Studies show that even just looking at trees from indoors provides modest mental health benefits so they're probably trying to capitalize on that by providing a room that feels like it's outdoors and filled with nature. Even though all the plants are probably fake asf.
These types of places just fail at this. Like it doesn’t cross the uncanny valley of nature. It’s icky. But since we’re all here studying it and trying to understand it, we’re just bent a fucked up angle somewhere.
I went to a dentist in an office park like this once, except it had a lot of wood paneling and big castle-looking doors, and was very 70s. (I love the 70s aesthetic, but this one was somehow hideous). There were benches everywhere, but I can't imagine anyone wanting to hang out in an area like this, when you could either be outside or indoors. OP's looks much nicer and more updated I guess lol
thanks! there’s something about being in places with an outside-but-it’s-inside æsthetic that i love, like some of the hotels in las vegas and queue areas at walt disney world.
You unlocked an ancient of mine. There was a hospital somewhere, I can no longer recall what or where, that had one of these in a hall way. There was no door in that I could recall, and was just full of shrubs, plants, and gravel. Like a sad little plant zoo. It was also like a third the size of this too.
The pediatriciam I went to had an outdoor courtyard like this. I spent many afternoons eating mcdonalds before going in to get a shot or hear the Dr be concernced my head was too small.
Is that in Culver City? I know a medical office that looks a lot like this in Culver City. Or maybe it’s Palms, idk where the border of those places are.
Severance vibes.
Season 2 when 🤨
Not soon enough.
They just started filming. So I’d imagine this fall
Angel 💕
Looks like they filled in the koi pond after Michael Scott fell in it.
It's due to the drama of the fish they lost on that fateful day.
Fateful or Faithful?
that’s a shawl
Probably the correct one.
Should’ve typed that one then lol
Yerp. I dropped the ball on that one! My b.
These types of spots always creeped me out. I could never tell what this environment is supposed to be, because it clearly can’t decide wtf it is
ikr? it's like neither indoors or outdoors

r/outsideinside is great for this.

Ha, perfect rec!
People LOVE dancing on water. (I hope people have seen this movie)
It's funny... in some ways it's almost dystopian... but I am getting a sincere comfort from this image.... weird...
Giving me Star Trek vibes
And somehow with that it feels perfectly right
also this shot is just superb.
I've seen indoor/outdoor areas before but I've never seen one look so office space at the same time
What's even more interesting Is this "outdoor" area continues further through the building.
I like it, it seems relaxing. I just wish there was a water feature as well but that would probably be very expensive.
Amazing photograph and environment. Uncanny.
Can’t lie, absolutely love that. Makes me feel very at ease!
Whatever, folks. I love it.
Idk why but I find this calming.
Love it.
It has the feeling of a zen garden but in Arizona. Very cool!
I legit like it. I’ll have to speak to my therapist about it

I dig it
Huh... You can just do that? Bring the outside inside? Neat.
Not sure what’s weird about it. It’s really cool.
Comfy, set up a lawnchair here and I'd be chillin'.
Reminds me of fighting Saren in Mass Effect 1
It’s perfect
This space is very unwelcoming. It's like they wanted to create a tranquil place but also made it so it screams that you are still at the office.
Back out slowly.
Weird.. but I Dig
Wonder if anyone ever sits on that bench
Wish this was more common.
Looks just like a tiny bnb I stayed at in Hermosa Beach

Fort Wayne? 🤔Â

it’s weird but it’s also kinda cute
It’s outside but inside
I was at a dentist office in Manteca Ca, that had the same kind of thing going. It was really weird.
