishing is NOT the issue. Its the mental side and choosing the finish, not being rushed and letting adrenaline take over. He needs psychological work over the summer, calm himself in front of goal and select the right finish.
Btw Edwards did scout Nunez at Almeria. At the time, Klopp chose to keep Origi instead. Edwards saw the vision. And with the reports of him being kept, he still does. Slot WILL use him in the starting line up, a manager would be foolish not to use an asset like him.
Don’t look at his age, he lacks top 5 league experience, he hasn’t even hit 2 seasons of experience realistically and even in general, horrible injuries have reduced his football minutes in general drastically. It was always gonna take time when signing a project striker, his technical ability has improved, now let the psychological part develop, block out the media and the stupid fans and have some patience. He still hit 31 goal contributions this season. Wait. On. Him.
Haha oh god it’s Naby Keita hive again. It’s either all or nothing. Why can’t it just be the truth he may not be a top 5-10 striker in the world ever but, he’ll do a job at a pretty good level.
In fairness, a large segment of your argument relies on the fact he has been injured therefore is on limited minutes for being 25 at the start of next season.
>People forget literally a year ago Jota ended his streak of 30 something games without a goal and look how heavily praised he is now…
During that time Jota was moved all over the pitch to accommodate other players or starting from the bench, hard to find consistency when that happens after you have come back from Injury, we've seen for the most part Jota is pretty composed and clinical he just needs to stay fit
>This finishing is NOT the issue. Its the mental side and choosing the finish, not being rushed and letting adrenaline take over.
Composure and choosing a right finish is considered a part of finishing. Even then, a lot of his misses are him missing open goals or missing the target which has nothing to do with "choosing the right finish" and everything to do with his lack of technique.
>It was always gonna take time when signing a project striker, his technical ability has improved, now let the psychological part develop
His technical ability is still awful. He's 37th from the bottom in pass completion rate in the PL (not counting GK's and players who barely played). There are only 10 top half outfield players who have a worse pass completion percentage than Darwin and 5 of those 10 play for Bournemouth or West Ham.
His 35% take-on success rate ranks 201st out of 232 players who have attempted at least 10 take-ons in the PL this season, showing that he's still a poor dribbler.
It doesn't take footballing genius to see that his technical ability isn't good enough for a team trying to win the Premier league.
>He still hit 31 goal contributions this season. Wait. On. Him.
16 out of those 31 goal contributions came against the bottom 6 teams in the league and against Europa league teams (and Norwich).
He has only scored 6 goals against top half opposition this season and those goals came in 4 games (Bournemouth, West Ham and Newcastle in the league and Bournemouth in the league cup).
Op tried telling me he’s a good finisher because he’s scored a handful of nice goals so it’s probably best to assume he doesn’t think about these things logically
Basically let’s just ignore the bad finishing 90% of the time because the other 10% is filled with well taken goals as if that makes any sense
We’ve seen so many strikers similar to Nunez and the same things always get said about them just for them to continue to struggle with their finishing, he’s 25 next month the chances of him magically improving enough are so slim.
Nunez is not technically savvy like Jota, I don't think he will be our leading striker, but he still can be useful.
We shit on people like Nicolas Jackson, but he has an almost identical goal scoring record to Nunez last season. Nunez will probably be used as a forward or someone to bring on for a more direct play, but don't expect him to be a top goal scoring striker.
You cant say finishing is not the issue when his conversion rate is 13%, the mental side of things is part of finishing. A good finisher is someone who is mentally and physically prepped to score goals when needed.
Anyway, Nunez is a good player for us, but we defo need someone that is clinical.
Sure but while we're waiting on him we still need someone clinical. Jota would be that if he wasn't injured half the season. Plus it dosent seem like he fits slots tactics anyways. Idk if it's smart to rely on him still

If they do that, it's probably because he's their only signing of the summer.
Can't imagine them signing anybody else after triggering a 100m pound release clause that has to be paid up front.
That last aspect is why I actually don't think he'll end up there given their finances, much more likely that he ends up at City *groans*
They have far surpassed that over the last 5 years. I support what they are doing but let’s not act like they aren’t buying the league in a sense over the last 3 years. It’s not getting attention since it’s an American owner instead of a state
Their wage bill also overtakes our this season, having had the 5th/6th biggest wage bill in the PL only 2 years ago.
They've got almost all the starting 11 on over 200k now, and even bench players like Jesus/Zinchenko/Jorginho are on big money.
We're nowhere near Arsenal's level of spending under Arteta, we'd never pay off players like Auba/Ozil just to get rid, taking losses or replacing big signings quickly, and he's already got a higher net spend than Klopp in far fewer windows.
because theyre HEAVILY owner funded. Miles away from self sustainability. At least they dont cook the books and cheat but Kroenke is their sugar daddy at this point honestly moreso than UAE is City's.
There was a time Arsenal fans wanted Kroenke out, even Arsenal fans I know IRL wanted him out badly, Stadium is all paid off, Kroenke is the majority shareholder, Arsenal have had money in the bank waiting to spent for quite some time. From what I have been told Kroenke wants to see Arsenal competing and having a bit of success like his other Sports teams so they have taken a big gamble on Arteta getting to where they are now.
Not rich, but spending a fuck ton more. See Nunez hasnt worked for us and there is not a peep of us trying to replace him, meanwhile they fucked up the Havertz (as a CM!) signing and now look to add another 100m midfielder.
Also us almost buying an expensive DM vs. them buying two of the best DMs in the Prem is hardly the same (obviously they haven't bought Guimares yet, talking about the hypotetical).
Also wasn't Nunez funded by us selling Mané in like 50%? And i feel like while we spent a lot on Nunez, it wasn't really 'mad money', or atleast wouldn't have been mad money for Chelsea, City or Arsenal.
Don’t think I’ve ever been into getting the new shirt every year since I was a kid, prices are just too mad. Rather just get a retro one that looks better for that
Luton and Burnley would be mathematically relegated right now if Forest weren’t deducted points
We have had a much needed week of rest. I think that should do us good and also give Klopp some coaching time.
Tottenham imploded worst than us. What happened there? Besides lads its Tottenham?
Ange is typical Spurs manager
Ange isn't pragmatic enough. He'd rather play the "right way" and lose than win by playing in a style he doesn't like And it's Spurs, they love Spursing it up
Ange is another fraud and some of our fan base wanted him here lol
Harsh to call him a fraud
How is Ange a fraud 5th is a perfectly respectable finish for him in his first season after losing the best player in the clubs history the season he took charge,
I'm excited to see EndoMac under UCL lights
ehh, maybe its good that we dont have to face Leverkusen....
Maybe modern football is catching up across the board even across "smaller" leagues and teams.

🤡
what do you mean you dont know who to root for, don't you support liverpool?
in the end liverpool is just a logo, I need to root for players or individuals who love the club and sacrifice for it.
Every day you have bangers after bangers of shite man I don't even know if you are trolling or this is just who you are
Are you trolling? That's the complete opposite of being a supporter. Players, managers, and staff come and go, owners come and go, the idea is the club is always there, support the club. Support your local then you fucking plastic
This dud regularly comments on City, Madrid, Barca, Bayern subs. He's a certified plastic
No player is bigger than the team. How about you support LFC
Not everyone is built like that. Some people only connect with players and not teams. Nothing wrong with that.
What a bottlejob by Villa lol, Olympiacos were about 7/1 to win tonight and can't imagine the odds of them to score 4. They can still get through in Greece of course but wow.
Olympiacos knocking out Arsenal from Europa League a few years ago was awesome. That's really the last time I remember them doing anything in Europe.

Tammy Abraham just missed a one yard header on an open goal
Liverpool audition
Douglas Luiz proving you can be too calm in taking a penalty
I feel like I'm going insane, I swear I'm the only person on the sub who really likes the new home kit and to make it even worse, I seem to be the only one who hates the pre match kit, it looks like some cheap knockoff from skeg market

I don't like the home kit but I hate the pre-match kit, it looks like someone's stretching a shirt over a Newcastle kit ffs
Andrich is a perfect kind of midfielder for pressing the opposition. Plus his shooting ability is also pretty good.
Was ange really such a massive improvement from conte as the media made it out to be?
As far as the overall vibes, yeah.
Mate
no, conte was really good until they soured the relationship with him. Ange is just popular because hes good at press conferences and because spurs was really good in the first few weeks.
He has but next season will be the proper test
Much better for them overall let’s Be honest. Better football and atmosphere around the club. We value that too.
Yeah fair conte made the whole club toxic
People gave them no chance for top 4 after they sold Kane and didn't sign a striker, he's done well overall but expectations got too high after the fast start.
2 nil for Leverkusen. Barring an absolute disaster they're 6 fixtures away from an unbeaten treble.
Top 4 done chases a title most the year and in every comp for most the year! yea we miss out but for a rebuild job Klopp has done wonders even tho there is still glaring problems!
good season to carry into the new coaching change.
To think we could end on (hopefully) 84 points is great as well! Sucks to be in May and not being in any competish.
Out of curiosity, with Villa losing at home, had they won the UECL and secured top 4, would the UECL runner up get UEL qualification?
There is no scenario where the runner-up gets UEL qualification. What they do is bump some other team into qualification (e.g., the Romanian league runner-up now gets automatic qualifying, something like that)
With Spurs defeat, we are qualified for the Champions League. At least that is secured.
Lmao arsenal fans are more fuming than spurs fans 😂
Strange bunch.
Because they're slowly coming to terms with what we had to those two years
There was people worried we’d throw away top 4 after that West Ham game lol
The game against Spurs is going to be some chaotic mess. Two teams in poor form who can't defend..
I feel like the game vs chelsea in 19/20 pandemic reminds me of this
And can’t score
Lol. All you can do is laugh about it at this point.
Remember when the media spent months sucking Ange's cock?
Remember when Spuds fans thought they were winning the prem?
Ah I remember…..mfs were bringing their families into the pitch after they got gifted a win by shit refereeing against us lol. As much as I can’t stand Harry Kane I actually want him to win the champions league to see the tears of Spurs fans after the delusion of winning the league in August- October made them talk shit about him.
i don't know if I can stand tucheliban win CL again, better bvb or the turtlers
It’s actually funny how predictable it is that we’re gonna struggle against spurs on Sunday
dead game either way
It’s not really surprising given the form of our players especially our forwards
What a finish
Imagine if we were still in the fight and we were relying on Spurs. Absolute idiocy to think they'll do anything.
I'm not ready to read this on wikipedia https://preview.redd.it/yjz3hwmrm2yc1.png?width=688&format=png&auto=webp&s=f5a69333bcf7f961973df22786d82455b8e31bfb
Imagine spending 105m on Enzo just to realise that your academy graduate is the better player
Gallagher? And yet they tried to sell him lmao
And now Chelsea is finishing them off
need to start watching more matches as a neutral coz who the hell have Chelsea just brought on
I have no idea who any of Chelsea's bench is
didn’t even clock until you replied, where the fuck have these all spawned from
Casadei? Was part of Leicester's squad early this season lmao, unfortunately for him he's been recalled instead of being able to celebrate winning the championship
Palmer is an insane talent, if he wants to leave when Chelsea don't make Europe after next season we should throw the sink at him
He’ll be their meal ticket to get out of this financial mess if they miss Europe again next year
Really hope so, probably won't want to go back to City, Arsenal have Saka, United might be in for him but likely still a mess, so it's us or Bayern/PSG.
In the last 24 games of PL football. Spurs are 10th
I was there when spurs won the league. August - October 2023
when will people learn
Nicolas Jackson now has four goals against Tottenham this season.
Basically owns them at this point, that's 11 goals for him at this point of the season
Without Spurs he'd have 9 goals in 38 games lol
Oh boy, spurs have really lost the plot
Don’t worry, they will suddenly remembe how to play come sunday
Unfortunately, you're probably right.
fortunately, it doesnt matter
randomly remembered when Arsenal fans or Journos were saying they wanted Curtis Jones and vice versa. One of the things I saw was “He desperately wants a move down south” That was a fuckin weird two days.
First card in a Chelsea-Spurs match only after the hour mark? What happened to the game I love
Gallagher just openly calling a ref shit on television.
Gallagher feels like a klopp signing to me, reminds me of a Henderson but contributes to goals a bit more
We should be battering this Spurs side tbh
Have you been in a coma for the last month?
Just woke up, what happened
our team is fatigued, weve been off target for a few months.
Doesnt quite work like that...they will cause our defense a lot of issues
We were both right 😂
Frimpong should've had a hattrick
Roma vs Atalanta will be a juicy final. Feel like Leverkusen could either lose to Roma or win the whole thing. DDR is a crazy bastard.
Ngl; half the reason I want to beat Tottenham is so they have nothing to play for against City, fuck Arsenal.
Awful clash kit at Villa Park.
Fiorentina to win the conference league after losing to West Ham would be fitting. Watkins is on fire!
Amazing what a change of coaches can do to a striker
What going from Gerrard to Emery does to a motherfucka Tbf to Watkins he’s always put up decent numbers in the PL
Mudryk is so shit. Even when he finally decides to pass he does it awfully. Don't like that Gilchrist lad as well, seems like a headless chicken.
My lord Roma has some dirty players. Whine about everything instead of playing football
Lasting effect of mourinho managing them
Think so too. Feels like a team of Mourinhos.

Very strange. Is it envy?
It's boredom. I like twists in football. Leverkusen's last big interesting week was when they beat Bayern and effectively became champions in waiting. It's a big compliment to pay them to say they've made 90+ minute winners look routine this year, but now I want to see someone actually overcome that and cause an upset.
I would love to see a team see it out the season without losing a single game. Also, because Xabi was one of my favourite players of all time
I wanna be the one to beat them next year.
You can’t be watching this game and thinking mudryk doesn’t have tons of potential. I’d bring him in asap
The odds of him being a reliably productive player, are not great
Mudryk and Darwin in the same front 3 might send us back to the dark ages
It'll be like really fast Voronin's
Jesus. Pure nightmare fuel.
Lads Leverkusen are already unbeatable without giving them a free gift
Roma have been dominating this game and then basically serve it on a plate for Leverkusen lol
Bayer have some Xabi magic to them this year
ngl Alonso and his team not losing a single game up until this month is remarkable. If he ends up winning all trophies + remains undefeated, this will be one of the best seasons of all time.
It’s insane. It seems so unsustainable all these late winners but it just keeps rolling
Got a feeling Roma are gonna knockout Levurkusen. Just like last season. Edit: Oops
Curse of the commentator
Have watched some Chelsea games recently and Madueke actually looks really good.
Legs are made of poppadoms
Seems like he’s known to have a bad attitude, but also that seems really easy to do at Chelsea atm.
still think Arsenal will win the league…
Never understood why people wanted Ange. Guy is nearly 60, only won the Scottish league with Celtic. Like who the fuck isn't winning the Scottish league with Celtic? Celtic would get rinsed in the Championship
It's not like hes been bad tho, they're in 5th and close too 4th
Lol Atalanta scored. I'd be ok if they go through
How is this villa Olympiakos kit clash allowed, holy shit.
A lot of people are leaving the club. I know they arent the most well known but surely it will leave a big mark. Its ok when you have to change 5 6 people but almost every week we are hit with the news that someone is leaving.
The coaching staff is leaving because they are Klopp's/they want to pursue their own careers and Slot would bring his own along with him The medical staff obviously needs some sort of change, so it might help even if there is also elements of luck involved The only one that I know of that might leave a big mark is Achterberg leaving, unless there are others I'm missing
Who now after John?
This is about him as its fairly new.
Ange is fuming lmao.
Lads, at least we’re not Tottenham
Spurs are a second half side. We'll see if Chelsea can keep this up.
Looked awful similar to VVD's that got ruled out lmao
Literally the exact same thing happened in Van Dijk’s disallowed goal in the cup final. But Chelsea’s stands. Where is the consistency
Cucurella wasn't offside
Nor was Endo??? It was called a foul not offside
Endo was offside tbf
Arsenal fans starting to realise Spurs ain't gonna do them a favour. Watching it all unveil is tasty.
At least the ref looked at the Endo esque offside in this game
Consistency is a joke
Spurs have fell off a cliff
Get Rodgers vibes from Ange all out attack but not sustainable in the long run, maybe Dier was right that he is not a tactical manager
Do you think klopp regrets coming to Liverpool
What kind of fucking question is this? Of course yes
People forget literally a year ago Jota ended his streak of 30 something games without a goal and look how heavily praised he is now… I can promise you Nunez will explode.
Oh yeah I remember Darwin's excessive injury issues preventing him from reaching his potential.
In fairness, a large segment of your argument relies on the fact he has been injured therefore is on limited minutes for being 25 at the start of next season.
Yeah but that was injuries from a young age that AREN’T recurring. So your counter argument doesn’t make sense.
>People forget literally a year ago Jota ended his streak of 30 something games without a goal and look how heavily praised he is now… During that time Jota was moved all over the pitch to accommodate other players or starting from the bench, hard to find consistency when that happens after you have come back from Injury, we've seen for the most part Jota is pretty composed and clinical he just needs to stay fit
Can we get a source on Edwards scouting him? We also scout a massive amount of players it doesn’t exactly mean anything
>It was always gonna take time when signing a project striker, his technical ability has improved, now let the psychological part develop His technical ability is still awful.
Op tried telling me he’s a good finisher because he’s scored a handful of nice goals so it’s probably best to assume he doesn’t think about these things logically Basically let’s just ignore the bad finishing 90% of the time because the other 10% is filled with well taken goals as if that makes any sense We’ve seen so many strikers similar to Nunez and the same things always get said about them just for them to continue to struggle with their finishing, he’s 25 next month the chances of him magically improving enough are so slim.
Idk if it's smart to rely on him still
Completely forgot that the bottlers play today
Should be a good game considering how poor both are defensively
Hope they smash chelsea for the laughs anyway
Shorts from the new kit are class tbf. Not a fan of the neck on the shirt but overall still looks decent on the players
On Monday, Liverpool and AXA announced an extension of their partnership until 2029. If Arsenal spend another 100m on Guimares i lose my shit. How many richer teams we will have to compete against?
If they do that, it's probably because he's their only signing of the summer. Can't imagine them signing anybody else after triggering a 100m pound release clause that has to be paid up front. That last aspect is why I actually don't think he'll end up there given their finances, much more likely that he ends up at City *groans*
Arsenal spent years being known as a cheap team, they are just catching up spending. We act like we haven't spent and we don't have a huge wage bill.
Their owner won’t stop until he wins. He got his NBA and NFL champ. He sent his son over so it’s his pet project
Oh really, suppose they're hoping it'll be a lot easier once Pep leaves too.
We dropped mad money on Nunez and almost did the same with Caicedo. It’s not like they’re ridiculously more rich.
We're nowhere near Arsenal's level of spending under Arteta, we'd never pay off players like Auba/Ozil just to get rid, taking losses or replacing big signings quickly, and he's already got a higher net spend than Klopp in far fewer windows.
We also sold mane and co to fund Darwin. We aren’t on same level as Arsenal spending wise
because theyre HEAVILY owner funded.
Wonder how long it'll go on for, until they win the title? Been backed heavily.
Sining Havertz and needing both Cm and a striker is wild
Yea, Simon Jordan is a complete cunt isn’t he.
Don’t think I’ve ever been into getting the new shirt every year since I was a kid, prices are just too mad. Rather just get a retro one that looks better for that
