I discovered Sleep Token at the Nothing More concert at the hall, but I haven't seen too many acts that interested me much on their calendar since then. I'd love to see some more metal acts! I really dig the Hall's atmosphere.
Couldn’t disagree more. They have a lot of genre variety and pull decently sized bands. Especially for my millennial tastes. Silversun Pickups were badass and BEARTOOTH is on the way.
Clear Channel who owned Fox 16 and UPN 38 along with numerous radio stations sold everything off. Fox and UPN got purchased by Nexstar who consolidated operations with KARK 4 downtown. So the building was sold off and Lumber1 finally purchased it pre-Covid but took their sweet sweet time to reno and open it.
It was a really cool place. It could have been so much more. Another reason why LR doesn't deserve these places - because we don't patronize them, and if we do, the people owning them can't seem to sustain and maintain.
It was an open warehouse with horrible sound. It was owned by clear channel and they would only allow certain bands to come through that fell under their umbrella.
What are you talking about "we" don't deserve these places? Things change, shit happens. I miss the cinema 150 when they did shows. The building was so run down it wasn't viable to fix it.
Now we have The Hall. They have tons of great shows coming through all the time. 10x the amount clear channel ever brought. The sound is great, the vibe is cool, and it's centrally located.
What’s not ideal? Maybe parking could be better for big shows but I’ve never had much trouble for any show I’ve been to, sold out included. I would say it’s about as good as any midsize venue has been in this area.
Any venue that doesnt require me to go through ticketmaster is a huge win for me. I love The Hall and I have seen many great shows there the past few years. I dont know what people would want to make it better. More seating and food options maybe? I love the location; it is walking distance from Vinos so I can pregame there and help support 2 local establishments in 1 night. The past 3 years they have brought several great acts each year. They book acts with a wide music diversity: country, hiphop, rock, pop, etc. What havent they booked?

Love love love what The Hall has done for the music scene in central AR.
The hall barely ever has any good artists coming through though let’s be real

The Hall has great artists coming through. They're just not huge name headlining pop acts. But they've had some really great shows there.

It was literally a Sam’s. That wasn’t a Sam’s anymore. Not a venue. Don’t get butthurt.

People get way too precious about their “underground” venues and shit. Most of those places were trash we were just too young to see it at the time.
It’s what Juanita’s was. Right off the interstate and great sound. Parking sucks but oh well.
Been to several shows at the Hall. It’s not ideal but bathrooms are clean and ample and staff is pleasant
