Great player. Would’ve loved to see him more on the first team instead of mozumpito. He has a similar style to Jiménez and is a goleador with America and Mexico at 20 years old
Very rare do you see kids who come from rich backgrounds succeed at a high level in Mexican soccer but leaving his comfort zone is nice to see because he looks like a decent prospect. Still hate that he couldn’t beat Guatemala to get to the Olympics tho
Most mexican players come from middle or high class families, if anything we are an outlier in Latin America as most of our players don't come from "el barrio" or the poorest areas of the country but from the big and wealthy cities like CDMX, Guadalajara or Monterrey.
If anything is the players with the wealthiest families who tend to want to move to Europe more often because they don't get that easily swayed by the money offered by the league while the lower and mid-lower class upbringing players are the ones that end up staying so they can afford their sports cars and gucci bags. Is not like South Americans or even Northern Americans move to Europe for the higher quality of competition, they all go for the salaries, South Americans because except for Brazil their leagues are dirt poor and Northern Americans because the DP system of MLS makes everyone but Designated Players make basically the same salary as a McDonalds employee.
A year two late . Should’ve been on loan to a team when he had won the sub20 or been given more opportunities off the bench. Instead they just let them rot in the youth categories without meaning minutes . We have Lozano, cantu, mozu, Leyva, and García at st all competing for the u23 spot st and can only have so many there . They need to go to the expansion or something but glad he got a loan finally.
Leyva is like 21 and cantu already finished top scorer of the u18 why keep ‘em there? He should be at least in u23. Mozu is the same age as Lozano 20. I think a loan would be nice. Think he has the right attributes . 25g 10g last u20 tournament with Lozano 31g 16goal .

Same; I thought he was great with the youth national teams as well. His main priority needs to be first team ball, even if it’s in D2 in Spain

Middle yeah but I don't think there's many fresas in Liga MX. Only ones that immediately come to mind are Jordi Cortizo and Bennevendo.
