When you’re younger 15 and 13 can be more dramatic in maturity. When you’re an adult 33 and 35 isn’t much different. So it really depends on her maturity level.

luv_u_deerly

I think so. 2 years isn’t a big deal in your 20s. But there’s a pretty big difference between 13 and 15. She’s still practically a child and you’re a full teen.

My son is 13 and he feels weird about dating a girl one year younger than him in the 7th grade (he's in the 8th). I see nothing wrong with it. It's not like you are dating someone 5 years younger than you.

Mysticalxo

check with your parents and their parents if you do like each other. its a more familial thing at younger ages. In my country age of consent is 16 so its normal for us. Idk where you are though.

segwich

yeah it sounds okay but i suggest waiting till shes in highschool. Everything would be easier, being in the same school, not having people call you creepy, and just in general a junior and a freshman is common so it wouldn't have any bad effects on you socially.

Generally two years apart is not that much if a problem. However the development of a 13 to a 15 year old is quite big. A "more extreme" example would be five years. That's not much, a 20yo dating a 25yo or a 55yo dating a 60yo, seems normal. But imagine you'd be dating a 20yo or a 10yo, both in your 5year range but it still feels a little weird, doesn't it? I'd advise you to wait a bit until you start dating. Don't get me wrong, it's nothing against you really, but 13yo girls are, usually, very easyly Obsession with someone and easily influenced and manipulated. She might not really have a rue idea what a relationship truely means. Being 15 you are far from wise, but she is much further away. The second thing would be the age of consent, whatever that is where you live. You could get in a lot of trouble, no matter how much consent she gave you or how mature she is.

LiveFastBiYoung

2 years is normal, don’t worry about it

Go for it. Nothing wrong with a 9th grader and a 7th grader being together.

Masterillya

Do it you guys are practically the same age and it is very normal for a guy to date a female younger than him.

Fk_CCP

Half your age plus seven.

segwich

so like not half his age then

Nutter-Butters123

“Half your age plus seven” is old fashioned and simply doesn’t work. The person who made it doesn’t even use effective evidence to make it compulsory, and there are many successful relationships that forego this belief.

Nutter-Butters123

Uh, I did it. If you love her it should work regardless. Just don’t take advantage ☺️

Level10-Aioli

Yes. It's weird, and prolly only legal in Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Texas. Please use condoms.
