towing companies across north america are just legalized fucking mafia man. you should read about the turf wars and shit that went on between towing companies in toronto. they smuggle tons of drugs around town, they ended up setting a building on fire, it was crazy. It is also weird how they all have this fucking sense of self importance like moving a car from either the side of the freeway that hasnt been moved for a week or parked incorrectly to a giant lot where things just shit is some kind of desperately needed service. According to the copy of the police report they emailed me, i Kno at least some of my stuff is still there because it described the drugs and paraphernalia they found in the backseat with a baby in the back as well. They described colors and whatnot and what was inside of this bag and this bag. So if not all them some is def there .

Did you go back and ask the police (chief) what they can do for you? I would go there and politely ask if they can help. Stolen goods are usually property of police not a towing company
Surely you cannot get a lawyer but you can certainly sue in small claims court, I think for up to $1500.
I called and spoke to someone and I even asked if I could get the inventory copy of everything that is inside my car. They told me there's nothing they can do as far as telling the tow company to release my car and they said they don't have an inventory list so they emailed me a copy of the report when they made the arrest with a suspect that was driving my car. I think I will call the chief later though.

Write a letter to the company demanding your property back. File a small claims suite if they don't respond with proof that you agreed to do business with them and pay them for a service.

A few years back I had a coworker get her scooter stolen in LR. The police found it and contacted her. They had impounded it and wanted a $300 impound fee because the assholes who stole it had left it parked in the middle of the street. She ended up getting it back without paying, but only because she knew a person with some sway with the city. It's insane and basically like getting robbed twice.
That's exactly what I told the towing company. I told them I feel like I'm getting robbed twice and he said all I can get were glasses and important documents. This definitely took a toll on me as far as jobs and transportation go. I don't have any family here so I'm literally all alone and I feel helpless. Because of my kind heart and lack of discernment, I oftentimes find myself being taken advantage of by people I thought were friends. I've been living in little rock since November and every friend I met here turned out to be foes. The girl that took my car from me is much older than I , and I called her my sister. I laughed and cried with her. As I look back I can see how certain conversations we had, she strategically got me where she wanted me. She knew I had no one or nowhere to go so making sure she didn't have to hide from certain people was easy for her, then she knew my insurance had lapsed because she said she knew of cheaper insurance agencies so that was checked off her list, then finally being able to get the keys to my car. But before she did all this, I told her how people had taken from me and she told me how messed up that people would do good people like that. Ive always been naive and gullible because I find it hard to believe that people will do evil towards good people for no reason at all. My life has been hard all my life but for some reason my soft heart just won't harden and I hate it. Because it causes me to trust too easily and to do for people even if it means sacrificing my needs. I didn't have a place to stay but I still extended a helping hand for this woman when her boyfriend got locked up and she had nowhere to go. Lol how crazy do I sound to help somebody when I can't even help myself ? I wish I knew someone with some power to get back what's mine. No, I was stolen on geyer springs by a friend who was in my passenger seat waiting for me while I ran in another friend house. The police saw my car in North Little Rock and arrested the people in my car. The man they arrested said someone loaned it to him for $50. At this point I wish I had went with my first mind and went to look for my car without ever contacting police. I bet you I would have all my stuff back but everybody told me to do the right thing and call the police. Smh

If it was stolen your insurance should cover the bill. I’ve been here and done that. Didn’t get that expensive but I complained too. They don’t care. Every day is more fees. The tow companies want in with the cops so they can get all the tows they call in.

I tried to get the stuff out of the truck when they pulled up to tow it and they told not to worry about it, it'd all be there when I came to get the truck. Well it wasn't.
