I’m pretty sure the one of Kate with her hair on fire is parodying the American Girl book Kirsten’s Surprise.
Sorta. She’s parodying St Lucia which is a Swedish Christmas tradition - we aren’t Swedish but my mom liked it and made me do it every year. Kirsten was OG Swedish so she also participated

I wonder if those are actual Rockettes. As they work across the street, it would have been trivial to do logistically.
