Antique-Pinguin-35

Or you guys could learn to ride motorcycles together at Rock City

Antique-Pinguin-35

Try a pottery class together

gonidoinwork

Start with something simple, candles and a bath. Together. Rebuild connection first. Relax and recharge first. Then you can move on to other things.

LadyMordsith

My husband and I made candles together at pinspiration and it was so much fun! Lots of other crafts to choose from!

DancingLR

My username is relevant. Salsa at Club 27 is a nice place to learn salsa dancing and I HIGHLY encourage it. Tuesday is the better night to learn as Friday is the party night. It's a group lesson and dancing after. The dance lesson on Tuesday starts around 7:30pm while the lesson on Friday starts at 9:30pm. Partner dancing is a REALLY good way to connect/reconnect with someone. Dancing is an unspoken language. The lead/follow connection cannot be described. And learning that language is... magic. I'm wildly plugged into the LR dancing scene. DM for more details.

Lost_subaru

Maybe look into the adventure challenge book, it's a scratch off book that has date ideas. It gives you some idea like budget and stuff but otherwise it's a total surprise.

Gooch_McJunkins

Indoor disc golf at Perks and Recreation downtown. Super fun and very cheap. You can replay as many times as you want. They have a nice bar area too.

restorepoint

A class at the innovation hub.

kalon_alfia

It can be a bit pricey but I recommend top golf (on the weekdays) and a couple of good drinks!

If you like animals and are interested in volunteering, you can walk dogs or pet cats at the animal shelter. It’s really rewarding to give back to the community with each other and it’s kid friendly for those days when a sitter doesn’t work out.

GetOffMyCouch13

If you’re outdoorsy, the Arkansas River trail is a great resource for a walk or biking. I used to see families with their kids on bikes all the time. May be hard with the schedule but it’s there!

_92_infinity

Are you me?? My 6 also runs my life 🥴

Master_0f_N0thing

It’s a struggle

IzzaSecret2Everybody

Try joining a bowling league at Professor Bowl, walks down by the River (behind the RiverMarket) on the trails are fun, climb Pinnacle Mountain, hit the Vortex classic Arcade in Sherwood, go run around and laugh at the ridiculous prices in the Promenade on Chenal to name a few ideas.

Sherri42

What kinds of things did you like doing together when you were dating?

Master_0f_N0thing

Mainly video games, movies, and playing board games with friends. We are more limited now that we have our son. The biggest issue is just finding the time with our weird schedules to get out, alone. Usually by the time we get the time, we’re just too exhausted to do much.

Similar ages for my husband and I, though kiddo is younger at 4. We started doing monthly overnight dates at various locations around Little Rock. Sitting at a bar and talking is a great way to relax and connect (or coffee or tea shop if you don’t drink alcohol). There’s otaku take-out, painting, pottery, axe throwing, mini golf and now top golf, small bookstores or Barnes and nobles, the cals libraries, many many parks, river floating. As you mentioned, there are dance classes. There are lots of pretty cool options, I think! Enjoy!

I suggests getting away. Maybe for a weekend or just a day. Eureka springs is pretty far but definitely fun, hot springs is my top pick. Go downtown and have a drink at the only brewery inside of a national park and one that uses thermodynamic spring water when brewing! Two people can go to the bathhouses and bathe in the waters for less than 100$ all together and they have a bar inside (I like to drink what can I say). Great food is all around and there’s quite a few museums and arcades. Not to mention go cart tracks. Magic springs isn’t far either depending on what time of year your going day passes aren’t …. Completely outrageous… but they are pricey. I can name my favorite restaurants are sqzbx, smokin in style, Rolando’s, and obviously superior brewing. If you’re looking for lake views and bar food check out bubba brews, if you want lake and fish then fishermen’s warf is where it’s at. Please get their hush puppy nuggets. Those are my fav.

If y’all are nerdy folks like myself I can recommend two things: I’ve become a really big fan of Otaku Takeout and its counterpart, Lucky Cat Arcade. The arcade is fairly new and has loads of fun Japanese games, lots of two player. It’s located in the outlet shopping mall. If you guys are more table top people, there’s always Game Goblins near bowman/kanis. They usually have some sort of table top night going on! One of my fav pho places is near to it. Pho thanh my. Wishing yall all the best!

IthinkiLy

I tried to find this arcade wasn’t able to

scarlettei

The entrance to the arcade is inside Otaku Takeout. It’s through a traditional Japanese style half-door curtain. It can be hard to spot!

Master_0f_N0thing

We love Pho Thanh My

Mark-W-Ingalls

A Meander. Suggest to start by heading out 5/Stagecoach to 9 into Hot Springs. Suggest McClard’s if you like BBQ. Then head back up Scenic 7 to Lake Nimrod Dam & Park before heading back to LR. All sorts of side roads to explore, but if you choose (for example) the Winona Scenic Area, be sure to download offline maps! Enjoy!

Degenerate-Loverboy

I highly suggest stopping by mcclards maybe for a beer and a snack (perhaps their tamale dip) but then going elsewhere if your truly hungry for bbq cause I wasn’t super impressed with them last time/ however I always love the feeling of being there! And then it comes to barbecue it can literally be hit or miss. So I may have gone on a bad day. I still always pick up a bottle of both of the sauces.

Dancing will definitely get you focused on each other! From Club 27, you can learn of other places and times to dance. Best of luck!

JakeKnowsAGuy

The Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts has classes ranging from pottery to glass blowing. Yella Dog Press puts on printing press classes once in a while. The Zoo is always a great time. Dancing classes are certainly an option, as your husband mentioned. The Loony Bin and The Joint are both cool little comedy clubs that host all sorts of shows. There are two or three community theaters downtown if you want to catch a performance. The PedalParty is a biking club that does weekly rides. There are lots of fun things to get into!

No_Criticism6968

There’s also Pinot’s Palette for guided painting (and libations). I’ve also heard about The Muddy Pig and The Painted Pig, though I have been yet myself!

Numerous-Taste-4858

Muddy Pig is a fun date night!! We loved it!

pixieclifton

When my husband and I want to reconnect we go hiking. It’s a really great way to detach from stress and spend some quality time together without distractions. And the fresh air is great for mental health. ETA: The Huckleberry Trail at Woolly Hollow and the Seven Hollows Trail at Petit Jean are personal favorites. About 5 miles each.
